Hey it's Vincent again for a new episode of Ski More Talk Less
and today the shortened variation will be Swedish scissors. Swedish scissors will be a very good
drill to practice your centered position on the ski, coordination and to have a way much more
playful ski. For the first drill it's important to start on the flat terrain with your poles.
The poles will help you to jump a bit higher. The goal is to jump as high as possible and at the
same time you will push the tip of the skis in the front and the tail of the other skis in the back
and then you swap. For the Swedish scissors it's very important to have a centered position on the
skis. If you lean too much back it will not be possible to lift up the tail of one ski
and if you lean too much forward it will be not possible to lift up the nose
and strong core is everything. For the second drill we will need a flat terrain
and the goal will be to repeat what we did for the first drill but now gliding down. Remember
it's important to stay centered on the skis. If I lean too far back it doesn't work.
As well fix a point with your eyes. Now that you have it very well on the flat and gliding
you can try it on a traverse on your edge. So you go sideways the slope and you do the same
movement as before. Important do it on both sides. Once you get the movement correctly
you can challenge yourself and try to glide as long as possible. I'm not Swedish but I like it.
For the third drill we will do the hockey stop the same as you did with my friend Linus
but now the goal will be to add the Swedish scissors at the end of the hockey stop.
Make sure that your upper body is facing downhill it will help you for the rotation.
In the Swedish scissors it's important to have only a feet rotation. If I rotate with my whole
body and if I lean inside then I will lose the balance. You see my upper body is always facing
downhill. It makes me find a very good grip on the edge. If I rotate too much then I lose a bit
the balance. So set a point with your eyes look in front of you and enjoy. Thank you for watching
don't forget to subscribe on our youtube channel. Leave us in the comments what do you want to see
for the next video and see you on the slope. Bye bye. Feel like James Bond in front of Shilthorne
with the camera on.
