Talking Watches.

Some of these watches are new, some of them are old, some of them are hype models, some of them
are just technical genius, but whatever way you spin it, these watches that I'm about to discuss
in this video, I am utterly obsessed with. Let's just dive into number one. So at number one,
we have a brand that is probably the most historically significant brand in the industry.
I don't know why I don't talk about them more. It is Breguet. This is the type 20 or XX chronograph
2075. Now, last year in 2025, Breguet celebrated their anniversary, their 250th
anniversary. And as a result, they released tons of really, really cool models. But this one,
this one stood out to me. Collectors have really been asking for the brand to fill a hole in their
pilots collection for years now. And the reason being is that a lot of the pilots models are just
that little bit too big. They wanted something smaller for those with slimmer wrists, but also
just because that is what the trend is doing at the moment. Everyone is getting smaller watches.
And as a result, the brand listened. The new type 20 is based on a rarely seen civilian model from
1955. And that specific model checks all the boxes. It's 38 mil. It has no date. It has two
registers. It's perfectly proportioned. And they've essentially just brought this back
in a killer way. So essentially what we're working with here is two new editions. Now,
both editions retain that kind of classic look from the civilian type 20 that we discussed earlier
with a bidirectional bezel, a 12 hour scale and a short twisted lug. Both of these models are made
from 18 carat Breguet gold. It's a combination of gold with silver, copper and also palladium
thrown in there. And it's satin finished with polished accents. This essentially throws it
somewhere between rose gold and yellow gold. It's slightly warmer than yellow, but doesn't
shout as loud as rose. And it is, of course, patented to this brand. These models come in at
38.3 millimetres in diameter and 13.2 millimetres in thickness. It's got balk shaped sapphire
crystal on the top, which makes it look really nice and vintage. And it has a beautiful leather
strap or both of these models have beautiful leather straps. Now, the black dial version
actually has a matte anodised aluminium dial, and this gives it such a beautiful hue. Whereas
the silver model with a solid 925 silver dial looks so, so different and actually changes the
look so much on this watch. Now, I feel when it comes to gold watches that they typically look
better with darker dials. And that's coming from someone that literally loves white dials,
loves bright dials. But I think they just look that little bit more classic and that little bit
more clean. Now, these models come in at around about £37,000, so they ain't cheap. But this
brand is probably one of the most historically significant in the industry. And I love the fact
that reducing those sizes down and making it more palatable for us watch nerds in the industry.
But before I move on to the next one, let me know what you think of that one in the comments,
because I know it's a little bit left field, but honestly, I'm taken. I really am. I literally have
a Breguet Marine on the wall, not a Type 20. I should probably get one of them. By the way,
before I go on, we are going to be taking a look at your watch collections. All you need to do is
follow the Chisholm Hunter Watches page on Instagram, and I'll be putting up a story asking
for your watch collections, and then we'll review them on this channel as we do bi-monthly. So if
you want to get involved in that, it's a really good place to meet the community and be connected.
Head to the Chisholm Hunter channel. I'll see you there.
So the next brand or specifically model that I've been totally obsessed with comes from a
personal tie. So recently on the Into the Mind podcast, which is my personal podcast,
we had the Lewis Heathen. Now, Lewis Heath is the CEO of Ann Ordain, which is actually a Glasgow or
Scotland-based watch company. So I definitely have personal roots there, but the actual watches
themselves are bloody gorgeous. And there's one in particular that stood out to me, the Model 3.
The Model 3 comes in at 39 millimetres in diameter. It has a lug-to-lug of 46 millimetres and a case
depth of 10.45 millimetres. The case is polished 316L stainless steel, which is really nice and
kind of glistens in the light. It draws your eye to the dial detail, which is the big seller of this
watch, right? But we'll get onto that in a second. The movement is the SW300 Salita movement. But as
I've said in many other videos, just because the movement isn't in-house per se does not make it a
bad movement. I mean, you wouldn't look at a BMW car and say, well, that's a terrible car. You'd
say it's good, it's tried and tested, but they themselves are mass-produced. But then you get
the key on this watch that really opened it up. God, I'm just throwing out analogies left,
right, and centre here. But it really opened it up to me. It opened it up as a brand that was no
longer just a brand playing around in watches. They had found their USP. They had found what
they're brilliant at and do it better than any other brand. And it is the dial. So the dial
itself is this absolutely stunning organic texture that is actually created through layers and layers
and layers of enamel. Now, the interesting thing about enamel, and this is coming from Lewis,
who's very good with this kind of stuff, better than me, is when you first create the dial in
enamel, you need to layer them up in order to get that depth. You need to put them back in and out
of essentially what is an oven, right? It's a really, really hot oven. Now, when you do that,
the dial expands and shrinks and expands and shrinks. So think about the maths and the genius
it takes to figure out exactly how big that dial would have to be for it to then fit in a 39 mil
watch after the fact that it's been cooked about 10 times to get that detail. It's simply outrageous
technology. Now, there's two different colours that I'm obsessed with here. I saw the aqua
in person, beautiful, but the lichen colour, now that's what really tickled my pickle. That was
weird, but it was really cool. I really, really liked that watch. Now, he didn't actually have
one to show, but I was obsessed. These watches come in at £3,695, but there's a three to four
year waiting list and purely that's because they don't have enough enamel specialists and watch
makers to fulfil the demand of which the brand is going. I even tried to give him a cheeky heads up
and say, is there any chance of skipping the list? And he said, no. Moving quickly on from that
micro brand to a bigger brand, a brand that we were going to get onto eventually because I
literally have it on, but it is a watch that I'm obsessed with at the moment. It's a watch that
I've not taken off the wrist for a month and a half now and it is the Tudor Ranger 36 mil.
Now, these new models come in June white and it's absolutely stunning in the light. Actually,
because we were filming this watch in Finland, the light is quite blue. It's the reflection of
the snow. It's quite white and blue because there's not really sun that comes in. It's cloudy,
so it's like kind of blue. And because of that blue tone, it made the dial look even whiter
than it is. And it's weird that you get that shift depending on the light. For example,
now we're in a warmish room and it looks definitely more June, whereas there,
it looked more white. These watches come in at 36 millimetres in diameter, 19 millimetres in lug
width and 11 millimetres in case thickness. They have the manufacturer calibre MT5400,
which is fully cost certified, 70 hours of power, and that's entirely self-winding. And
they're also waterproof to 100 metres. But aside from the specs, because I know that a lot of you
will know about the specs already, this is the tool watches tool watch. It's the bare minimum.
Everything has been stripped away and you've got the time to work with and that's it. It is a
workhorse of a watch and that's why I like it. It can join me on any adventure I want it to
and it probably will be fine. I don't want to say absolutely, definitely it'll be fine because I
know that Adrian broke his Rolex Explorer recently, so I don't want to say that, but
it probably will be fine. It is the workhorse of Tudor watches. It comes in at £2,980.
Hamilton is a brand that's been getting it right over the last couple of years and honestly,
when I first looked at Hamilton, the brand or the watch that came to mind as being obsessive,
me being obsessed with? Me being obsessed over? Yes, that's the one. Me being obsessed over had
to be the Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical Power Reserve. That was new last year and it still
remains one of my favorite watches in their catalog, but it's just not quite different enough
to what I have. Whereas this watch, the Hamilton Khaki Field Quartz 38 millimeters, now that is
that little bit more different and to me, that little bit more fun. This watch comes in at 38
millimeters in diameter, 8.3 mil in thickness, so it's beautifully thin. It of course has a
quartz movement, comes in full stainless steel, has sapphire crystal glass and 50 bar or 50 meters
of water resistance, which is 5 bar, but what got me about this watch wasn't just the specs of it
because it's thinner. It was the way that the glass looks in the light and I know that's such
a bizarre concept for people that aren't in the watch industry to get their head around because
glass is glass, right? But for some reason, the glass on the quartz version looks so much better
than the glass on the mechanical and I think it's something to do with the polishing, the fact that
it's maybe more domed on the mechanical version, but the glass looks so much better, so much less
reflective, so much more clean and I was really obsessed with this. Actually, I was so obsessed
that I did a hands-on review of both of these models and did a versus review and showed you
them side by side and honestly, I think for the money, this is a brilliant buy. It comes in at
375 pounds. Jaeger-LeCoultre is a fantastic brand. It's a brand that I struggle with because of the
accent, but it is a brilliant brand and actually, I've got a story about GLC before I get into this
specific model. When I was at Watches and Wonders two years ago, I believe, I remember going to the
stand and talking through some of the watches and my brother saying to me, you know, if I'm ever to
get married, it wouldn't be a Rolex that I'd wear. It wouldn't be a AP. It wouldn't be a Patek. It
wouldn't be any of these fancy or, you know, more, not fancy is not the word, maybe more hyped over
watches. It would be a GLC because they are, in his eyes and also in my eyes in part, the height
of luxury. This is the brand new GLC Reversal Tribute Monoface Small Seconds coming in full
pink gold. Now, everybody knows the story about the GLC Reversal. Essentially, the watch was created
to shield watches, GLCs, from people playing polo. So the rich people would play polo and they wanted
a way to protect their watches because they needed to have the watch on while playing polo.
So they invented this way of flipping the watch round to guard it. And that's how the Reversal
came around. And it is their classic line now. This watch in particular just screams GLC. It
screams elegance. It screams and oozes class. And that's partially because it's in full gold. Now,
yeah, being in full gold, this watch would not be in my price range probably ever,
but I can appreciate it. And it looks cool. The bracelet, the Maltese bracelet. Oh my god,
it's sexy. This watch comes in at 45.6 millimeters in length, but 27.4 millimeters in width. It comes
in at a thickness of 7.56 millimeters, has water resistance to 30 meters. Although if you're
spending, you know, 37,000, yeah, 37,600 on a watch, I probably wouldn't take it in the water.
Just me though. This watch has the manual winding caliber 822, which is absolutely stunning. And
it has seconds, hours, and minutes. And of course, because it is a mono face, when you flip this
over, you have these solid case backs. So it doesn't have two faces on there. And as a result,
what I would do is get it engraved. Can you imagine having a really nice
engraving that signifies a moment in time on this watch? And when you flip it over,
you're reminded of that. That is awesome. I actually got an engraving on this recently
for passing 100,000 subscribers. So thank you guys so much for that. And it actually has
a CH logo on the back. So honestly, from the bottom of my heart,
thank you. And if you do enjoy these videos, hit that subscribe button. I'd really appreciate it.
The next watch on the list is taking a big, or watches on the list, I should say,
is taking a big step down in price because it is Seiko. Now these are the brand new Seiko Speed
Timer Youngtimer, which is kind of a mouthful to get your, but it's a cool concept when you
actually realize what it's about. The term Youngtimer refers to cars produced between
roughly the 1980s and the mid-1990s. These cars are not yet considered classics,
but they do have a strong retro appeal to the younger generations. They are, as you would think,
future classics, which is a really cool thing. I mean, it's complicated, but once you understand
that, that's quite cool. Now these Seiko Youngtimers come in multiple different colors.
You have white, you have this beautiful beigey, pinky kind of color. It's like a pale pink
or a mint green. They come in at 39 millimeters in diameter, 13.3
mil in thickness, coming at 45.5 millimeters in case length or lug-to-lug, and have a solar
movement, which is accurate to minus 15 to plus 15 seconds per month. This is the caliber V192,
and they come in full stainless steel. These models come in at around about 640 pounds,
and they are fun. They're funky. I actually really like them. I like something a little
bit different. Amiga, that was going to be one that we're going to have to touch on,
because I am me, and Amiga is king. Initially, I had thought of the new Amiga Speedmaster
Grayside of the Moon, and then I jumped to another Speedmaster, the Reverse Panda,
and then I thought, no, I've got a Speedmaster. What am I really obsessed with? I thought,
it has to be this. This is the brand new, well, not quite brand new now. This is the Amiga Planet
Ocean Gen 4. Now, there's a couple of different variations to choose between, but personally,
the orange, hot damn, that's hot. Now, there was tons of upgrades to this watch. I mean,
you have a totally new case. You got rid of the helium escape valve. You made it thinner,
smaller. You kept the functionality. They adopted technology from other
watches within the range to keep the water resistance, but also to make it thinner,
which is really, really cool. I dived into that in my Amiga Seamaster video, but all in all,
this was just an unbelievable upgrade. It made the Seamaster something that was
solidly a tool watch, so much more palatable to everyday use and everyday wear, and that's why
I absolutely loved it. They come in at 42 millimeters in diameter, 13.79 millimeters
in thickness, 47.5 millimeters lug-to-lug, and have the Amiga caliber 8912 self-winding movement
with 60 hours of power. Now, these models come in at 7,700 pounds with the bracelet,
and if you want a full review on them, more in depth than I've just kind of glazed over it,
then just head to the channel. There's definitely a video there.
This is the Fears Redcliffe 39.5, and this was kind of off the cuff for me. I kind of stumbled
upon it. It's not exactly that new or that old. It's just kind of there, existing, and nobody
talked about it, and I really liked the way that the PVD contrasts with that ceramic and the orange
flares are through that. It's really simplistic, and I really liked it. It comes in at 39.5
millimeters in diameter, comes in full 316L stainless steel, which is frosted and hardened,
and that makes it nine times harder than regular stainless steel. The kind of linings on there are
DLC finished, like the crown, the bezel, and the case back, and that's why you have that contrast
in color, and then the dial is in carbon black, not quite finished in black. It's just slightly
off, and it's textured with orange flares running through there, and a date window at the three
o'clock mark. It's water resistance to 150 meters. The movement on this model is the G100 movement,
which is entirely self-winding, and has 68 hours of power. I just feel like Fears are a brand that
not many people speak about. They're kind of those that are in the know are in the know,
but not many people are, if you get what I mean, and I think they're really cool.
Next up, we have a watch that is so unattainable to me, it's actually funny, but I will never,
never give it up. It's always going to be a dream. Ever since I saw it, I thought,
that's the one. This is the brand new full titanium overseas tourbillon from Vacheron
Constantin. Now, contrary to popular belief, the dial on this is called deep red, and it's actually
different to the burgundy dial that was on the perpetual calendar. This model comes in at 42.5
milliliters in diameter, 10.39 mil in thickness, has 50 meters of water resistance. Of course,
comes in full titanium, so it's a bit darker than the stainless steel that you can see in the
previous model, but really where this watch shines through is the movement. Oh my god, it's,
for a watch guy, wow. This model's movement is the reference 2160, entirely self-winding,
comes in at 31 millimeters in diameter, 5.65 mil in thickness, has 188 parts, 30 joules,
and 80 hours of power. This is all with a tourbillon in there. Again, I've gone over
what the tourbillon does exactly in the review we did on this watch, if you want to hear more
about it, but god damn, this is sexy. Now, the price isn't even on the website, but the assumption
is it's over £100,000. So, the last one's an interesting one, because originally I was going
to put this, the brand new IWC Portugieser chronograph in serratinium, in full serratinium.
This is the blacked out version, but then I thought, it's just that little bit difficult
to read for me. It's just that little bit out there, and then, you know, I kind of gravitated
towards something a little bit different, something a little bit more funky. This is the IWC
Pilots 41 George Russell edition. It's limited to 1,063 pieces, and of course this commemorates
the collaboration between George Russell and also with IWC. Now, this is, this is, this is,
this is, oh god, this is the thing. I don't have an affiliation really to F1, I think it's really
cool, I love what they do, but that puts me off this watch, because I don't have an affiliation
to F1. I love this watch as it is, but because I don't have a thing for George Russell, or that
team, I wouldn't convert on this watch. Does that make sense? And I think that's a lot, a lot of
brands can get that wrong. They can collaborate on a design that's a brilliant design, but if you
don't have an attachment to the collaborator, you're not going to be converted. Anyway, that's
rant over, let's talk about this watch. This model comes in at 41 millimeters in diameter,
11.4 millimeters in height, and has 10 bar, or 100 meters of water resistance. It comes in a
beautiful black and blue, with serotonin being the main material here, so you have this beautiful
contrast between the baby blue and the black, and that's what sells this watch for me. The color
combinations are unbelievable. Now, when you flip this watch over, you have the 63, no prizes for
guessing why that is, but again, that's something that I don't really have the collaboration with
George Russell, so I just don't, you know, it's not, it's not for me. Yeah, I do love this watch.
I do love the design. It's just that thing with, with the F1, I just don't have it, but this watch
in total comes in at 7,300 pounds, and if you do have a thing for F1, it might be the one for you.
