How Far Can You Simplify a Home Without Losing Its Soul?
Some houses try to stand out. Boulder Cabin chooses the opposite.
Designed by Dynia Architects and set between the urban valley and the mountains of Boulder, Colorado, this minimalist retreat explores how architecture can step back and let the landscape lead. Through controlled openings, expansive glass walls, and a restrained material palette, the house blurs the boundary between shelter and nature.
In this video, we explore how the design works, how each side of the cabin responds to the site, and why simplicity can be more powerful than spectacle.
If you enjoy architecture, minimalist design, and homes that truly connect with nature, this is a project you don’t want to miss.
