Koi pond viewed from a foot bath

This is the view of a pond from a footbath at a hotel in Shimobe Onsen, Yamanashi Prefecture.

As you look down at the pond while soaking your feet in the bath, your eyes naturally flow from the Nishikigoi carp swimming leisurely in the water, to the central stone, and then to the bamboo grove in the distance.

The depth of the foreground, middle ground, main view, and background overlaps to create a very tranquil space.
