What do you have to say for all the tech heads out there that will say you shouldn't put your speakers on the same surface as the turntable? We don't have another option. So we're gonna deal with it. I agree. We don't have the space and to be honest I reckon it works fine. We haven't had to jump around. No. We don't throw massive parties. No we did that once and we blew up a set of brand new speakers. Someone switched it over to Spotify and put some bang bang track on and it went pop pop. Was that when we were young and dumb? Thanks for rigging this up Jono you are the best. Do you know this is my favorite piece of furniture ever? Like ever. Because you've designed it. Yes it is. Flashback to our living room makeover however many moons ago and... 2019 moons ago. Yeah it was a while ago. Yeah. Love our music. Now that we're here basically full time we needed to bring the music to us didn't we Jono? And this is literally we don't have a lot of space in this cute little cabin but I thought this was quite a good space for it. I think it fits it fits just you've got literally to the edge of the wall. Yes and so this is our entrance we're making a big first impression. I've actually got an artwork getting framed up as we speak so that's going to go here. Which frame are you going with? This. The one on the left? Yes. All right. I think that'll look really nice. Yes. Good choice. Yes. So now the fun bit is putting the vinyl in and the biggest question of the day Jono. Alphabetical or by color? It's not by color. Color of record. By genre. By color. I thought you were going to like color coordinate. I'm not that like. I thought you were going to color coordinate them all. No but yeah do I go by the alphabet or do I go by genre? What did you do last time? Well like do you want Duran Duran sitting with Dr. Dre or do you want like you know the R&B. I think you want it by genre. Yeah okay all right. I think that's what you did last time. I think that's what I did last time and I think it works better so I think I'll do that. Okay. All right cool. What are you doing dog? You gonna help? He's my emotional support dog. You gonna help? Yeah. He doesn't let me dance in my own home anymore. Anytime I dance or sing. Genre is actually way harder. Oh I'm making my life really difficult aren't I? Oh this is gonna take me a long time. I'm gonna need. How about you just get them in. No because then I'll never open them up. Let's just get them in so we can empty all the boxes. Okay. And then you can do a resort on a rainy day because it's actually quite sunny and warm outside. Yeah but I don't want to go to the beach. Okay we'll go to the beach. Super stoked to have all of the vinyl on display. We've prettied up this corner now. I love it. Have I categorized everything? No. Ran out of time so now I just have to rifle through all the vinyl to find what I want but I have pulled out a couple of vinyls to use in this stand. So these are the ones that are on repeat. Michael Kuanoka that basically is on repeat all the time isn't it Jono? Sure is. We love him. The artwork came up beautifully. I love this koala print. Half room framing to a tee did such a beautiful job. This is a Carla Fletcher piece. I just love it. I love everything about it. It's perfect for here. We've got a koala in the trees outside. We've got our own little baby koala who's sitting in this chair over there. And then we've got a little marsh the koala here so it's perfect. We are not finished yet. There's plenty to do. I like the way this leads onto the dining table. It's got a good feeling to it. I do want to do more here. So the hallway needs to continue. I want to put a coat rack up here. We've got a bench here for the time being. And I've got a mirror as well that I want to put up as well Jono. Need to get onto that. But can I just say the lighting that we've put in has changed the game so much. So those are the Fjord wall sconces from Beacon. So much better. So much brighter. This is actually a really good way to see the wall color. So Julux wash and wear on the walls. Bongo drum is the color. You can see it against that white. So you can see how kind of warm and neutral it is. And it's not sort of white at all. So I really like the fresh pop of white that we get through in the artwork. That bongo drum on the walls is going to continue through all of this area into the kitchen, into all the other rooms. But that's for another day.
