Eight aces he served, someone on Zatorski, Bednoj goes again, over on the first ball and a touch
by Takahashi, then Onodera finds the ball and that's an early break point. That's going to be
something interesting to watch. Into Slivka, Kacmarek, good dig by Yamamoto, Miura, shut down
He didn't quite get the run-up that he wants, Miura in transition there after the great dig
from Yamamoto down the line and just three sets. Seven six early in the first
run, oh tips that off the hands and Janusz can't get down quick enough.
Another good service, Kacmarek slightly overcooks that, there it is, there it is,
oh that is a sight to behold. It really is, I mean that's probably the most electric play
in all of volleyball right, gets both blockers to fight for Poland.
It's gone heavy again, Zatorski with a better pass, oh the kill block's huge, it is all Japan,
Onodera and Ishikawa next to each other and no way through for Kacmarek. You can see they just
get shoulder to shoulder right here, big straight over press, the fans trying to get behind their
squad here but Japan are playing beautifully. It's a lay on again, well he's two from two.
It's a little bit fortunate for Ishikawa but when you stay aggressive good things happen.
It's gone for it again and it's Ishikawa on the pipe and good things continue to happen.
Yeah and again Japan are perfectly in system, look at that position from Sakita,
he's got every single option. Yamauchi, the Panasonic Panther taken early then by Slivka,
Bieniek touches off the block, Kacmarek, good dig, Ran Takahashi in a great spot
and Ishikawa cannot miss. I mean these look like warm-up hits he's hitting right now out of the
back row, it is unbelievable and again. Bieniek, really good pass from Ishikawa, oh really good
block and it is huge, Kacmarek. Just a moment ago sneaked a little off speed shot through Kacmarek,
full speed though, Kacmarek all over. Onodera serving for the set,
oh what a return, now what can Poland do from here?
Absolutely nothing, it's off the fingertips. Yeah all right, another good service that Torski,
Leon, oh Leon has hit that so far over everyone, to his five aces in the tournament so far.
Passes up to Leon, oh Leon, check the floor for holes, oh my goodness.
I mean this is because it slows the tempo down a little bit of the game, you know you save a time
oh that's more like it, much better tempo wasn't it, from the Ishikawa pass. A couple of moments
now, Miura always serves aggressively, serves to Slivka, Leon, good block touch, Ran Takahashi,
Miura, superb from Zatorski and Leon makes it work. Ishikawa, another ace, another leave,
what are they doing? That's the second time Poland have ducked out of the way.
Oh this is going to be very close but you can see.
Ishikawa makes the pass, Ran Takahashi, chance to extend the lead now for Poland,
then the bump set over to Kacmarek, Yamamoto chases well, Ran Takahashi,
someone's gonna have to deal with this, it's Miura, Janusz, Leon. Look at that from Yamamoto
though, just standing in the line of fire, can't believe he didn't come up with that one. Capable
of getting a service run together, he's not going to do it there though, Janusz has to
have his wits about him and it is massive. Two aces already in the match, oh what a service,
Ishikawa does well, Takahashi, shutdown, three. Mr Gurbic, you asked for a break point from
Pieniak, you got a break point from Pieniak, that's just great coaching. 23-23, set point beckons
but for who? Kacmarek, Ishikawa digs, Miura gets there, Yamamoto offers up a free ball,
where are they going? Slivka, great chase but not great enough and it is Poland's set point.
In the front as well, right at the net, taken by Onodera, here's the touch, now's the chance,
Leon to level the match, not this time, Slivka, back to Leon, oh the block returns, Inkel, Sekita,
run, set point saved, incredible rally, incredible hustle by Japan and we go again.
Hanging tough here. Here's Pieniak, oh he's the guy you want to serve but that's a great first
touch by Ishikawa and Miura straight into the block, shut him out and it's a third set point
for Poland. Perfect pass and getting the stuff on Miura who's been next to untouchable. Pieniak
for the set, third time of asking, great service, over pack, Kacmarek puts it away
and the semi-final's all squared. Left hand, cultured left hand, sends it into Ishikawa
and it's recycled, brilliant set, such soft hands, great rally to start with.
Oh what a pate block, that was a great set too.
Here is Kacmarek again, Sekita, sorry Yamamoto does a bit better this time and Onodera
can only find Zatorski and this time Leon pulls another tool out of the toolkit, less power,
more precision but still points. That's slammed in. Realistically that set didn't even get high
enough for him. 10-4. Nice touch by Kacmarek. Nothing for Slivka this time. Oh that is glorious.
Ishikawa on the fadeaway. Very Kobe-esque right, just kind of backpedaling after he drops the
fallaway jumper on you. Taking over for Yamauchi. Like for like change. They are digging everything
Poland and they're not working super hard to do it either. Kacmarek doesn't find the floor, Ishikawa
and then Miyahara. That's a little nibble back for Japan. Japan to be as good as they were the first set.
Spectacular. Onodera with the service. Kacmarek, oh bruised, bruised through to win that point.
Best digger in the Japanese league. He gets a touch there. Yamamoto, Eiro, Rahn.
When they do it, they do it really well. Onodera to serve into Semenyuk. Excellent third set.
Hits the winner. They've won it 25-17. Bieniek, another good service. Yamamoto
forces Sakita wide. Miyahara, oh three blockers up and he does not care.
There's his third ace. Zatorski steps in to prevent the fall and Leon lights out.
Love that from Zatorski though, crashing that short ball. Shlipka, Rahn with the pass. He's
gonna get blocked. Kacmarek, one on one. That's a couple times now, just a great move from Kacmarek.
You see him drop into that egg. Shlipka, 7-7. That is that break point. Disappeared.
Angles and Zatorski on the dig. Leon, 8-7 Poland lead. How is that possible? That of surprise
and obviously to light. Sakita, oh they needed that. Onodera, great kill.
And if you're Japan, you gotta... Janusz with options. Leon, absolutely unstoppable.
That's one of those things you can't control if you're Japan. Just keep
peppering in these great serves if Shlipka sticks it. Overpass, patient from Shlipka.
Block from Kentaro. They needed that. Oh and he's just tripped over Philip Blaine out of his shot.
Shlipka come up with from the end line here. Incredible from Alexander Shlipka.
Oh my goodness, the perfect line serve. I mean, the fortitude.
Right here. Yamamoto nearly sends that into the jumbotron. Oh, down the line. Mishiyama.
How about that right there? The double sub coming through immediately. 18-21. Shlipka the target
again. Leon, getting more on it but not enough. Let's see what he can come up with. Big service
Shlipka down the line. Had to dig deep here. Japan tested them.
