Exclusive'Hoppers' World Premiere Lights Up Hollywood

Pixar Animation Studios hosted the world premiere of its latest feature, Hoppers, in Hollywood on Monday night. The film introduces a high-concept sci-fi premise, where scientists develop technology allowing humans to transfer their consciousness into synthetic animals to study the wild firsthand. I've worked on my fair share of animated films and Pixar's at the top of the list. You know, they just, they choose interesting stories, they develop them, they take their time with them. That's why they're always not only funny, not only for kids, but they resonate with an emotional component that is huge. They seem to be of the moment. We're talking about environment, we're talking about, you know, living in harmony with our space. So I think it's, all of that stuff adds up to an important, fun movie. Chief Creative Officer Pete Docter emphasized that while the film features Pixar's signature emotional resonance, it includes a sharp comedic twist. The thing that hooked me right away when Daniel pitched it was, it's animals, you get to step into their world, but they're plotting to overthrow humanity. And it evolved from there, but I just love that twist. The film is set for a nationwide theatrical release on the 6th of March.
