This house doesn’t shout.
It doesn’t try to dominate the landscape.
It doesn’t rely on spectacle.

Set on a wooded riverfront site near Montreal, Residence de l’Isle is an exercise in restraint, geometry, and quiet presence.

Built from a simple square, the house is carved by courtyards that bring light, air, and time into its core. Brick, wood, and stone are left honest and tactile, designed to age alongside the trees that surround it.

This is architecture that reveals itself slowly.
A house shaped by silence, mass, and patience.
An example of how less expression can create more experience.

Watch closely.
This one doesn’t impress at first glance — and that’s the point.
