Disney's Animal Kingdom Day! | Wildlife Express Train! | New Food & Desserts!

Hello at Animal Kingdom. We are coming along. We're going to hop, take a ride on Everest. We are going to grab a new to us lunch spot. And first time ever, we're going to take the low train ride here. Yeah, and then we're also going to try to find some of those new desserts that we've been seeing. But yeah, so far, it looks like a kind of a light entry. So it shouldn't be too bad. Weather is nice. It is supposed to be 80 today. So holy cow. Have a little fun Animal Kingdom day. There's the always wonderful tree of life. The castle of Animal Kingdom is what I always say. That's fair. Castle of Animal Kingdom. Gotta get our magnet. I was so excited about lunch, I almost forgot about the magnet. Dare we get it now? Yes. All right. She's wanting us to get the magnet. Because if not, I'll probably forget again. Right here to the right as you come in. Very easy. And the line doesn't look half bad. Tap your ticket and show your ID. And they tell you where to go. Very easy peasy. Look at all the little babies. Stacks and stacks. All right, thank you. Very cute. That's going right on the refrigerator. Got our magnet. There was plenty of magnets. It was not a long line. And we just had a little magic shot. It looked like a 360. So we'll put that in up here. Yeah. And if the line goes down, usually where Russell and Doug are doing photo shoots, they actually have Zootopia characters. So if the line goes down a little, maybe we can at least show you the characters or maybe get a picture. There we go. But now we think we need to find our lunch spot. We're going to head to Arambe, I believe it's called. For some wraps. Yeah. Get some wraps, get some new stuff. We've got some desserts to find. Preacher Comforts. Get a little Starbucks action there. Here's where we are eating and you can do a mobile order. So we just quickly typed in our order. Ah, it says it's already ready. All right. Pick up window three. That's cool. All right. With this many people, though, I thought for sure it's going to be a really big wait. So we just got to find pick up three. Oh, mobile order two, mobile order three. Wow. Can't believe it's this fast. OK, we have the harissa chicken wrap. So it's at Arambe Market. It's chicken tandoori rotisserie chicken with a harissa mayonnaise wrapped in flour tortilla with French fries. Actually, not a bad deal. Only ten ninety nine. I mean, they're a little on the small side, so I would say probably do not share. But ten ninety nine with fries and I did already get into mine and I think it's really good. It kind of reminds me a little bit of tuna fish, even though I know it's chicken. So maybe it's chicken of the sea. And you mean Jessica Simpson? Oh, like. So it's like a like a chicken salad. Yeah. So it's actually pretty good. It's got a nice flavor and the fries are nice and hot. Let's see. Oh, wow. Still hot. Yeah, kind of like a minced chicken chicken salad. Let's see. I quite like that. Yeah, the wrap isn't overly filled, but it's filled enough that you're not going to have it spilling all over the place. But it's a good eatery. All right. So a good call. And this is new to this market here. And we did see a really good dessert right before we got to this area of the park. Huge line. But we may have to go ahead and brave the line just to show you that dessert. The line was probably longer than ever. We'll check back in here when we're done and see if we still love it. Yeah, very nice. Looking at the park today. So the Wildlife Express train. We've never done this. Today's the day. It's only a five minute wait. Zootopia, 30 minutes. Everest, 40. I think I would do that at 40, especially if it came in at more like 30. Kelly River Rapids, 45. Safari, 45. Navi River, 50. Flight of Passage, 65. Actually, not bad wait times. Luckily, right next door to Rambe Market, the train service. So it's a good thing we want to do this. First time. First time. So exciting. Rafiki's Planet Watch. Okay. And we were just told by this cast member that Rafiki's, the train closes Sunday. So it's a good thing we're riding it for the first time. Because they're going to bring Bluey into the parks. Yeah, it may not be Rafiki's anymore. And they're going to, didn't she say they're going to add some animals too? Yeah, Bluey. But real animals too. Oh, I wasn't listening. But a good thing we're picking today to do this because it, oh, there's a train coming in. First time. How exciting. Not a bad wait either. Oh, so you sit facing out. Here we go. First time on the Wildlife Express. It is moving. Speed limit, five miles an hour. All right. You can sit down. It's in the shade. Welcome aboard the Wildlife Express with service to Rafiki's Planet Watch. Cheated building 15. But yeah, look in here. I saw a hippo. There he is. Walt Disney and his animators modeled characters from the film after the movements and natural behaviors of their real life. Well, this is why we are now approaching conservation. For your safety and the safety of those around you. Okay, we're going left and right here. All right, we got to be almost here. We're here. Conservation station. Yeah, and this other side of the park here, the train is the only way to get here. So if you haven't ridden the train, you haven't seen this side of the park. All right, there's Rafiki. So it puts you out on this little path here. So this is going to be all new to us. I'm not sure. This is just a walkthrough zoo. That's what I'm guessing. Food, water, shelter. What does an animal need? Here's Rafiki again. Oh, he appears to be pointing us this way. And then we're going to do a little U-turn. World of nature. We are one with nature. All right, we're just kind of winging it, if you could tell. Well, Rafiki is showing us the way. He is. And the others walking in front. Now it's another Rafiki pointing us to the right. He's like all over the place. Conservation, people taking care of animals in the wild places where they live. All right, all right. Seems like it might be Bluey telling us when it reopens. All right, it puts us right here. All right, we're gonna have to go in and see what this is all about. We never even knew this was here. That's crazy. This is Conservation Station. Got an elephant and birds. That's cool. Oh, nice and cool in here. A world of choices. Left or right? I don't know, go left? Yeah, it's like water. On the ceiling too. Having a little drawing class. Everyone has these clipboards. Now for his nose, especially if I have any dog or cat owners. They're also going to have this wet nose. I want to show you. This is cool. They have a nice little oval shape. We don't actually draw it on to no one, but it's going to be that little line. But it doesn't do much for us. Oh, cool. It connects from their mouth up in their nose. I don't feel like you have to shave your hair. Oh, we got an animal hospital. Good to see there's nobody, no animals in here. That's a good thing. This one was seen to have an injury to his leg. So Dr. Ryan is going to be taking a look at it today. So you're welcome to stick around and watch our procedure. Well, they're getting a pigeon to look at. So this pigeon has a hurt foot. They're going to be checking out the foot. But they said animals under 500 pounds come here, over 500, and make a house call. Is there a way to get out of the house? Yeah. I don't know. You guys are getting scared. Hello, fella. Yeah, like she's... Yes. Yeah, you know what? Okay, you want to put it away? Everyone's favorite, bring the shot. Oh, it's done. It's done, but it's pretty fast. It's pretty fast. That's a Victoria Crown pigeon. Bird looks nice and calm. Vet is taking good care of her, or him. Goodness! We have an animal encounter here. Holy cow. Oh my gosh, they're goats. All right. Andrew is probably going to like this. Oh my gosh. Oh, look at his little goatee. I got you. Oh my goodness. All right, I thought they were playing with the ball, but it's a feeder. Do you need to go in here? Look at them. They're so precious. That is so freaking cool. All right. It's not obvious how people are getting in here. Yeah, it's over there. But over there it said exit only. No, the entrance was over there. Oh. Oh my gosh. He did a little stomp. We got a python in there. Holy cow. Oh, it's all heads over there. Yeah, look how big this guy is. Wow. Right? Would not want to find that in our Illini area. We found it. We're heading in. Oh boy. Oh my gosh. Oh, look at this friend. Look at them all. You may have to just make your way in there. That one's being a little like our dog. Trying to hog the whole thing. It's just water. Oh my gosh. Nothing over there. All right. Andrea likes this one. Tonight. He left the second he knew. Man. All right. Next. Look at those fellow guys like falling asleep. Hi friend. Two feet in. Yeah. Reminds us of little Orlai. That's kind of the way to do it. Oh my gosh. Doesn't seem like the most appetizing of food, but I guess they like it. I don't think we would like that at all. Oh, look at the black and white one. That one looks like a little cow. Look at them all. All right. This side of the park was really cool. Rafiki's Planet Watch. But now we're going to head back. We won't show the train because we showed it already. And we're going to try to get a ride on Everest maybe. Didn't even know this was here. She wants to go back. Look what we have here. Two amazing desserts. First one. So this is the cookie dough brownie ice cream sandwich. Oh my gosh. And then this one is a Pass Holders special exclusive. It is a carrot cake sundae. Oh man. All right. I'm going to go right in. It's got the hard shell. Instead of chocolate, it's like orange. Carrot cake sundae. That is really, really good. And then do you like the little graham cracker crumbs? Well I think it is like graham cracker crumbs but then it's also roasted pecans. Go ahead in for a bite of that. And then this is the ice cream cookie dough sandwich. That looks amazing. Oh yeah. Look at that. I hope that tastes heavily of cookie dough. Does it? All right. You like that? Oh yeah. All right. Let me give this a go. Oh my gosh. Okay. That looks really good. All right. Let's see. All right. This is very good. I'm having trouble with which one I like better. This is a lot of fudge, a lot of chocolate and cookie dough. And this one's really good. Yeah. It's really hard to decide but I really, really love anything cookie dough and I really like the little crumbs here and I love vanilla ice cream and this orange just adds to it. Yeah. These are winners. They're both really good but they're different in enough ways that I don't know if I could actually pick which is the best. Yeah. Now this I know Andrea said she's not big on carrot cake but it's not really. You may have probably carrot cake crumbles but mainly we're talking it's ice cream. And a sundae. We didn't even try the waffle cover. So what makes it is it's actually birthday cake ice cream not vanilla so the ice cream portion alone I really like but the cookie dough and the chocolate make this. It's hard to choose. So get both because you can't decide. Oh. I didn't try the shell. Alright. Waffle bowl. Yes. Who doesn't want a waffle bowl? Dip it in a little ice cream. I hear the crunch. It's like a waffle cone. Hence the waffle bowl. Yeah. This is outstanding. Okay. Wow. I want more of the waffle bowl. Alright. Good stuff. Good stuff. I can't pick a winner. Get them both. We've done all we could but at the bottom is definitely carrot cake. Yeah. The whole layer of carrot cake on top of the waffle bowl. Ah. So good but we're like sweeted out. I'm still eating it but I'm going to have the biggest tummy ache but I think I'll be worth it. She's going in. Going in hot cold. We found a path that leads under the tree line. This is the way we came with my parents and my sister was. It was a really hot day. All the carvings in there are so cool. It's been a while since we've been here. Look at us. Return glasses here. Look at us discovering new and returning. Oh. It's because we're near Utopia. Wow. Nothing to see here. Keep moving. Oh there's a lion. Arr. Smell that water. A giant crane over there. Definitely some construction happening now but we are going to go ahead and take a little trip on Everest. And no it is not a crane with wings as I thought Andy was pointing out. Oh. If you want a bar just go right there. Get your drink on. Look at all the flags here. Always looks so cool. Alright. Looks very busy in here. I'm hoping we can. Wow. Alright. Alright. Safe to say this will be the longest line we've ever waited in. It says 60 minute wait. What time you got? 4.07. 4.07. We shall see. He thought the cookie wait was going to be long. This is a long line. So Andrew and I were talking. What denomination of bills down here would make somebody want to risk getting banned from the park to jump down and get it? Like a $100 bill? I don't know. There's a $100 there but I don't know what country that is. Oh there's a $200. $1000. Maybe it's Lira. Wow. And a little Disney gift card. Alright. It's 4.56 so under an hour. Maybe 50 minutes. Your chariot has arrived. Here we go. Front row. We are off. Take a little expedition on Everest. A little update. You saw we were seated in the train. Now we are not. They are actually shutting down the ride. We had to exit the train. They're giving everyone lightning names. So I guess it's going to be downhill. Yeah but we've been evacuated now from Everest for the first time. For the first time but luckily we were right there. No walking down a hill or anything like that. But man I wanted to ride Everest. I wanted to walk down the hill. Alright. Our change of plans due to the malfunction on Everest. We're in Pandora. We're going to go ahead and do Navi River. We have a lightning lane. Alright. Zootopia it is. 15 minutes standby. 15 minutes. We're not having much luck. We actually don't have a ride other than the train. And yet we've been here like quite a few hours. Wow. So our lightning lane they should have told us we can't use it for Navi and Flight of Passage but we didn't know that until we got all the way to Navi and they said sorry. Yeah they're like cast members should have told you you can't use for both the rides in Pandora. The moose should have told us out front. Moose out front should have told you. Yo yo. Hey but we get this side at least. They can't take that away. Just got out of Zootopia. We did really like it. Might be better than Bugs Life. Yeah I think we both agreed it was better than Bugs Life. It was precious. We may have to re-watch the movie because I don't know if I'm anxious to.
