The search for Nancy Guthrie is entering its third week.

An FBI spokesperson says that it has received preliminary results from the DNA testing of a glove found about two miles from Guthrie's home. Authorities are now waiting for official confirmation.

After confirmation is received, the unknown male DNA profile will be entered into CODIS. That's the FBI’s national DNA database.

This process typically takes 24 hours from when the bureau receives DNA.

Investigators found about 16 gloves in various areas near Guthrie's house. Most of them were discarded by searchers.

Nancy Guthrie, mother of “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie, was last seen at her Arizona home on January 31. She was reported missing the following day.

Last week, the FBI increased the reward in the case from $50,000 to $100,000.
