U.S. investors are suing the South Korean government, claiming that Seoul is discriminating against U.S.-based company Coupang.

On Thursday, three more investors—Abrams Capital, Durable Capital Partners, and Foxhaven Asset Management—joined the case.

Investors say that after Coupang’s data security breach in November, South Korea unlawfully investigated and handled the situation.

The investment firms submitted letters petitioning the U.S. government to investigate South Korea's actions.

Adam Farrar with the Center for Strategic & International Studies says this case has grown into a broader issue of claims of unfair treatment toward American tech companies.
