The long head of the triceps is the biggest part of the biggest muscle in your arm, yet almost nobody knows how to target it with peak contraction. The answer lies in knowing the anatomy. Unlike the other two heads of the triceps (lateral and medial), the long head does not originate on the humerus, instead, it originates from the infraglenoid tubercle of the scapula (in lay terms, the back of the shoulder). This means that in order to fully contract the long head, you must extend your arm behind your back at the shoulder joint. This video will show you how!
