For day two of our Devon adventure, we packed up the Triumph Bonneville, panniers and a picnic basket and rode to the south coast. We had plans to visit Dartmouth and Salcombe, but everywhere was so stunning, we didn’t make it because we kept getting distracted! We initially stopped off by a beautiful secluded spot on the River Avon- completely secluded and the clearest water possible. It was a completely unspoilt area and a great place to stop. I’ve included an exact location below. After that, we headed for Slapton Sands and Torcross Beach (essentially the same place) and parked up in a car park on the beach (the A379). It’s a huge stretch of white shingle beach that stretches off into the distance with clear water. It’s a brilliant day trip for motorcyclists and with the tiny country lanes, there’s no better mode of transport than on a motorbike!
