Breakfast in Camp and Tearing Up the Trails! Father/Daughter Camping and Riding Motorcycles, Part 2
Day 2 of our father/daughter camping and motorcycle riding adventure began with clearer skies and a wet tent. After some overnight rain storms, the weather cleared up enough for a relaxing morning around the campfire, complete with coffee (hot cocoa for her), bacon and eggs, and good company and conversation. After breakfast, it was time to do what we traveled over the mountain to the high desert to do: get out and hit the trails on our motorcycles. My daughter Lil' Dork received some excellent coaching from Kris, and then the whole group headed out for some motorcycle trail riding in the desert. It was amazing to watch my daughter's dirt bike riding skills progress so rapidly in one day. She was tearing up sandy trails, dodging cows, riding up to amazing scenic viewpoints, taking on technical rocky sections, and keeping up with the more experienced adult riders in our group with ease. She went from tentative to nearly fearless in one day of motorcycle trail riding, and I couldn't be more proud of her. My daughter is becoming quite the motorcycle rider! Nothing beats riding motorcycles and going camping with my daughter, and I enjoy these father daughter adventures so much. Thank you all for coming along for the ride!
