Work-life balance in NYC, daily life, going home for holidays

This is my first legit espresso machine. I think it's still pretty beginner-friendly, but it's definitely an upgrade from my previous espresso machine. I used to work at a couple coffee shops back in the day, and I loved it. So I'm gonna try to get back into making lattes. Today I'm shooting a video with a Vanity Fair writer. We've been doing a lot of social videos with our writers because they work on such interesting pieces, and we want to make videos about them. So I just set up this little social studio that we have, and he should be here soon. ♪♪ I got a new coffee grinder for my espresso machine. The grinder that I currently am using is not suitable for espresso. My sisters are actually chipping in for my new coffee gear, so I was able to kind of splurge on a nicer grinder. I'm gonna attempt to make an espresso shot very loosely. I'm just gonna use decaf beans because it's a bit late in the day. Tomorrow I'll use real beans. ♪♪ Look what I got. Mmm. Wow. Can't believe I made this at home. I'll definitely make it better tomorrow. I'm on my way to the office. Today's gonna be kind of an interesting day because we're working at the Gotham Awards tonight. So after work, we're all gonna walk over to the red carpet, and I'm gonna try to document as much as I can. It's so cold. A movie I still desperately need to see. Wicked, of course. Everyone's been talking about it. My mom's favorite movie of the year. The Last Showgirl. Actor that I'd most like to play my sibling. Mark Wahlberg because I'm as handsome as him. ♪♪ I've tried various situations since my brother's wedding. ♪♪ Okay, everyone go stand. Yay. Let's go. I'm flying back to California with my family. We're here at Newark Airport. I thought I would just spend a few days at home since it's the holidays. So I just thought it would be easier to just fly back with them. Today, I'm covering the Squid Game Season 2 red carpet. Since I'm in California, I just asked them if I could cover it. I binge-watched Season 1 on the plane, and I've just been preparing all morning, all week actually. So I'm really excited. I'm gonna go head over there early just in case there's traffic. So yeah, I'll try to vlog as much as I can. See you over there. ♪♪ Just waiting for the talent to arrive now. Nice to meet you. You made your Hollywood debut 15 years ago, and you're back promoting a Korean film. I think this is my first time walking red carpet with a Korean project. Right. I've never thought about it, but I just realized it. Today, I'm spending the day with my mom. We're just wandering around and shopping before she has to go to work. I'm going to my sister's performance. She's performing at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel at a candlelight concert. It's gonna be really beautiful. It's gonna take me 35 minutes to drive. It's been a while since I've driven a car, so I'm just gonna drive a bit slowly. I just saw the first show, and it was a Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings theme. It was so cool to see the music live in front of you, especially because I'm a huge Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings fan. I'm going to their second show, and they're playing Coldplay. ♪♪ Today's Christmas Eve, and I'm just walking over to Whole Foods because Kyle's parents are gonna come over and I just want to get some ingredients because I really want to try making a caviar service for them. ♪♪ What I'm looking for, because I've never really made a proper caviar board before, but I did look up some videos to see what I should get. I'm gonna get some creme fraiche and maybe some veggies. ♪♪ I'm trying so hard not to slip right now. It hasn't snowed like this in such a long time. It looks so pretty. It's like a winter wonderland. I love snow, especially because I grew up in California and never had snow. This is so nice. They're here, but it's a caviar board.
