Hello everyone, I hope you're doing well. This is Rassane from Mavois Canadian Immigration Made Easy.
Happy Thanksgiving if you're celebrating in Canada and in this video we're going to touch base on a
few important points that happened over the past few months. The first one is the travel ban on
India and Morocco. The second one is the rounds of invitation for the express entry during the
month of September and finally we're going to talk a little bit about the elections and their
impact on Canadian immigration. All right so let's get going. First one we see here is the
Government of Canada's website on the travel advisories. So for India we can see that the
last update was made on October 5th and the good news is that direct flights from India to Canada
have resumed. Now the travel ban has been lifted but it still means that you need to comply with
the requirements if you want to be accepted and on board the plane to Canada. Passengers eligible
to enter Canada and traveling on those flights must obtain a pre-departure negative COVID-19
molecular test result from this laboratory right here, perform this test within 18 hours before
their scheduled departure and present the test report with the QR code before boarding. You have
to meet these three requirements if you want to make sure they let you board the plane. So it's
really important to check this page before preparing your flight. I'm going to put all the
links in the description so you'll have access to them. For indirect flights you have other
restrictions we're going to cover everything here but you get the idea. So this is for India. Now
we're going to move to Morocco and for Morocco unfortunately the travel ban that was in place
in September has been extended to the 29th of October. You can see it here the Government of
Canada has suspended flights from Morocco until October 29th 2021 and we cannot know in advance
whether the ban will be extended. That depends on the COVID-19 situation in that country and those
are things that vary a lot. So the Government of Canada waits till the last minute to decide or not
if they're going to extend the ban. So that sums up the travel bans for Canada and Morocco. Let's
take a look now at the rounds of invitation for the month of September. We can see here that four
rounds of invitation happened. One for the Canadian Experience Class and three for the Provincial
Nominee Programs. You can see that comparatively to other rounds of invitation to other months
not many people got invited. We only have 2 000 people here for the Canadian Experience Class
and roughly 2 000 for the Provincial Nominee Program. In my opinion I have nothing to back it
up but I think that the immigration draws haven't been as big as they used to be because of the
federal election that took place in Canada. Recently a federal election happened in anticipation
where Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, as the press says, tried to push for a majority government
and today we have the result. We can see all this on the Globe and Mail who have done the work
and you can see here that the line of majority is at 170 seats and the Liberals are first but they
do not have the majority. So that means that they are coexisting in a minority parliament
with the Conservatives. Why I'm saying this is because each party has their manifesto that you
can check yourself and see what each party is saying about immigration. So we're going to see
here this website it's called Poltex and it's the courtesy of the University of Laval and under this
you can see electronic manifestos in Canada. So under party you select the party that you want
for example Liberal Party of Canada that's Justin Trudeau's party and here you have Liberal Party
of Canada the 2019 manifesto you have it in English and French and when you click on it
it will open all the promises that the Liberal Party has made in 2019 and their plan going
forward. The table of contents you're going to see the part about immigration and how it will affect
you as a future immigrant. You could do the same with other parties you just got to select the
different party and click on the manifesto and it will show up. So this is pretty much how Canadian
politicians are held accountable. They have a manifesto every few years and then they try to
deliver on it and then by the end of their term we do an assessment of what has been said versus
what has been done. I'm going to try to make it as clear and as simple as possible in the
description box below. If you have any questions feel free to enter them in the comments and if
