Unknown #cat in a #tree #rescue - Sidney, Ohio

This cat was spotted by a third story resident and birdwatcher, Jessie. Jessie saw this enormous loaf on the tree and called me to help maybe find a climber in her area. I was unable to find someone local, so up to Sidney I went. This cat had been up there over 24hrs before I could make it up to Sidney to give him a lift. Jessie is allergic to cats but wanted to do whatever it takes to help this big fella. She found a Sidney resident that was happy to take the cat in if I were able to get ahold of him.

This video captures the isolation and distant feeling of being at height in the dead of winter. The cold. The wind blowing. The stillness.
I am glad this big guy let me touch him. I don’t think he is completely feral, but I also don’t think he sees many petting hands.
