Trump Launches TrumpRx; FBI Offers $50,000 for Info on Nancy Guthrie | NTD Good Morning (Feb. 6)
President Trump announced the launch of TrumpRx.gov, a new website offering steeply discounted prices on several high-cost medications. Those include drugs for weight-loss, diabetes, fertility and respiratory ailments. The administration says Americans could see major savings. And the FDA is also pushing new efforts to boost U.S. drug manufacturing and cracking down on illegal copycat medications.
The search for 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, the daughter of NBC anchor Savannah Guthrie, is intensifying as authorities announce a $50,000 reward for information leading to her recovery. Investigators say ransom letters set deadlines, but no one has reached out directly. Authorities also arrested a man accused of sending fake ransom messages.
The State Department is urging all Americans to leave Iran immediately. The alert warns of flight disruptions and advises people to shelter in place if they cannot leave. The warning comes as U.S. and Iranian officials begin talks in Oman. It remains unclear what Iran is willing to negotiate beyond its nuclear program.
