Welcome children to the program "Discovering the Beauty of Traditional Culture Together"
Today join Teacher Thanh Nga’s class as we listen to the story of the Heart of Bi Gan
The bell signaled the start of the experiential learning session
Teacher Thanh Nga entered the classroom wearing a traditional Vietnamese áo dài
A gentle smile played on her lips
Today the classroom atmosphere seemed unusually solemn
The teacher gently opened the old book her expressive voice guiding the students
Traveling back through time to the distant North a thousand years ago
Where the young nation's hospital stands at the very forefront of transformation
She spoke of the early days when by relying on virtue and compassion
he built his empire bringing prosperity and peace to the people
Yet by the time of the declining king that monarch began to sink deeply into darkness
The king became obsessed with self-indulgence swayed by the corrupt advice of his
ministers neglected military affairs and inflicted brutal measures upon his people
When the image of the wise king faded into the earth
Now only a dark gloomy shadow looms over the capital at dusk
In the late afternoon of that day there was a royal uncle named Pi Can
He was a man of broad learning and great talent carrying the patriotic loyalty of his ancestors
in his veins witnessing the people's suffering Tì Can could not help but feel deep sorrow
He stood alone beneath the moonlight gazing toward the distant
opulent palace his heart resolute—If I don't speak who will
If we don't break apart where will this land fall into
Despite everyone's warnings about the danger to life
Tì Can decided to enter the palace to meet the sovereign The midday court was
solemn yet charged with menace He stood
tall halting his劝谏 with resolute honesty
He pointed out the king's errors and urgently pleaded
with him to return to the righteous path to save the people
The monarch upon hearing this turned crimson with suppressed
fury his hand clenching tightly around the dragon fruit
The monarch smirked his voice dripping with cruel tenderness
"I've heard the heart of a virtuous man has seven chambers "
Today I want to see with my own eyes whether the heart of Fang
Shu is truly as you say Tican
knows the final moment has arrived
But he felt no regret
He raised his head high his spirit soaring to the heavens
Better to die than betray his loyalty
But not without resolve watching the
nation suffer such hardship—Tì Can fell
in the most heroic moment in history his death stands as the final warning
For a dynasty already rotten with decay
The sovereign revels in his own brutality
Unaware that the hearts of his people have utterly turned away
Tikan's loyalty was not merely devotion
to the king but a noble sacrifice
To safeguard the justice and morality of a nation
Not long after the Martial King of Zhou
With the assistance of Jiang Ziya
The rebel's punishment was sealed by decree
The army of Zhou marched forward like a cascading waterfall
Welcomed enthusiastically by the people everywhere
The last monarch was forced to immolate himself in the blazing palace
Marking the end of a dark era
A new dynasty was established
Bringing peace and light to the art of
folk dancing—just as Tì Can's enduring
wish had intended Nga closed her book
her gaze sweeping across the classroom
Linh held her hand and asked "Teacher why did
Ti Can know he would die
yet still choose such a strange
courageous path " Nga smiled gently
Explain that in history Confucius once
mentioned the three men of the Shang dynasty—Wei
Zi Ji Zi and Bi Gan—each known for their
differing responses to the regime's decline
Some fled some feigned madness some accepted death—yet all were bound by one
word: humanity The true heart of Tì Can
was not blind obedience but compassion
Ms Nga continued
explaining to you: loyalty
to principle and the peace of the people
When a king acts against the people's interests a loyal person
will choose to uphold justice even
if it costs them their own life
That is the most profound meaning behind
the word "humanity" that our ancestors
wished to pass down to us Class is over but the story of Tikan's heart continues
The memory continues to resonate deeply
within their hearts they understand that
no matter the era honesty and the courage
to uphold what is right endure forever
And human compassion
remains the highest and most precious value
Nga watched the children as they ran off to play
Deep within quietly joyful that seeds of virtue
Have begun to sprout quietly in the hearts of the younger generation
And so the story comes to an end
See you again in the next story kids
