In Stockholm there is a demonstration against Russia's invasion of Ukraine
Today marks almost four years since Russia began its invasion of Ukraine
And on site are speakers such as Migration Minister Johan Forssell who shares his thoughts
How Sweden supports Ukrainian refugees in Sweden and how Sweden aids Ukraine through humanitarian assistance and weapons
It has now been nearly four years since Russia's full-scale and illegal invasion of Ukraine
And their offensive war continues and it must end And
there is only one way to bring it to an end they say
It's about Russia withdrawing and leaving Ukraine in
peace and so that Ukraine can determine its own future
What is Sweden's government doing for Ukraine now
We do a great deal Ukraine is a major recipient of Sweden's aid
But the most important thing is that we're actually sending a
huge amount of weapons to Ukraine so they can defend themselves
But it's also about our freedom and security in Europe's future
As the minister for migration we are also presenting the legislation to assist the many Ukrainians
There are tens of thousands of Ukrainians actually living in Sweden today
For instance the ability to stay in Sweden if one chooses to
Behind you is Russia's embassy
What are your thoughts on Russia's actions
That's an appalling act Naturally
it's extremely damaging for Ukraine
All those who have had to sacrifice their lives
But this is no future for Russia either
As a country with such vast potential if only
it used its resources for something sensible
Instead of invading their neighboring countries in this manner
It's truly heartbreaking
But there's only one thing to do
Yes it's about offering strong resistance to Russia's invasion
so it doesn't succeed and doesn't spread to other countries
That's what matters most to us right now
