Gardeners, let's rescue succulents grown from seed. With each of these beauties, our collection will grow.
We're creating new beauties for our collection; we hope to see their true colors and shapes after this transplant.
Ninth video in this Succulent Marathon yes gardeners we're just about to finish
This challenge In today's video we'rescuing some seedlings from the seedbeds we've been working on
A few months back I'm Dani Aparicio and we're at Jardineando Jardineros
What do you say we get started right away
So gardeners let's dive into another delicious experience as you've just heard
We're going to rescue those seedlings we've been nurturing from seed for a while now I think
I told them a few months ago I'm not lying—gardeners I think it's been over a year and a half now These
small seedlings went through one hardship after another just as they were beginning to grow
Germinating they were tiny succulents and we had to leave the space where they were
adapted to develop What happened to that Well some gardeners died not just some
ey died in large numbers because the space remember had poor sun exposure
approximately five months Gardeners found this made seedling production extremely difficult I tried
doing all I could to salvage as much as possible but sometimes the efforts
They were in vain Yet despite all those circumstances the most warlike ones emerged victorious
Go ahead and these are the ones we have here—just gardeners as they're just getting started
We’ll have to relocate once more to adapt to space but this time
Thank goodness we moved to our lovely villa So little gardeners I think we
Those little plants those succulents deserve a new space—they deserve to be transplanted and
We're going to do that work So let's keep going my little gardeners with this marathon
succulent It's practically the ninth one and we're almost done with this challenge we set for ourselves
Ten consecutive videos so gardening has been quite laborious and hectic
us but as always I tell them with quite a great satisfaction In the end
Each day I see the work I notice how the succulents look better and better how the spaces
They look more organized and that gives me the satisfaction of continuing to work as gardeners
So now you know we're focusing on sectors that need us most We're working
with succulents that urgently need repotting relocating and so on and so forth And
Having observed each of these small garden areas we will now restore them
seedlings that we began cultivating some time ago have proven quite challenging for them
because they had two relocations—the first when they were still very small shoots
And that place we took them to really had a strong impact on them Remember that house was
a place that didn't have good sun exposure for about five months so that's why
Gardeners well once they've adjusted what do you think gardeners Once again we
We have to move but this time to our own place to our lovely villa So gardeners they
They have responded positively in this space I believe it's time to rescue them Look where
We had located them in this part of the garden Not all of them survived There's one or two still lingering there
Well holding on to life with everything they've got I think little gardeners we're going to have to do something about it
em We'll place them in new pots with fresh soil and position them in a new location
Better lit for them to thrive We're already here so let's begin this journey
oday Look how perfectly the planters are arranged No no Definitely not
The trays we bought at one of the Muna and Tika editions are quite functional
They help us greatly with transplanting rooting succulents and in this case making cuttings
Where and how did we get it Well we obtained it through gardeners with Suku Esther Thus
It's called the venture I'm saying it again Suku Esther from our esteemed
Esthercita Gardeners she ships throughout Peru Whatever quantity you'd like I don't know
one two ten twenty fifty one hundred two hundred she ships gardeners Obviously the
Prices will vary depending on quantity—smaller amounts are less favorable for gardeners while larger quantities work better for them
maybe being a group and ordering together results in a fairly large batch that ends up being more economical for them We think
We asked for 30 or 50 trays between two people and it turned out quite convenient so
Gardeners take advantage of Suku Esther These trays are highly practical A good number have already come in
planters about fifty-four or so that we have here for the transplanting So
I think I'll leave this here for a bit or maybe over here Hope the gardeners don't take it
because that's where Paki and Antares are Look here I think we'll go with this one Look at poor little gardeners
Honestly sometimes I see this and feel a bit guilty about everything they had Look
for instance this one was already flipped over Who did that Who do you think gardeners Paki and Antares I think
I'm bringing a small tray to organize everything and create the rhythm Look gardeners we already have it
Here's the little tray I've already taken out a few and in this way it's just like this—take a look for example
No this is a flower There are many We'd already done this one as a little flourish We're not going to move much
s root system is to avoid stressing each of these little plants any further I was telling them that we'd already
at was done earlier the rattle Dani but why didn't they react positively The thing is
at gardeners as I tell you the instant we sound the alarm we must immediately
be changing back here again so the plants already adapted had
A rather abrupt shock to this space unprepared for such a jolt Oh gardeners if only you knew
when although I did share it with them when we moved everything was piled up the
The house wasn't finished Oh no gardeners succulents everywhere and worst of all that
It's the rainy season Many of the succulents got soaked like these little ones
Look at this little gem—those colors the gardeners What beauty I can't even remember now which ones are which what seeds they are
well all we're going to do is see how they develop and examine their characteristics
How nice gardeners Some of them are already quite large This one for example is already
a good root system Let's check this one Wow this one has definitely taken root well so we're in good shape
Covering it Okay I think that’s all Anyway a thorough check No nothing else remains
Gardeners Okay let's move on to another tray We also have plenty here Most of them are agaves
Remember little gardeners that I absolutely love the subject of agaves I adore propagating agaves from
seed We've already been doing this activity for quite some time several years now If you ask me around there
And tell me Dani but where are those agavoides So many so many that you've propagated and shared
In experiences Gardeners remember we didn't have the space I couldn't keep them all
The seedbeds so we offered and sold many of them and it helped us out
ank you so much gardeners you helped us tremendously with some expenses we had especially during the move
the care and creation of gardens oh gardeners it was truly an art
A troublemaker and a silver faucet to regulate someone else's space Oh no now truly thank God
Well we have our little spot our Villa Lindura Oh gardeners every night I see my little house
Hug to my home hug every little corner of this lovely village that is ours From here gardeners
so no one's getting us out and that's fine—I'm incredibly grateful gardeners truly grateful to our
All-powerful Oh my God there are quite a few I said there might be around ten but no—gardeners I don’t even know how many now
I pulled it out It's just that since they're so small look for example here's one super tiny one Look
a small one that's barely surviving there the conditions weren't favorable for them either
right So now gardeners let's give them those conditions so that they can
develop And later in about two to three months some of these babies will have developed
We're currently working on them we'll put them up for offer And as for the gardeners we'll only keep a few
just like the Santa Arbonis because now I’m truly going to start spreading these agavoides once more
seed And now let's see gardeners what comes out Look at this beauty So lovely A real gem
from the agave family Very very beautiful So gardeners okay I think we should start with those
so the sun doesn't damage the root system I'll take a look Look here for example this one had
Rotten And many like this have rotted too Here look it says Ebony and Mexican Giant But gardeners
Remember that some of us have already been through this so naturally we're already thoroughly confused I have
Here are the spaces Now then gardeners I'm going to fill it with growing medium I think I need a
smaller one so it fits here This shape Oh no How practical gardeners
The little pots fit perfectly The stick we have is just right You can't imagine how helpful it is
Gardeners working like this truly delights me I'm so delighted to have ample space
The tools for working Oh gardeners What else Something I need to mention to you
Here I think I'll stop because this is something truly truly important What do you all think gardeners Already
We have the tickets to the Dominican Republic Thank God we managed to get them We're off to
be there starting July 28 We stayed for a week And there talking with the perso
We'll be there Carmen tells me reaching out to followers in the Dominican Republic If
ey might want us to get together one day to share some delicious experiences so I'm going to
leave it down here at the front of Carmen Martarten's place And she'll surely take care of organizing it
loud gatherings It won't be long now before we're there in the Dominican Republic With that
we're going to keep going I'm super excited to see these little ones react and start watching
Well the characteristics that each of these little succulents has That's how it works
Another thing gardeners the third edition of Valle is just around the corner too
From the Hummingbirds in Arequipa White City We're also keeping our hopes high Super
excited to be back in Arequipa once again So to all the gardeners
well from Arequipa you know everyone is warmly invited to spend a few days
succulent experience The venue as you know is new It won't be in the same space anymore
e two editions It was quite small at first but has grown with gardeners and the increasing number of collectors
who come to this event And so Guillermo concerned about the matter managed to secure a
e place where future editions will be held so gardeners see you there
out there in Arequipa We're also going to participate as a bidder so we'll be bringing along
Some of our collection okay I think we'll stop here We'll do the little taps to make it
Adjust the substrate I can't believe it gardeners that I'm getting the pleasure of planting each one myself
One of these little ones in its individual pot Okay okay Perfect Let's start with the first one
Check out this beauty You're going to grow beyond your wildest dreams my little cutie You know it well
you won't believe how this little trick will blow your mind gardeners—just wait and see
react And the nice thing about working with these trays is that we don't have to worry abou
The irrigation We'll give them just one watering I'll cover them a bit gardeners you'll excuse me And well
They'll hydrate themselves so I think we should ask Estercita for a few more
Because gardeners those trays you sent us are already too small for all our plants
Look at how this beauty turned out Very very pretty Let's move on to another little one I think
I'm going to continue filling this out this way There's something else gardeners that I wanted to mention Last nig
There was an earthquake that shook the house in a way they couldn’t imagine Paqui and Antares were playing there
As if fighting he was tossing his stuffed animals around when suddenly the gardeners shook the house
It seemed pretty funny to me They looked at me utterly confused about where to run but since I was right there
Well they just looked at me like what do we do now No gardeners were scared
a little but well it didn't amount to much in the end Look gardeners this is how it is
Planting these little agave plants You'll see how they react soon—they'll respond in a 2x3 pattern
This one has been positioned more effectively Those with limited root systems
These are settling in better as they're easier to manage and position—gardeners find them simpler to place
So we're doing that activity gardeners Poor things really how they've
survived these little ones Oh no no For everything we've been through with my succulents
And us gardeners too Lucky it didn’t get away Look there’s a baby here This little agave plant
small one gave birth to a little baby Gardeners just look—these agave plants should already have
They weren't huge at all but rather given all the difficulties we faced they somehow seemed dwarfed
So I think after this they'll finally start giving it some fertilizer Oh gardeners
I'm in an uncomfortable position but we're moving forward fearlessly toward success Look at how they've turned out
There are many gardeners This tray is going to be way too small for us I'll try to move forward
That's it we're connected now Take a look at how things turned out Oh gardeners I said well
There are about ten but there's much more Look they've almost completely filled the tray up to here Up to here
We have so many beautiful little agave plants gardeners They're absolutely adorable Look at some of them just look—some of them
Some are quite large others not so much—say like this one here or this one A tip and a
It's a very important tip gardeners when we do the repotting of the agave plants Always
They must be submerged in the substrate not placed on top of it Previously I had the
It seemed to be emerging from the substrate in other words the little rosette was showing up What was going on gardeners They were struggling
A lot of this is planted this way tucked in a bit So that's how I do it
Well the agavoidito is secure and will develop favorably Oh gardeners
I'm truly so happy that despite all the difficulties went through
During this period of constant moving we have thus been able to salvage this entire amount of
agavoides So I think I'll set this aside for a moment here and we'll take it off
These little ones are here I'm telling you gardeners—yes we haven't touched them Never
We've replanted them They're in the same spot where the seeds germinated I'm going to remove them now
This is so my drill can reach farther Look how these agavoides despite being gardeners
They've been in the shade and they're looking really beautiful now They're already quite large I suppose
Wow look at the root system Let's talk about the pre-mix I used to germinate these agaves
What is premix Well gardeners it's a sterilized growing medium that they process
Exactly for those purposes being quite favorable when we establish seedbeds
At first it works gardeners but then it starts to tighten and no longer serves its purpose
o the the little succulents So gardeners well keep that in mind when you're doing this kind of thing
germination with premix I don't know what they are gardeners but they'really beautiful Look here
For example this one I think they're seeds from Anoushka or Beverly because they have something similar there
Right They're so pretty Here like this gardeners Like this I don't know what I'm doing there trying to
fit into a small space Oh no look at this lovely garden gardeners It's absolutely beautiful There are tiny ones
Also check this out—super small So look this is what happens with the premix
It starts to compress and prevents those tiny ones from developing properly Then
Now that we're doing the transplant Oh look here's a little one It was right here
Clinging to the other to his little brother who had now become his nursemaid Then
Gardeners we're going to proceed with great care There might be some buried around here Oh no
What a pity Look at this one I think we did save it but I'll have to put this one aside
In a small glass vial The tiniest ones in a glass vial so they can react
I don’t want to lose a single one anymore gardeners Look for instance at this one—see how tightly packed it had become
Another thing I've noticed with this premix gardeners is how we delay opening the toter bins where
We sowed the seeds and soon the area began to fill with moss Dani why is this happening Well remember
gardeners which is conut fiber So during the process of conut fiber breaking down
Well it grows quite a bit of moss so no no gardeners— it has to be at the right time
Opening the seedlings transplanting repotting—look at this beauty Despite them not having
exposed to sunlight I can't even imagine the pigments that are going to develop gardeners—these
Beauty when they start developing their new little homes—oh look at this beauty
She's so beautiful So so lovely This one here What madness gardeners then
Let's take a look Gardeners just see how many have died already—already quite a few Oh
Gardeners honestly I see this and I think why did I even get involved in spreading this Why must they suffer so much
Miren despite being completely rotten is coming back to life there Oh what beauty
These little ones have definitely been super warriors—so so warrior-like gardeners
It's also very pretty It has a lilac color There's some resemblance to this one uh
What's its name The one I'd see from Pulidonis Well it's also been referred to that way around there
A little bit of Pulidonis little gardeners Let's keep going with this I don't know what else to tell you
I meant to say gardeners I don't know what else I wanted to tell them Oh right don't forget the
rifa On July 13 we'll be live-streaming from my Facebook page
There's something else gardeners There's one a follower of hers who lives in the United States
a Bolivian woman who now lives in the United States She writes to me and says Dani I want to participate
The raffle And I tell him no it's only for Peru There would be no way to send them
succulents from the United States And she tells me don't worry Dani that when I go to Cusco I'll bring it
I'll bring it myself Oh gardeners I heard it as if it were well I'm coming right around here and I'll take it
e succulent And gardeners well he says to me how can I send you the money And I tell him
Well this I think it's just a transfer since I work at the agency And they tell me no
How about I give you a little AIPE Oh gardeners I'm truly surprised How on earth did that happen
How does that U S IAPE app work And me IAPEO gardeners
You won’t believe it but within five minutes the money was already in my account It’s incredible truly
The technology we're using today right So I learned something new
By the time I sell my tour packages I can tell them to issue me an IAPE
Miren gardeners how is it that this little leaf was getting zancochado but there it is
Resisting I'm not going touch it or if I do take it out then I'll remove it completely but there's a little rosette here
y but I'm not going to mess with it If I remove these dry leaves gardeners
We're going to mess with that little rosette So I'll leave it just like this exactly as it is
In this tray they noticed there were already several quite large ones
So I think we'll plant it in slightly larger pots
How lovely gardeners isn't it That despite everything we still have a few of these after all
Some succulents the result of our hard work Look there's one here too but I'm not going to take it out
ose dry leaves What happens if I remove gardeners those dry leaves I'll harvest the tiny
e rosette that's trying to come back to life there So we'll plant it like this Once the rosette has already
Since it's getting quite large we'll remove those leaves So gardeners always be careful
with great care Working tirelessly yet with boundless energy gardeners who never stop
I imagine it I wake up super early do the household chores and head out right away
garden to carry out the work for indeed gardeners every task I do here is always done with thought
This is my home my home Sometimes I even ask myself gardeners could this be a dream I'm living
We still haven't fully grasped that we're home just you and me gardeners
Those who have gone through these experiences these situations I
know they’ll understand me I know they’ll understand how we feel right
We're going to remove the leaves because well the rosette is already here—look there's a little leaf
I thought it was a baby It's just a tiny leaf gardeners just a tiny leaf Look here The rosette has rotted away
It's rising again What a warrior what a warrior gardeners But we're already here for
Save her This one if I don't think she'll shed the leaves gardeners I don't want to pick that little rosette apart
Alright we're all done so I'll bring some larger pots for the rosettes
They're already quite large while the others are tiny—let's finish this part here
Stops to grab a little water it's tiring it's exhausting even if you don't believe it gardeners
But as I tell you here gardeners the body grows weary while the soul finds rest
Look at what we've accomplished We've already planted in each of these pots an approximate
over 50 succulents most of which are agave hybrids or crosses between agaves since
Gardeners this is going to be chaos when they start coming to life and taking shape They're extremely
Beautiful ones There are super tiny ones little babies How lovely gardeners We were surprised by the quantity
at we've reaped from the agavoide plants Speaking with Midrit about it yes it surprised us
So we thought there were only about ten but no—there are far more gardeners than that
And in the agave greenhouse we also have a few trays but I think we'll
save that for later since the afternoon is already catching up with us Look
I'll leave this here and over here I have these pots to plant these larger ones
Well the camera that focuses here where we have our substrate This substrate
You know gardeners it's working perfectly for us so I'll just add a little bit
Grab the agavoidito and carefully fill it as I go In this way we turn and fill it
substrate The goal gardeners is to avoid staining our agave-like plant Always keep this in mind
and emphasizing this because gardeners I hate getting dirt on my succulents It's a
Double work that's done right If we do it abruptly Look it's already sown
our little agave darling Oh gardeners what a crazy cutie among succulents Alright let's move on to another one
Absolutely stunning agave I don't know gardeners how they manage to pigment it Now let's get started
a fairly strategic location that receives higher solar intensity They have been positioned
as you've noticed beneath the platforms it doesn't get much sunlight but despite that
Well they have some rather fascinating pigments How lovely gardeners
Beautiful beautiful our little agave plants Okay there we have one Let's move on to another one These pots
Perfects gardeners for carrying out these transplants or repottings There's the fly that's driving me crazy
Yes gardeners where isn’t there a fly Let’s continue with today’s task then
Gardeners What could I have dreamed last night to inspire such a lovely activity So lovely
quite relaxing very satisfying gardeners Despite everything we've been through in this
last year gardeners do you remember when we first arrived at this place I
I made them a video showing the land and what it was like—there were so many emotions we cried so much
We laughed so hard we also worried intensely—oh gardeners a whirlwind of emotions
and the feelings we experience in building our little home and of course in acquiring it
The land But how did everything happen so quickly Now we're here at our villa
By the way gardeners last night as I was reflecting on the activities I do reading your
comments there's someone I no longer feel in the experiences Félix who placed the
ame to our village of beauty So what will become of Félix Félix my friend if you're watching this video
friend report in because did you see gardeners the people who frequently update us
It's as if I've grown accustomed to you all—you've become part of my life and whenever I notice your absence it feels like a void
I'm a little worried about one of you I mean what could possibly be going on What might have happened
What about later Will it be okay I don't know gardeners so many thoughts are rushing into my head right now So
Félix my friend report in little buddy We really miss you So gardeners
We don’t forget so we always keep every comment you leave us
Always present Thank you so much for that gardeners Thank you for existing thank you for
be on the other side of the screen thank you for being with us in every one of our projects
Thank you so much my little gardeners Okay perfect Let's move on to the next one Here we go Remember gardeners
We are not cutting root systems they are babies and
need them to keep developing Moreover we have carefully removed each one
Perfect we're done We're finished gardeners and we have new plants I'll try to
Clean up this entire space and I'll show you how each of these beauties was made
We wrapped up another day of quite quite favorable conditions Gardeners well really not at all
I am profoundly grateful to our creator to the universe and to Pachamama who made it possible
Well gardeners making so many agave plants thrive despite all the challenges Just look at how it is
ow each of these beauties has taken root in its own designated space Very
so beautiful And what I love about this tray gardeners what I love about this tray is
at hydration is effortless Let's hydrate these aloe plants without fear
These juicy little cuties and the water won't go to waste At this stage of growth
These succulents need a lot of water so gardeners this tray is going to help us
enormously Moreover it gives her peace of mind knowing she isn't constantly moving her succulents from one spot to another
another one that helps us organize things more easily If I need to clean I just lift it up
Only gardeners and cleaners So no no the trays are quite functional
Recommended And here take a look we've planted the largest ones in slightly bigger pots
You gardeners will soon start encouraging the growth after this transplant
When are we going to water these succulents Well gardeners these beauties being so small
We'll be watering in no more than two days gardeners I'd like to water it right now
but it's better we wait Anyway we've already disturbed some of the root system threads
Each of these beauties doesn't need much time gardeners When succulents are
Babies are quite quite resilient very resilient So one or two days is fine
ydrating these beauties And what else The location gardeners Let's make a change Remember
These beauties have been hidden beneath the platforms—now they're going to take center stage So the spotlig
Solar will be a bit more intense Let's see what colors these beauties are going to take on
I'll be sharing this with you So my little gardeners let's pause here for now As
Always endlessly and from the bottom of my heart thank each and every one of you who are with us
In this challenge We'd only need one more to wrap it up perfectly I'll do my best to
prepare something special To those who've just arrived I invite you to subscribe to my channel channel
where I share experiences like the ones you've just seen With all this Oh No gardeners I'm about to
forgetting something Before you ask me how I made the seedbeds how we matured the seeds
ow we carried out the germination how we prepared the germination beds—everything I've shared Go ahead
As mentioned in the previous videos gardeners Each of those videos has easily searchable titles
And there it is—everything you need With all this from
our lovely villa in Cusco Peru to your next adventure Bye bye
