A massive boulder sitting alone in the desert — nothing about it looked special at first. But something felt off. When I got closer, I realized it wasn’t just a rock.
Hidden underneath the boulder was a secret room, sealed in stone, with artifacts scattered everywhere. Broken pottery. Stacked stone walls. A doorway so low you have to crawl inside.

Wow this is exciting, so there's the watchtower, there's another one, but this is wild.
There's a secret room under this giant megalithic rock.
Look how massive these things are.
Sure they got to have petroglyphs, but look at this, a really, really cool room, dug right...
Wow!
Wow, I have never seen this before, a natural home built under this giant megalithic rock.
Look how big they are, they're like 1,000 ton rocks.
Dang, that is so sweet.
I'm gonna go around to the other side, we can take a look on the very inside.
This was definitely a fort.
Here's a beautiful, beautiful sleeping spot.
There's warriors right here sleeping, isn't that wild?
I've never, ever seen this, taken advantage of this huge, huge rock.
It's really quite nice in here.
Thought for sure there'd be petroglyphs inside of the rock.
The ceiling kind of looks like a snake head there, not seeing anything else.
I think it's mostly just a fort, I wonder if there's any hidden pots.
This is absolutely amazing you guys.
Look how big this giant rock shelter is, I would love to camp in here.
Don't see any petroglyphs, but there's probably some on the outside of this stone.
Crazy amazing place, there's all kinds of hiding spots.
There's this giant rock shelter as well.
This is almost bigger, it's huge.
I'm surprised they didn't just build a wall to connect them all.
Have this giant solid structure, giant megalithic rocks.
I thought for sure it would be covered in pictographs or glyphs, probably not.
Giant stone building.
There is, this whole hillside is coated with ancient pottery.
Look at that beautiful, beautiful paint job.
This whole hillside, and there's old stone tools.
This stuff looks absolutely ancient.
That's just all over, every kind of pottery.
I think there was a major building up here that just all got washed down.
I just found two huge pieces.
There could have been a full pottery bowl right here.
That just shattered, like all down this hill, there's pieces of it.
Unfortunately, the floods will just keep grinding them until they're completely gone.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, my goodness, it must have been a full bowl.
I've never found one with a hole drilled in it.
Whoa, there's other pieces of it.
I think there was like a full bowl.
Whoa, and it was all just right here.
I've never, ever seen a piece.
It's a beautiful hole.
Yeah, that's the ancient rock shelter, that tower room.
This is crazy, there was definitely a whole city up there.
Check this out, piece of pottery here.
And a piece of an arrowhead here, broken arrowhead.
Maybe that's from a war, that is a crazy cool find.
Right by a piece of pottery, wow, it's just all over.
Definitely a big building up here, everything got kicked up.
So I just picked up this, and in front of me is the biggest artifact here.
This is their grinding stone.
It was perfectly cut, rubbed, rubbed smooth, that is crazy.
Look at that, a little, what do you call that, little scorpion.
That is absolutely cool, a big grinding stone.
Imagine packing this all over the mountains.
Look how well it's made, that is cool.
I did find the mono, I think it's called, the piece they use with that.
This is absolutely amazing guys, this is the other grinding stone.
You can see it's concave right here.
That is wild, everything to this site is still here.
I want to show you, yeah they're so heavy, but you can tell how it was concaved.
See that, it's nice and smooth.
And I actually found the stone they use, it's made out of the same stuff.
So they would use this right there.
And the other one, where was that?
Yeah it's right here, perfectly made, ground on the sides.
They always use something stronger than the sandstone would have tried to.
That is cool.
This was an abandoned city.
This is crazy you guys.
So I just found this beautiful piece, that is really cool.
But there is another grinding stone.
I'm gonna put these right by the rock, so that the next flood, look at that, beautifully concave.
I'm gonna put it right here, so the next flood won't wash it.
Look at that, it's curved.
So the next flood won't wash it and destroy it.
More pottery.
This is sad, it's right on a flood zone.
So all this is going to be demolished in a couple short years.
Pottery is everywhere.
So without a doubt they were living up there.
I just spotted some sort of beautiful purple stone.
It was definitely used as an axe or something.
Now both sides broke off.
Yeah you can still see that it's smooth there.
So they were still using that as a hammer.
It's a beautiful hammer stone that was probably an axe and then repurposed.
See that, how they shaped it.
So it would have sat like this with string around it.
That is an amazing find.
Just found another amazing little hammer stone.
You can see how extremely used it was.
That is what they used for making their arrowheads.
It's so extremely used.
They would always use a harder stone than sandstone.
So there is so many artifacts here, just everywhere.
It's hard to not.
Yeah they're just all over.
