On 21st September, I completed the Rupin Pass trek in alpine style with my friends—raw, challenging, and deeply rewarding.
The trail transitions from remote villages and forests to high-altitude alpine terrain, with the Upper Waterfall section and steep Rupin Gully being the most demanding. Cold winds, loose rocks, and exposed climbs make every step count.
Reaching the pass is a defining moment—behind lies the lush Rupin Valley, and ahead opens the dramatic Sangla Valley of Kinnaur.
