What's going on people? We are Tottenham TV back here for the second live stream of the day and
we have an official announcement from Tottenham Hotspur to bring you today. Something which I
didn't think was possible even just a few hours ago last night. Something which I definitely
thought was beyond all realms of possibility at the beginning of this window. He was all set to
join Chelsea. Personal terms agreed since the beginning of the window but he's here. He's
beautiful. He answered the call. His name is Javi Simons. Talk to me Sim. When Frank calls you answer.
That is what Simons is saying. Simons says when Tottenham call you answer. Unbelievable. I'm
absolutely buzzing. I'm quite even before the announcement was made there was still a bit of me
even though we had the here we go we've had the Ornstein bombers we've had everything even beyond
all that just before the answer I'm like it's been a few hours not heard anything when this
announcement I need to know he's a Tottenham player until he's holding the shirt I can't go
overboard but here he is in this beautiful blue and white well we got announced the black kid
we'll get into that unbelievable signing it's an unbelievable coup for Tottenham Hotspur
incredible incredible move making moves in this window getting in the quality of Javi Simons is
something that would have been not be it would have been beyond our wildest dreams at the beginning
of the window he is a player of true world-class ability I'm so excited we got him for his peak
years signing a long-term contract and we've gazumped Chelsea to the deal it just couldn't
be much better it's one of those deals that is too good to be true exactly one of those deals in
the mud but look they've got a very good replacement they got born in a tail loan
so you can't count them out but look I'm just gassed man I'm absolutely gassed but let's go
and have a look at the official announcement this is how it was all announced just a few moments ago
so this was it 18 minutes ago Spurs tweeted this a nice silhouette of a certain someone
just with that waiting for the call just like batman
and then this video came out saying Tottenham called
and he answered this was a good video oh that black kit is so cold though I love that black
absolutely unbelievable looks so good on him and there he is in the white as well
and he said it's all just noise the most important thing is
when Tottenham called I answered come on come on brilliant a lot of that celebration is going to
be iconic we needed an iconic celebration to replace the sonny to replace that we needed
something and we've got one absolutely we've got one and if you scroll up this is um the
announcement just yeah go to that one uh he's ours we're delighted to announce the signing of
Javi Simons from RB Leipzig on a long-term contract if we can click in to that this is
the official announcement on the website we are delighted to announce the signing of Javi Simons
from RB Leipzig subject to international clearance and work permit which obviously suggests he won't
be able to play this weekend the 22 year old Netherlands international was signed on a long-term
contract with the club and will wear the number seven shirt Javi said I'm really happy and can't
wait to get going I've been dreaming of this for a long time it's a great club and when I met the
head coach I knew straight away that this was the right place for me I'll bring flair to the team
but also hard work and discipline I want to do everything I can to win for the team and also for
the fans and Thomas Frank said I'm really pleased we've brought Javi in he's a great addition to the
squad he's still young however he already has a good experience and over the past few years has
played a lot of games at the top level Javi has proven his ability to get goals and assists from
both the number 10 and the left wing he's also a great eye for his teammates in terms of unlocking
defenses and I know he will come in and be a big part of be a part of a good team that is already
working hard together a young but proven attacker who can operate centrally or on the wing Javi's
early footballing days were spent with Spanish side club Deportivo Fader before continuing his
development in the illustrious academies of Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain making his
first professional appearance at the latter stepping off the bench away at SM Cannes at the
age of just 17 year old in the French Cup tie it was in Paris where he first tasted silverware
helping the Parisians to both the French Cup and the Ligue 1 title in the first two seasons in men's
football Javi's breakthrough season came in 22-23 as he returned to his homeland of the Netherlands
and starred for PSV Eindhoven making the perfect start to life at Eindhoven with a goal on his debut
as PSV lifted the Dutch Super Cup then at 19 he went on to be named as talent of the
season after finishing as the Eredivisie top goal scorer with 19 goals he also helped claim the
side Dutch club in April 2023 the player with an eye for a pass and an eye for a goal his stunning
campaign in his homeland prompting PSG to re-sign him in the summer of 2023 but a loan to RB Leipzig
soon followed as did more silverware with the Dutchman helping Leipzig to the 23-24 German
Super Cup on his debut another impressive term followed for the midfielder as he contributed to
25 goals across all competitions while he also earned himself a place in the VDB Bundesliga
team of the season on the international stage his senior debut for the Netherlands came at the 22
World Cup in Qatar coming off the bench in the round of 16 clash with the USA he became the
youngest ever player to feature for his country in the knockout stages of the competition
part of the Dutch side that reached the last four at the Euros in 2024 and he has a total of 28
international caps to date scoring on five occasions um so yeah unbelievable stuff and in
terms of that frank saying number 10 and on the left wing as well um and he's definitely
pulled into action on both on both positions obviously initially he will only be a 10 because
of um down in numbers in that department but it's going to be interesting when that time comes when
Decky comes back when Madison comes back later on where he's going to be deployed yeah well just like
I you know I don't want to bring his name up just like we were saying you know when when we were
going as a there'll be some games that we play left wing and like man city away in those kind of
transitional games and I'm sure Simons will be the same thing he'll play in different roles and
maybe there'll be some games against a low block maybe he'll be he could be used on the left to
find a bit more space um in those kind of games it's possible he's very versatile can play across
that front line so extremely great qualities to have very interesting his uh kind of quotes saying
as soon as I spoke to Thomas Frank you know I knew that was it was the exact quote he said as
soon as I spoke to Thomas Frank I knew this is where I wanted to be yeah something to that effect
yeah he said um I met the head coach I knew straight away that this was the right place for me
and that's maybe what got this deal done so quickly because you uh you know it's no coincidence
we went for it yesterday we had the bid yesterday and it seemed to happen all very very quickly
and this was just off the back of uh not long ago a few weeks ago we would uh apparently we
inquired about him and he said he only wanted Chelsea so things have changed very quickly
obviously Chelsea stumbled they stalled on the deal we've pounced but we've it's just one there's
one thing pouncing but he's not just going to go to anyone just because Chelsea's stolen we had to
convince him of our project and the fact that we've convinced him um that to commit his long-term
future here this is a player who not long ago who's right now sorry is seen as one of the best
up-and-coming forwards in Europe um has had a wonderful uh last three years uh a Leipzig and
PSV um has is you know as a child prodigy growing up has been much talked about and it is a player
who's fulfilling that potential imagine you know 13 14 15 being talked about as much as he has yet
you know the pressure that puts on them how many stars at that age you know you've seen and they
burn out or they don't quite make it they don't quite fulfill his potential he's clearly got a
very strong head and his shoulders to go for all of that and Tottenham have been able to convince him
that this is the right place for him right now that this is the right project for him right now
I think we've done an amazing job to get him over the line and to um to sign him up wearing the
number seven shirt the iconic number seven replacing Sonny um incredible obviously it's
going to take big shoes to fill but I think he's capable of it I really do yeah you know what um
just before I make a comment on that if you just go back to Spurs's twitter for a second they've
got a picture of him of his name and number so he's not going to have Simons on there he's just
going to have Javi number seven and that just looks unbelievable look at that Javi number seven
and when Son left we all said it's going to have to take a very special player or a special talent
to next take the seven shirt and I was saying at the time you know I think we should probably just
leave it clear for a season and and see what happens in the future um who can kind of bear
the weight of that number seven but I think this is I think we found the right guy yeah I really do
think we found the right guy supreme ability uh world-class talent up-and-coming player but player
that has all the talent uh to do it now for us on the big stage in the champions league where he's
done it before premier league obviously is a new test for him but I think it's only fitting that he
takes the number seven shirt and I'm delighted that he's got the number seven I'm just delighted
and coming um at a similar age as Son came to Spurs as well but coming from the Bundesliga
but probably coming with a different kind of profile I think Son was known as a good player
like but wasn't of you know he's played well for Leverkusen but wasn't seen as a star this guy is
he's a star he's a star for his national team he was a star in the Bundesliga as was previously
mentioned I didn't even realize he got golden boot in Eredivisie which is very 19 which is as an
attacking midfielder very impressive and got into Bundesliga team of the year as well already at
such a young age um he is a star in the making and I think being in the premier league raising
his profile is only going to make him go from strength to strength I think honestly I can't I
don't think we could assign someone more exciting I think it was Juan Eze look there are great
players they would have been exciting in their own right but I actually think the excitement level
for him is another level I really believe that I think his ceiling is higher than the guys we
were talking about and I think his quality um his ability in and around the penalty area uh I think
it's going to shock a lot of people who maybe aren't as familiar with him as they are with
Eze and Gibbs-White because they're obviously premier league known and proven I think this guy
is going to show a lot of people how good he is and it won't be long in my opinion until he's uh
he's spoken about as uh one of the best players in his position in the league yeah if we just bring
up those uh pictures as well Simon's in uh Simon's in the white ah just looks so good we're gonna be
accustomed to seeing that a lot he's gonna be making a lot of calls I can tell you he's gonna
be making a lot of calls I just cannot wait to see him get going and it's it's a bit frustrating now
we have to wait a whole two weeks for the international break before seeing him again
but I'm sure a lot of Spurs fans going to be tuning into the Netherlands over these next two
weeks absolutely well maybe behind the behind uh behind watching the game like that just hope he
doesn't get injured because that's god imagine if he gets injured before he makes his debut I'm
gonna be absolutely seething but yeah Ali Gold confirming uh not only did he sign after the
that he's got work permit to um still finalize so um definitely not gonna be playing tomorrow
I'm sure there'll be maybe a walkout uh before the game and he'll be introduced to the fans
I'm sure that'll happen so that's gonna be something exciting and I'll get the crowd up
going and up for it tomorrow um but he won't be playing but yeah I think uh it's one of those
signings where you know it's rare though you you get a sign in there just everyone you
unanimously agrees like it gets excited for no one saying it has doubts over whether this is
going to be a goodbye I think I just think it's a brilliant brilliant piece of business and the
fact we've able to get this over the line considering what we've been through is uh
phenomenal and shocking surprising but you know what credit to uh the credit to the club credit
to the hierarchy credit for Levy for stumping up the money getting this done quickly and
actually getting someone over the line that is a bit of a game changer yeah I say massive credit
to them obviously we've all been through it over the past couple of months with the Morgan
Gibbs-White thing with the Ebreche thing and now we've got Javi over the line I think this is the
best option for us and um it's kind of like you know Spurs are a club of opportunities they sensed
an opportunity with Eze at the time obviously didn't get it over the line uh and he went to
Arsenal and I think they sensed another opportunity later on in the window with Javi Simons because
it didn't seem like an opportunity at all throughout the whole window he looked all set
to join Chelsea uh throughout the whole transfer window so I think this is one of the cases of
Spurs being an opportunistic club working in our favor yes but I I do think he was on our list
I think there's an opportunity but I think he's been on our list all summer he might have been
on our list but it seemed unrealistic yeah only because when we acquired they said he only wanted
Chelsea yeah and that's but that's nothing to do with it wasn't realistic because we weren't
prepared to pay the money or anything no I'm not saying it like that but I'm saying it seemed
unrealistic because he'd already agreed to join another club that's why it seemed yeah exactly so
I think we've you know it's I agree you know these opportunities when they present themselves
you've got to take them and we've looks like we've taken it with both hands and what I like about this
it seems as though we weren't leaving anything up to chance we got the deal agreement very quickly
two three in the morning it all kicked off exactly we locked him in Hotspur way we took away his
phone you're like you are signing this deal you ain't making any more calls tonight no more calls
we you answered our call and that's the last call you're ever gonna answer you only get one call
exactly um but look he seems to be delighted with this decision and I'm just surprised that we've
been able to convince him um so quickly in such a high profile player to come and you know people
like to put us in this uh box of little old Tottenham and oh he would never agree to come
here oh he's you know he's going to go to Chelsea you've got no chance but you know people maybe
underestimate the pool that we have when you're able to convince a player like Simon to all
intensive purposes was very much um sought after by a lot of teams uh to come to us albeit you have
to say I don't know why more teams maybe weren't in for him apart from Chelsea up until now unless
because at the beginning of the window we heard Bayern were in for him
and he rejected and City Arsenal but we heard that he rejected them all to go to Chelsea
so I don't know what's really the truth or what's been happening we know we definitely know for a
fact Chelsea were in for him um but we don't know why it looks seems as though they ran out of money
they prioritize other signings they've run out of money or whatever it is and that's their losses
our gain but like I don't like I don't see this guy as being uh I'm just surprised that we've
basically at this late stage in the window had a bit of a free run at him and just able to get over
the line very quickly and like Bayern didn't get him or City didn't get him or anything obviously
City went for Cherokee in the end and you would expect like with Musiala getting the injury that
he got with the ACL he would be that kind of a natural replacement to go and uh replace Musiala
I'm not sure if they've signed anyone or if they're going for anyone else or if they've got
anyone else I don't know what the Bayern what Bayern have done this summer but you would have
thought he would be a very natural replacement but maybe they thought it was a bit too expensive
than I don't know yeah potentially I mean a 51 million is it's not a crazy expensive deal that's
another part of it you've got to think we've paid less for Simons than we did for Kudus
we've paid less for Simons than we did for Dom Solanke and less for Solanke less for
Charleston it's a great deal it really is a great deal similar price to what we paid for
Brendan Johnson you know I think we've paid less for Simons than Arsenal did for Maduake
it's mad isn't it yeah didn't they pay over 50 million for him I think it was a bit less it
might have been a bit less but you know ballpark figure similar amount like to get someone of this
quality is an incredible feat I think and I think they can be very proud that they've gotten they've
got on this deal for the price that they have considering the market it's an absolute steal
it really is it's a steal yeah in this market and I think when you look at the way what's but that
what the business spurs have done so far in this season Giampaolini on a loan with an option to
buy for 25 million that's unbelievable value and I think we've already seen that with this first
game uh first starting game against um Man City and obviously the game out in Udine as well
unbelievable value on that signing Mohamed Kudus for 55 million off a team that absolutely hate
your guts uh that when he had a buy option for 85 million that's unbelievable value in my opinion
already seeing him um do his stuff on the pitch and now as a third signing Javi Simons so that
is three players now that we've brought in that completely come into our first 11 you know when's
the last time that we've done that where we've signed three players of this caliber I don't think
we've ever done it I think this is the first time we've ever done something like this in terms of
this caliber yes I've obviously when Angus first summer you know Vicaria and then Madison
they'll go go straight in front by us 11 don't they but when it comes to this kind of profile
I mean Simons is you know a player he's got champions league pedigree he's got experience
even for a young player 22 I mean I don't know how many games he's played but you know it's
probably getting close to 200 isn't it at 22 and he's played a lot of games and a lot of games in
champions league and a lot of games at a high level um he's and he's got a lot of games at
international level as well like he's a extremely high profile player and I'll tell you what like
these players that we've signed right I know me and you in the past have have had talks about
these kind of players before like Mohammed Kudus do you remember when he played at that world cup
we're just like I wish we could sign Mohammed Kudus and here I'm lo and behold he's a Tottenham
when he was balling out for Fulham we were all saying we need a number six let's go get
Jal Polina he ends up at Bayern Munich he's a Spurs player now Javi Simons I don't think we
ever spoke about getting him because we always thought like he's just too high caliber only
maybe when he was at PSV potentially but even then it would seem very unlikely small buy option to go
back to PSG activated I always thought he was going to go back there so again it's just a time
yeah I agree that these transfers we've got this summer are players we've appreciated for a long
time personally yeah so it's like that that's never because that that's like that's something
you're talking about with Vicario and Madison like fine yeah we might have spoken about Madison
before but Vicario we'd never heard of and Van de Ven we pretty much didn't know who he was as well
so this is like three high high caliber players with um with massive reputations as well and all
experienced well experienced enough like they've played at the high level Kudus played Champions
League World Cups Pauline is obviously a very experienced player and now Javi Simons is also
he's young but he's as I've said played many many games at a really high level and I think under
Frank um Frank you know you saw what he did with Damsgaard Damsgaard like what came to the was in
the Premier League was really struggling to adapt and then Frank just unlocked another level out of
him and I think Simon you know when you've got someone with his quality he just seems to find a
way of getting the best out of his attackers doesn't matter who he plays there does he yeah
he seems to you know whether it's Maupai whether it's Tony whether it's Watkins whether it's
Mbwemo whether it's Wisser Sade it doesn't matter Damsgaard it's irrelevant who he puts there
he seems to get them getting goals and getting assists and getting the players in situations
to contribute and I think Javi Simons looked at that and I think he thought
I could really thrive here let's go back to X and let's have a look at this tweet
from SVMM on YouTube they uploaded a compilation saying Simons 2025 Javi Simons welcome to Chelsea
in the mud absolutely in the mud incredible absolutely incredible he must be seething
proper egg on their face I love it Chelsea is so muddied right imagine thinking you're getting
Javi Simons and end up with Bonanotte on loan look don't get me wrong I like Bonanotte I think
he's a good player but he's no no he doesn't even scratch the surface with Javi Simons I just can't
imagine they were because they're all talking about um there was a lot of Chelsea fans trying
to cope with the fact that Tottenham were getting and they'll say well if we're letting him if we're
letting Tottenham get him we must have someone else lined up I would just you know it's because
we've let them get him and they've ended up Bonanotte on loan I just can't imagine that
was the original plan can't be can't be that was not the original plan to get Bonanotte on loan
I know I've heard reports that maybe not FFP not PSR but the UEFA kind of financial rulings
they've been close to so maybe that has had an impact on it or something obviously with Spurs
as well we've got big decisions to make come the end of this trance window regarding our
Champions League squad which you know we'll leave that conversation to another day
and another conversation based on what else we're going to do in these last
three four days of this trance window but the next tweet is from Flav saying I'll only be
convinced that Javi Simons has genuinely signed when he's played his 100th game for the club
oh that's how a lot of fans feel like at the moment how this window has been
it can't even it's been announced I still like oh I need it is he going to play
I'm still I'm still scared of it but yeah that's what the PTSD of this trance window will do to
you but I think I think we can all rest easy at the moment I'm still incredibly just blown away
that it's happened I know that we've got it like I never in my wildest dreams thought that we could
actually get this over the line is this like one of the biggest cases of falling upwards you've
100% massively I can't remember a time where we've been able to somehow get a better player
than our original targets in my opinion like I don't know how we've done it but usually what
Spurs do is they'll fumble someone and either get like some crap player on loan or just don't sign
anyone at all we've gone out there and signed Javi Simons not on loan but we've actually signed him
and that's what I said we needed to do after as after the embarrassment of essay I said we've
got to go big and get someone big and go you know he I said he's still available go get him
uh you know I didn't think we'd actually do it but I was like that's what we need to do
and fair play look there's if you're going to recover from that situation where we're all
fuming after the essay debacle and it was very embarrassing but fair play they've recovered it
and they've recovered the situation well and now everyone can get back on board with what's
happening again yeah absolutely and um yeah nobody had to talk about it like a seven-year
contract which is going to take until what is 29 20 32 yeah 29 years of age so that means he's
pretty much saying I'm giving my best years of my career to Tottenham Hotspur which is crazy
which is mad and in my opinion this guy is only going to keep getting better and better and better
yeah he's going to be a star in this league an absolute star I agree uh next up uh Mickey
look at his post just a heart kind of like in love emoji agent Mickey agent Mickey apparently
the first thing Javi Simons did when he heard of the Spurs interest was call his good mate
Mickey van de Ven and he also convinced him to come incredible fan uh come on agent agent
Mickey's done his job yeah absolutely uh let's go to the Ali Gold tweet and he says Javi Simons
was signed off the deadline to play tomorrow for Spurs and has also got to wait for his work permit
anyway he's expected to be at the game tomorrow though and introduced on the pitch to the fans
and we'll be bringing you that footage straight from the stadium don't you worry about that um
he quote retweeted Tottenham's tweet as well just with some phone emojis love it fantastic
come on Jan Javi is uh I think I think he's gonna be like it's gonna become iconic the phone stuff
and I think people are gonna really latch on to that yeah absolutely you're gonna have
stands of grown men and women just going like that in the stands it's gonna be brilliant
uh Hotspur related as well they've given a waving emoji and added Chelsea in there
give Chelsea all the slander they deserve they are in the mud they are in the mud in this deal
and yeah that is the way the internet has well go do refresh it do do uh one more because there's a
nice video going around if people wider eyes physicality oh Declan Rice absolutely that was
him who he but that was who he bullied before he stuck in the top corner again today England
it was but everyone's pointing out people wider eyes physicality that's Declan Rice he's out
muscling there absolutely body Declan Rice body and he's going to do that in the emirates as well
look at that rice can handle him phenomenal right absolutely phenomenal so yeah that is
spurs have announced Javi Simons and I can't wipe the smile off my face
go refresh the uh likes again there's more more reaction yeah this one so Javi Simons lift the
video of him lifting up the shirt he looks delighted to be there oh so great to see
I just cannot believe Javi Simons is officially a Tottenham Hotspur player for the next seven years
it's crazy and as well yeah to think about the age of the squad like who the players who are
gonna um be together him Bergvall saw like he's actually come in a very good like a perfect age
and time to be part of the squad they're all gonna grow together a lot of these players um you know
grey as well um your doggy uh you know all these players uh van der ven all these players are all
very similar age yeah and if we can keep this core together from we could have this team for you
know good good few years if they grow together now we've signed these players and hopefully a couple
more uh before the end of the window you know there's been rumors of a center back there's
been rumors of a left winger or a right winger um what can suppose achieve this season in the
league where do you think we can finish yeah I think right now fifth has got to be the aim
you know we don't think we can break in the top four though maybe but that's not you know I don't
I don't think that has to be necessarily the aim but I think we can the aim is but which I'm asking
what do you think we can achieve yeah I think maybe that Chelsea spot is up for grabs because
I actually think looking at their window I think Pete has gone under the radar that it's not actually
that impressive like I'm looking at their team and they haven't been impressive to start the season
I mean look they won five ones I can't see her and say you know a Chelsea fan would say they
they were impressing that game I didn't think they were particularly great but they did win 5-1
uh they drew near nil to palace obviously they did win the club world cup over the summer which
you you know you gotta give it to them I was I was impressed with an achievement um but I think
you know you look at their team Colwell's out for the season they seem to be not signing a center
back they're currently playing Tosin and Shalaba and Sanchez as a three there like does that scream
top four to you probably not now they're midfield free you gotta say he's definitely up there with
the best I think that could be the best so like that's great fair enough they have a front two
of the lap and Pedro it's pretty good I can't complain they've got good forward they got good
options on the wings Gittins Esther Val uh who else their wingers Neto but like they're not
they're good it's good but it's not like I mean it's not like I look at that and think no like
should not agree with the notion that coming into the season I thought you know we'll do well to
compete with the new castles villas and Manchester United for that fifth spot yeah but now with the
signings that we've brought in I think we should be looking up at Chelsea more and I think we can
compete with Chelsea a bit more yeah I would still I would still say um yeah I agree I think the the
signing of Simon's could as yet it's added that maybe that little bit of expectation into us that
can we seriously challenge that top four is that Chelsea spot for grabs I still think we're far
away from City Liverpool and Arsenal if I'm being honest but yeah I think Chelsea potentially they
could be dragged into it I think if anyone is I still think they're probably a little bit ahead
obviously they've been there more time together as well that plays into it but I think it's up
I think it's not beyond the realms of possibility because I think they've signed Pedro but have they
massively improved anywhere else like Gittens is there but and then they've got Esteval there but
you know last season they had Madawekai they had um they had uh Neto they've got obviously
got Neto there I'm trying to think who else they had last year on the wings I'm just saying like
it's those guys you know it's not guaranteed to massively improve them
the lap's obviously good but like is is the lap guaranteed more goals than what Jackson was going
to give you not necessarily not necessarily he might be a better player I'm saying he's
not guaranteed to get more than 11 12 goals is he this season yeah um so like have they
massively improved they're not necessarily and you know and you can definitely send the back line
they're they're you know compare you compare our back line I much much prefer our back line
to theirs and we're going to be much more competitive defensively so I actually think
when you're looking at back lines I think Spurs and Arsenal have the two best back lines personnel
wise in the Premier League I think we got shout I think we got a better back line than Man City
and a better back line than Liverpool Liverpool yeah I do because you're looking at from a
defensive standpoint and an offensive standpoint I think Pedro Porro right now is a better back
right back than Pringpon in my opinion I think we've got Jed Spence that can cover both who's
who's brilliant we've got uh Destiny and Doggy as well on the left Kerk has obviously had a
great season um at Bournemouth last season so I think left back is is very comparable
and centre-backs they've got Virgil van Dijk who's obviously a Premier League legend
Canate have started the season really poorly it looks like he wants out of this moment
time they could be bringing Mark Gehy in but we've got Romero van der Ven we've got Kevin
Danso they've got Alison as well they've got Alison I wouldn't say we're better than Liverpool
I don't know I think I think we we could have a better back line in tandem than Liverpool
I'm not convinced just yet I I think it's not far off but I yeah I still think I think they've
got I think Kerkes is probably still better than what we got left back at the moment
Kerkes has only done it for one season no he's done it for a couple years last year was his
great season yeah not to the level of what he did last year but he was right now he's been
good for them for a while for Bournemouth but last season was like a step up but he's still
been good I don't know I wouldn't say we're better I don't think we're better than Liverpool but I
City I agree I think Chelsea I agree United I agree Newcastle I agree but like all those teams
so I think man for man I think really only Arsenal Liverpool for me I would say I would say those two
um are man for man better than our back line um depth wise different conversation but I think
they just look so shaky at the back I think it's early days I think they're still
the that's why I predicted that they would be shaky early days but once you those back lines
once for Fringpong and Kerkes and if they get a centre back once they get integrated I think
they'll be all right I think they'll be all right but um yeah I think I think definitely top five
there is no reason that fifth place cannot be there for us especially in Newcastle they're
still up in the air what's going to happen with them Villa they I'm not impressed with their
business even if they get good business done I don't know I think we can finish about Villa
even if they get good business done between now and the end of the season United are actually
shambles at the moment as much as they've got good signings that there are there are shambles
and you know you can't really tell me there's no reason we can't finish above them all the other
teams I'm you you can be confident about so yeah I think that fifth is up for grabs 100% that has
got to be his aim I think that the aim for the season has got to be fifth at the moment it really
does yeah I think fourth is up for grabs I know it's going to be difficult and I don't think we're
favourites to get it but it doesn't mean it's not up for grabs and I think it is I think our
ceiling is probably fourth not saying we're going to get it I think we're most likely probably we
will finish fifth and that probably will be champions league but I think we could be setting
our sights on fourth this season and what's great about the Xavi Simon's one as well is uh
he really he gives you regular goal contributions and that's something we've obviously been lacking
we've been worried about isn't it with son out madison uh injured kulosevsky we're talking about
60 goal contributions out I think Xavi Simons is goes a way of uh rectifying that yeah that
good because what he brings if you just go back onto the Spurs X uh for a second they've just
tweeted again uh if we go back onto that and there you have it worth the way Simons in that black kit
looking absolutely fantastic definitely worth the way we didn't have to wait too long to be fair
no credit to them well it is 29th of august well we had to wait too long in that sense but in terms
of when we heard about yeah yeah I guess if that's if that's how they're putting it then
it was worth it was a bit of a way but yeah man I mean fantastic fantastic signing and
I think uh it's such an exciting player as well I can't what he's he's similar to
he's an exciting player when he gets the ball he makes something happen he always looks forward
he's got that magic stardust that bit of uh that bit of magic in him um like as an old Spurs player
was called le magnifique le magnifique exactly then if there's a dutch term for it if anyone
could put in the uh in the comments but that is what is most exciting as well just to have that
that player that gives us that magic which uh we haven't had um well yeah with Madison out
I think he probably provides but he provides it even more I would say Jaffe yeah he's like
a cross I would say like how I describe is he's a bit of a cross between Madison and a Foden that's
kind of what he is he's got that low center of gravity like Foden but he also has a bit of that
vision like Madison as well he's a bit of a cross between the two and I think he's a phenomenal
talent but as I say you know because he's come from the Bundesliga it might take him a few weeks
but once he adjusts he's gonna fly I'm certain it took son a whole season it took son a whole
season and we saw and he's younger than son yeah and we saw how this ended so um I think he will
hit the ground running uh I mean I think he'll get those cold contributions this season I think
he'll be a star for us this season but um I think when when Javi Simons when you see him play I
think Spurs fans if they haven't already I think a lot of Spurs fans are already falling in love
with him but I think when you see him and play we're gonna really fall in love with this guy
in my opinion um but look I think that is all we have time for unfortunately that is the Javi
Simons announcement to Tottenham Hotspur Spurs are cooking on gas at this moment in time three
top signings in let's hope we can bring in a couple more signings before the end of play on
Monday 7 p.m is the deadline and we got a big weekend ahead people massive massive weekend big
game and then look I think what's great about getting the signing in today is now look obviously
we need signings in the last two days but we can relax a bit because we've got that I think this
was the one that we really needed this was one we're all like desperate for yeah now winger and
defender I want but they're more kind of cherry on top signings for me as much as I think we need
them this was the one that was we were desperation stations for well let's sprinkle that cherry on
top of our trance window right now I'm putting the window at a like seven and a half out of 10
I think if we get the left window in it it brings it up to like a nine for me
providing the quality is there and if we bring in that center back that can also play
one of the fullback positions that makes it a big fat 10 in my opinion so um yeah there you have it
thank you everyone for tuning in today we'll see you all again tomorrow which is match day
time to make it three out of three like subscribe and comment and as always come on you spurs
