How does it play out today with the threat of Son,
one of the more potent players from the left side of the Premier League?
I think it's very much the case, if Liverpool are in good possession of the football,
I don't think you should worry about it too much.
Here's Salah, and Alexander-Arnold, and round the back...
Oh, it's a wonderful finish, what a start for Liverpool.
Curtis Jones has really rubber-stamped his name on the team sheet in recent weeks,
and he's got the ultimate reward there.
Very much straight from the academy with the two players coming through the ranks.
Wonderful vision yet again from the young full-back, Alexander-Arnold.
The pass is absolutely perfect, but all credit to Curtis Jones,
he just peels off the back there.
If you just watch Pedro Porro, he's totally oblivious of what's around him,
you have to have a look over your right shoulder to see if there's anybody at the back.
He doesn't do that, and he just steals in Curtis Jones.
And he's still got a bit to do as Jones, he hits it on the volley as opposed to the half-volley,
and Fraser Foster can't get it down in time.
Take on Liverpool again, and that's Gatpult,
he's gonna break towards Ferryton, but you have said time and time again
you wanted to see him get into those attacking areas to get into good positions.
Yeah, get himself forward, I think he's got the licence to do that.
That's a ball by Salah for Gatpult, and...
Oh, yes, what a goal!
What a finish that is, Lewis Diaz is back with a bang, how about that?
Well, it's 0-1-2, and Tottenham don't really know what's hitting them at this moment in time.
I have to say, how he's managed to squeeze this in, I'm not 100 per cent sure.
He's got an awful lot to do, Gatpult does exceptionally well getting to the by-line,
getting to the ball before it goes out of play.
And then a cross comes, and it looks as if it's really behind Lewis Diaz,
and he's got to really wrap his foot around it, but he does that.
He's in a central position here, there, you just see him peel off the back,
he goes on to the centre-back, Romero, and the fact that Gatpult makes that little run.
Fantastic little run by Gatpult, gets in behind, and it's a fantastic start for Liverpool,
they couldn't have dreamt this, 2-0 in the first six minutes or so.
Now Fabinho, this is Elliot, Alexander-Arnold, and Gatpult,
and there's a challenge, which is going to be a penalty.
It's a lunge by Romero inside the penalty area.
And Gatpult's feet were just too quick, and Tottenham once again were looking very shoddy.
Normally the coolest man in the house from the penalty spot,
and Salah goes straight down the middle,
and business is resumed as normal for Mohamed Salah from the penalty spot.
Business as usual, but it's a fantastic, dreamlike start from Liverpool's point of view,
3-0 against a Tottenham side you would have thought would have put up quite a bit of a fight.
Tottenham are almost trying to start this game again here,
I don't know what it feels like to just lay some sort of platform and try and show something.
That's Dier on for Kane, the flag stays down, and Harry Kane with a chance.
And Son was there and can't turn it home, as it was the flags up against Kane anyway.
GARY GILLESPIES I did look offside, but even after that,
Harry Kane...
I'm not 100 per cent sure how he's passing this, he's got to shoot surely himself.
Bounces to Harry Kane, and Son with a chance!
Liverpool are trying to get cover back, oh, Van Dijk makes a brilliant block.
That's brilliant from Virgil van Dijk, it really is,
to get across and deal with Son's goal-bound effort for once.
Alisson is beaten, but not Virgil van Dijk behind him.
That's Skip.
Perisic.
That's brilliant, he's sat Van Dijk down, and Kane does score.
Tottenham nearly scored a moment ago, now they do score through Harry Kane.
GARY GILLESPIES Managers are absolutely human, and rightly so.
You've got Tottenham where you want them, and then you allow them to get back into the game.
There's a little bit of unlucky Virgil van Dijk,
all credit to Perisic, lovely little pass as well.
Good finish by Kane as well, on the volley.
GARY GILLESPIES He actually said before this game how important it was they made a good start,
and didn't get off to the sort of start they have in the last couple,
but they're making a heck of a comeback now.
That's a really good ball for Son, who's got it...
Oh! He's so unfortunate.
The flag goes up now, Liverpool's defenders turn to the linesman in fury.
Whatever it was, it was a great effort at the end.
GARY GILLESPIES Well, he makes that run,
and does it ever so well, but on that occasion he just goes a little bit early,
so unlucky with the shot.
You can see here, he cuts in on two players, uses Van Dijk as a shield.
GARY GILLESPIES We're at that stage of the game where the next goal feels massive,
and that's Kulishevsky, it's perfectly measured to Son.
Oh, and he's hit the woodwork.
Well, he did it in the first half and he was offside,
and he's done it this time and it was legal.
Tottenham so close to a second goal.
Comes to Hojbjerg, now Kane.
Oh, what a touch that is!
And they've hit the woodwork again.
Well, it's a wonderful sport by Harry Kane,
there's questions whether Romero was offside or not.
It's like, does it go up?
Kane's goal came after 39 minutes.
Tottenham have had chances since then to close the gap further.
And here come the white shirts moving forward, that's Romero.
Oh, the ball to Son, it's absolutely delightful!
And it's game on at Anfield, Son has scored,
he's made it 3-2, and Tottenham breathe more life into this game
after trading 3-0 after 15 minutes.
Well, you have to say the efforts he's had, he probably deserves this.
He's onside, it's Robertson that's putting him on the far side.
And on this occasion, Alisson Becker can't do too much about it.
And now Milner's been penalised.
You've got to keep your heads here, you don't want to be giving away silly free kicks.
Well, it's Son to take, and it's Richarlison who's got round the back and scored!
What a comeback by Tottenham, it's completed by Richarlison.
Nothing has gone right for him in a Tottenham shirt so far,
but it finally comes right at Anfield of all places, it's 3-3.
I don't know if he makes that much of a contact on it, Richarlison.
He'll get a yellow card for taking his shirt off, obviously.
But as I say, you can't be giving stupid free kicks away, it just heaps pressure on you.
I'm not sure if Richarlison gets anything on it,
I think if anything it might be a foot from Darwin Nunez.
But for Liverpool, they wonder what could have been.
Well, that's back towards Thiago Jota, who's inside the penalty area, and scores!
Absolutely incredible!
Scenes the like of which only seem to happen at Anfield.
Tottenham come from three down to 3-3 in stoppage time,
only for Thiago Jota to come from nowhere and score for Liverpool and make it 4-3.
Well, all my days, where do you ever see anything like it?
He's still got quite a bit to do as a Portugal international,
but as all good strikers, hit the target, find the corner,
ask questions of the goalkeeper, Fraser Foster doesn't have any answers.
An amazing game at Anfield, an astonishing end, Liverpool 4-3 Tottenham.
