We've got three stocks set up to go higher, and I'm buying all three.
Viasat, Algoma Steel, and Standard Lithium.
Let's dive in.
Hey, Ross Givens here, a trader for more than 20 years.
And every Tuesday, I put out a video sharing my most actionable trade ideas right now.
Stocks in leading groups coming out of clean breakout patterns that I believe are viable
right now have a good chance at a big upside, and you can take it with a limited risk.
So if you're not already a subscriber, be sure to click the button down there in the channel
so these will show up in your feed.
But let's go ahead and take a dive into the market.
Now, what you're looking at here is my industry strength indicator.
All it does is take the top or takes 40 sectors and subsectors of the stock market and ranks
their performance over 1, 2, 3, 6, 9, and 12-month periods.
And the idea here being wherever all the big funds are buying, the hedge funds, pension
funds, endowments, ETFs, the areas the big Wall Street players are buying in mass are
going to rise faster than the others.
It's a quick way to figure out where the leadership is in the market, where the dollars are flowing,
and where you want to focus your efforts.
And right now, the picture is clear as day.
Rare earth minerals, rare earth metals, rare earth metals, rare earth metals near the top
of every single list.
Definitely an area you want to look at.
Gold miners, as well as the entire mining and metals sector.
Gold miners, mining and metals, mining and metals, steel, gold miners.
So all the metal sector is very, very strong here.
And then the space sector also beginning to show strength.
In the 1-month list, the top of the 2-month, up here in the 3-month list, and the 6, and
the 9, and the 12, also the lithium space.
So the trend right now is very, very clear.
The NVIDIA AI semiconductor trade is over.
Wall Street is flowing into hard assets.
Metals, energy, rare earth.
So these are the areas we want to focus on.
Now, unfortunately, a couple of these are fairly extended.
Silver, as you probably know, is on a tear.
This was a $50 metal a month ago, two months ago.
Now it's $108.
And accordingly, most of these stocks are fairly extended.
This is Pan American Silver up here at $63.
AG, another one broke out and just surged.
It's more than doubled in the last couple of months.
Copper is another area I'm extremely, extremely bullish on.
But most of the big copper names, tech, for example, is extended.
FCX, Freeport, McMoran, already up big.
SCCO.
Now, will these be higher six months a year, two years from now?
I firmly believe they will.
But I'm looking for nice clean patterns where I can buy at a very precise moment
and have a good chance to stop moving up very quickly.
Now, if all I'm showing you here is new to you,
if you don't understand how to precisely buy these breakout patterns,
what you want to do is click the link in the description
or go to TradeWithRoss.com.

But let me show you the three stocks I'm buying right now.
In fact, I'm going to place these trades here live with you.
The first one, Viasat, ticker V-S-A-D.
This is that space sector we looked at.
And while the breakout pattern is not perfect, it's super, super strong.
We look at the relative strength rating of this stock as a 99 out of 100,
meaning it is outperforming 99% of the market.
We had a big move up, it comes in, it kind of shallows,
tightens up in here, breaks out again,
and continues to just push to new highs and consolidate.
So depending how you're looking at this,
it is just kind of continually tightening up, pushing higher,
higher lows, higher highs, exactly the kind of stock we want to buy.
So I'm going to go ahead and pick up shares of Viasat here.
Now, I'm not going to take a lot of risk on this one.
I'm just going to work a stop-loss right here at about $40.30, about a 10% risk.
So I'll go ahead and place this trade here on Viasat.
I'm just going to pick up 100 shares of the stock.
As I said, I'll put a stop-loss here at $40.30.
So let's turn on our stop-loss, 40-30, again, 10% risk.
Set the time and force to good till cancel
because we don't want this stop-loss to disappear at the end of the day.
And we'll go ahead and send that order in.
Okay, we're now long Viasat with a stop at $40.
Whoops.
Should have been 40-30.
My bad.
Anyway, right in there.
Okay.
All right, that's number one.
And the goal being here, again, just get exposure to the leading groups.
We want some of the top stocks in the top groups.
We have a strong market.
And if we get any kind of consolidation breakout move,
the odds are just massively stacked in our favor.
Okay, the other area we're seeing strength is steel,
which continues to show up on most of these lists
no matter what you're buying,
whether it's data centers or daycare centers,
they all have steel in them.
And one stock in a perfect pattern is Algoma Steel, ticker ASTL.
Now, this stock, unlike the other, has been getting murdered
for the better part of the last year, from 12 to 3.
But it's putting in our pattern, coming off the lows here,
signaling a potential breakout up into new highs.
So you see the perfect shallowing here, big deep.
You get the supply being absorbed.
The buyers are stepping in.
It's tightening up beautifully.
So I want to take this on a breakout above right here, above $4.72.
So this is Algoma Steel, ASTL.
Again, I want to buy the breakout here above this high at $4.76.
So let's just go ahead and put a buy stop order in on this one.
I'm not going to do a stop limit.
We'll just do a regular buy, $4.
We'll just call it $4.80 to trigger us in.
If it does get us in there, we'll use a 10% stop loss.
That's going to be, what, $48 minus $4.80, around $4.30.
So we'll make it like $4.35.
Make it good till canceled.
1,000 shares, buy order sent.
So I have an order to buy ASTL if and when it gets above $4.80 a share.
If it doesn't, I will not own this.
The reason you want to see confirmation is, we see this not often,
but sometimes it kind of comes up, it's getting ready,
and then it just doesn't have the buyers and it rolls over.
So we need the confirmation to clear the supply level to confirm we're going to buy.
And in third, Weatherstock SLI.
This is standard lithium.
Now lithium, another one of these areas that continues to show up
on a lot of our industry strength charts here.
Really clean pattern.
It looked like it broke out a little bit early and it wasn't ready,
but you had this huge uptick from 2 to 6.
It's a tripling in September.
Comes way, way, way in.
Tightens up.
Shallows beautifully.
Breaks out.
Gap here higher.
It's pulled back.
So we're getting kind of a second chance to buy at the breakout here.
So I'm going to go ahead and take this one to the market.
I'll put a stop loss beneath that big breakout high day.
Call it $5.
Let's go ahead and buy this one as well.
I'm just going to take at the market 1,000 shares.
We'll put a stop loss in at $5.
And set that to good till canceled.
Buy.
Send the order.
And we're in.
All right.
So that's our three trades.
