Hello everyone! So, I'm back in university! Yay! I will be taking you guys along. My first
week back in university. And today we are Monday. I don't have school. Yay! So, I don't
have school on Monday. Well, usually I do, it's just I don't have tutorials or anything.
Technically, I don't have school tomorrow, Tuesday as well, but it's because I'm waitlisted for a
class. So, I'm still gonna go because I'm waitlisted and I still want to attend that class.
I'm second place and the thing is, I'm just waitlisted for the labs, which is really stupid.
Like, I'm in the class, but I'm not in the labs. Like, why can't you put as many seats in the class
as in the labs, you know? Tomorrow I'm gonna go to school to attend the class so I'm not
late on anything and I'm also going to beg the teacher to let me in. Not the teacher, I'm gonna
beg the little, the counselor, the person that's in charge of classes to please let me in and this
makes no sense. So, we'll see how that goes. But today is just a day of prepping for school and
organizing my calendar. I'm writing stuff down to be prepared for the year, the new academic year
to come. But yeah, today is pretty much a prep day for school. For those who are new here, I am a
aerospace engineering student and I'm entering my, technically I've already started my second year,
but this is, I just came out of an internship. So, this is my first semester with classes
of my second year. I'm really excited to go back to school. I feel like I missed being locked in
and this year I really have some goals that I want to achieve and that means I might sacrifice a bit
of YouTube time. So, I'm sorry if there's less vlogs during the school year, but I really want to focus
on getting better grades and working harder. Not working harder, but being more efficient and yes,
working harder, kind of, you know? I want to be more efficient and I want to make sure that what
I learn for the exam actually stays in my head instead of just staying in my head only for the
exam and then leaving, you know what I mean? So, I have some big goals for my academic year
this year and yeah, I just felt like sharing that I guess. I'm excited to learn some new stuff
because I have some more specific aerospace classes. So, I'm excited to see what those
are about. So yeah, come with me for my first week back in university. So, I'm gonna be using this
pocket planner that was sent to me by a company called Clever Fox. They were really nice enough
to send me one because they felt like it would match with what I do and with my audience. So,
I just wanted to show you guys quickly my little planner because I think it's very useful for
the year. This is not a sponsored video, I just think that you guys might be interested,
so that's why I'm showing it to you guys. There's this little section in the beginning with
my goals and I'm going to be filling it out because I want to write my goals for this year,
this school year specifically, and there's a lot. There's health, fitness, business, finance, personal
development, there's a lot. So, I think that's really cool to have. They also have, you know,
the calendar, the months. This is a weekly calendar, they also have a monthly
calendar. I think this is a very nice little planner to have. And I have the
updated weekly planner, that's the one I got. So, I invite you guys to go check out Clever Fox.
They have good planners and they have, I think, even a student section or an engineering
section. So, if you guys want to check it out, go ahead. I'm going to be writing my little
goals for this academic year and yeah, that's what I'm going to be doing.
I'm currently doing a bit of baking and prepping for tomorrow. So, I'm making banana bread and I'm
also making a chia seed pudding for breakfast so I can bring it to school because the class I am
taking is at 8.45 in the morning and I don't think I'm going to be eating before that. So, yes.
My chia pudding didn't really work. I don't know why and it's not like the first time I
make chia pudding so I don't know where I went wrong with my measurements.
That's okay, we'll fix this. It just really annoys me we don't have fresh fruit
that I would have liked to put in the pudding. The roads are really icy. I almost,
I slipped and I almost fell in front of a bunch of high schoolers waiting for their bus.
How many aura points is that, guys?
Hello, Minou. Aw, cute. All night I wasn't able to sleep even though I went to bed at 10.30
and I don't know why I couldn't sleep. I don't know if it's because I was hungry
or because I just, I was nervous because I was starting school again
but I did go to sleep later than I wanted so I was tired this morning waking up.
This shirt, I really like this shirt because of the little button on here. Also, this is the matcha
I got. Really good. I definitely really like this matcha for lattes. Wow. I have spent the last
few hours, I think ever since 2-3 p.m. Actually, ever since I did my matcha, whenever that was,
I have been spending the time looking and stressing about what university to go abroad
to. I don't know if I've discussed this yet but I want to study abroad for the next winter semester
so in a year. The deadline to apply is the 15th of January and I didn't really know that until my
friend texted me. I had already made an application maybe in the beginning of June, July, January.
Initially, I wanted to go to France because there's the university ISAE Spairo. I want to go
there. Luz is a good aerospace place. There's a lot of aerospace companies and just the university
is very good and recognized. Then my friend was like, oh I want to go to Manchester which is also
has a good aerospace program. It's recognized as well. I was like, why not? We both applied to
Manchester and then I realized I don't have the grade for it. I don't have the required GPA
because I got confused and I thought I did but turns out I don't. I'm like, well I don't have
the required GPA. I'm going to change mine to France because I have the required GPA for France.
I asked to get back my application and so I can change it. Mind you, today we are the 13th of
January so the deadline to apply is in two days. I'm looking through the France university program
and they do have a program. It's like an English program and it looked really interesting. It
was like, do I apply, do I put this program or do I put just random classes from the school?
The lady tells me, oh you can't put the classes from the school because they're not compatible
with my university which is Concordia University. I'm like, okay but the program is. She's like,
yes the program is but it only credits you two classes. Then she tells me the two classes
and it's the two aero classes that I'm taking right now. Basically, if I would have wanted
to take that program at Toulouse, I would have needed to take it right now like this winter
semester and I didn't know. I wasn't aware. That was out of the picture which really annoyed me
because I was down to go to Manchester with my friend and I was like, well I'm okay with going
to France alone. I feel like that would be fine but now France is out of the picture and that
really annoyed me so now I was like, oh where do I go? For the last few hours, I was just looking
at where to go and all my options and just really, really stressed about it because the deadline is
in two days. I was really stressed about it and it really sucks that I don't have the grades for
Manchester because I feel like maybe I could have done better and gotten better grades.
That's why I really want to lock in this semester but I have finally made my decision.
I have finally come to a decision. I decided that I was gonna put back Manchester just to see if I
if because the university has to first accept your choice and then you have to apply to the
other university. My university needs to accept if they think I should go to Manchester or not.
I'm gonna put back Manchester as my first choice and then I have an option, a little square at
the end that says, do you want us to put you somewhere else if you are not chosen for this
university? I'm gonna put yes and then there's a little box and it says, where do you not want to
and I'm gonna put I want to go. Instead of putting not where I want to go, I'm going to put where I
want to go because I can write what I want. I'm gonna tell them I would like you to put me in
Spain basically. I want them to put me in Spain if I don't get chosen to Manchester.
I think specifically it's Carlos III University or something that has a recognized aerospace
program as well and I have a cousin in Spain and I speak Spanish so I'm like, you know what,
I'll go back to Spain. I went to Spain before, I'll go to Madrid, I'll go to Spain, why not?
I am at peace with that decision so I'm gonna be doing that right now. I'm going to be
resubmitting my application with the modification I have chosen but that was very stressful and I
not enjoy that. Also, fun fact, tomorrow I have to be at school at 8 20 in the morning
and then I finish at 8 p.m. Oh my god, kill me. This is the OOTD for today. I'm wearing these
new jeans I got a few days ago. You cannot see. Jeans, they're just black jeans. I tried to do a
messy bone. This is me trying to show you my pants. Time to go, I have 10 minutes. I need to
get myself a matcha. I'm bringing myself this because I know I'm gonna need it. I finish at
8 p.m. tonight. I start at 8 a.m. so. It's literally still dark outside. The sun is supposed
to rise at 7 30 in the morning and it's 7. Oh my god, the roads. I'm currently walking on the road
because today is even slipperier than yesterday. It's even more slippery than yesterday because
it rained and now, well, because it rained there's ice and it's wet and there's slush.
So there are cool things right now.
Hello everyone. Today was a long and tiring day. I had school from like 8 to 8.
Very tiring. I had two big lectures back to back from like two three-hour lectures back to back
from like 2 45 to 8 15. So quite tiring and like the last class of the day
is a very like important class where you have to actually lock in.
So it was a bit difficult to lock in at like 7. So the class is mechanics of machines I think.
So yeah but I'm actually proud of myself. I did actually lock in. I wrote some stuff. I was just
trying to write down anything and everything so and make sure because the thing is I can't like
listen to what the teacher is saying and try and try to understand what he just said.
So I took a bunch of notes and I'm hoping to like when I review it I'm gonna be like oh yeah
you know. The two aero class I just want to quickly tell you guys about the two aero classes I'm
taking. The first one I'm taking is a... I don't even know what it is to be honest. Put it up in
the screen. I'm having like a big blank. I lowkey forgot what it was but the other aero class I have
is like a big project class and it's a design class. Big design class and we don't have a
midterm. We don't have a final but we have like it's a big project and we'll have to do reviews,
design reviews and stuff like that. Presentations. So yeah but tomorrow I'm back at school all day
from like 8 45 to 8 15 again. So big day. We'll see if I survive.
It's now Friday. I don't have school. I forgot to film yesterday a lot. I didn't
have time because I came home late. Also my boyfriend surprised me by coming back from
his school. For some context he goes to a university that's like an hour and a half
away from me. So yeah. But also yesterday was just like a big big day. Today I don't have classes.
Usually I do. It's just that it's tutorials today. So the first week there is no tutorials
but next week I will be having school on Fridays early in the morning again.
But yeah. Yesterday I had two new classes. One of them is material science and to be fair the
first class was a bit disappointing. I don't know if it was if it was a mix of like me not
locking in. So I was kind of disappointed that I rotted a bit during the class but also just like
the teacher didn't seem to be explaining anything. Maybe just because it's the first class.
But yeah there wasn't much being said. It's Cรฉgep chemistry. It's like first year Cรฉgep chemistry.
So I guess I'd have to revise that but I'm not the biggest fan of chemistry. Like orbitals and
stuff. That's what we were doing. And then I had a history class. It's an elective I'm taking right
now. It's history of modern Europe and the teacher is like specific about the French
Revolution and stuff. Low key this is the first humanities like class that I'm taking
in uni ever and I've been at uni for like two years now. I was so shocked when the teacher
asked the question and people started talking and discussing because usually in STEM classes
the teacher will ask a question and either answer himself or there's only always that like one or
two people that will answer for the teacher. But no one really answers you know. No one
discusses that much. I remember in one of my classes, the design class, the teacher was
talking. Someone raised their hand and the person kind of goes oh yeah and it's interesting because
blah blah blah blah blah. And then the teacher is like yeah was that a question? And the guy was
like no no it's just like a comment to add to what you were saying. And I remember like we were all
kind of like looking at each other like what? Because that is not the norm in STEM classes.
No one really does that except like that one person. But in the history class everyone was
doing that. And I'm not the biggest fan of people talking. I just prefer the teacher teaching.
But I know it's like what you're supposed to do I guess in these type of classes. I don't know.
So we'll see how that goes. I think it was pretty it looked interesting and it looks like the type
of classes that the teacher has that you have to like type down everything the teacher is saying.
So that was yesterday's day and today I'm planning on studying. I don't know if I'm
going to film much because I'm technically not in uni and I know this is like a
back in uni vlog. But we'll see. I'm planning on studying because bro this is the first week
and I'm already late on stuff. Like I'm late on stuff. Like there's so much workload this semester
and I'm planning on really trying to do my best for my classes. Like trying to get really good
grades. So like I think it's possible but I know I'm not going to have a social life. I'm not going
to be like even the videos I'm warning you guys in advance and I'm sorry I might have to
tone down like the frequency of posting because I don't know if I'll have time. I'm
prioritizing school and well yeah so but I will try my best to still post when I can.
Today I'm planning on studying though.
