UK Finance Minister Confident in Trade Deal With US

And today, Britain's finance minister expressed confidence in a trade deal signed with the United States last year. Rachel Reeves said the agreement will hold, despite escalating tensions between President Trump and Europe over Greenland. Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Reeves said she had spoken with U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick. The U.S. and Britain announced a deal last year to lower tariffs on certain products. Both countries agreed to cut import duties on cars and steel and better access to agriculture markets. Trump has threatened an additional 10 percent tariff on European countries and the U.K. that oppose his desire to acquire Greenland, a territory of Denmark.
