awaits you One day you'll be honored with a title and high office I have a word to say I don't know if I should say this or not but if I may it seems to me you've recently gone through a tough ordeal—what kind of ordeal The Peach Blossom Afflictio I'd die beneath the blossoms and even as a ghost I'd be romantically wild I love it Is the treasure chest ready It's been ready for ages General please proceed General please be seated Manuscript from the upper hand General I heard you took a trip to the Jiangnan region—what a wonderful place that is with spring- like weather all year round and a sea of beautiful women though mostly just painted-up common beauties But I heard you've got a little leading lady here—her voice and beauty are both outstanding Is it true It really is true So General Lu has heard about her too I see You said it yourself—when I check later and find it doesn't live up to the name I'll twist your head off and use it as a soccer ball cover Miss Liu May I ask your name General Lu's residence What brings you here General Lu greatly admires Miss Liu's talents and would like to invite her to his residence for a meeting tonight Can I say I'm not going In my them Miss Liu said she didn't want to go What a bunch of useless people Isn't this none other than Master Han the elder Han from the Grand Marshal's residence You're in high spirits tonight Old Han— practicing martial arts at this hour This isn't your business go do what you need to do They' re the ones who want to seize the village women Shut your damn mouth Or keep talking and I'll rip your doggy mouth apart How could the people of the Grand Marshal's Mansion possibly do such a disgraceful thing I've come on orders from the Grand Marshal to take him I suggest you stay out of this He won't but I will Make her pass my test before you say another word Shut your mouth One more word out of you and I'll put a bullet in you Uncle Han what kind of scoundrel is this kid How dare he disregard the prestige of the Great General's mansion How should I know he's just some filthy cart -puller daring to defy the Great General's mansion He must really be tired of living Since he's so eager to die I'll just see him off Master Han please calm down What's wrong Are you going to get involved too I'm just a lowly patrol officer—how could I possibly interfere with matters at the general 's residence But Master Han you see this is French territory—so what does that matter Uncle Han if you cause any trouble here we might all have a hard time explaining it to those red-haired green -eyed foreigners later—don't you think Fine then I'll let this troublesome young man live one more day Miss Liu we'll meet again someday Take your time Mr Han You've got a death wish don't you Daring touch someone from the Grand Marshal's residence I'll draw my sword for justice whenever I see wrong—no matter who they are Miss Liu they've left Don't worry I'll get you home on time Thank you You doing He's much better now let's go in and see him It's truly rare these days to find a policeman like you You say in this day and age I take bribes and get condemned by the people If I don't take it I'll get骂 from my peers Anyway I'm bound to get criticized no matter what so I might as well take the dirty money and use it to do some good deeds I knew it all along—that there are still good people in this world—but it's a shame nowadays good people don't get rewarded while those rotten scoundrels thrive Yongzhen please come see me every day okay Don't say such things Your health comes first now lie down Father look I brought back your pastries for you Hurry up and open it hurry up and open it Let's all eat together This was bought specially for you Just keep it and enjoy it slowly I never thought my worthless life would still have so many people caring about me Father Uncle He says life has no inherent value—good or bad it's all in your own hands the real key is always yourself Whatever way you want to live that's up to you I agree with that Uncle He it's getting late Have something to eat and get some rest right away I'll be heading back now Alright then I won't keep you Take good care of yourself Brother I happen to be off this afternoon If you're free Come home and have a drink with me Okay sure let's go Then we're off rest well Let me see you off then This is much better than I imagined your home would be Don't say that at all—just sit anywhere it's a bit messy I'll tidy up a bit Sit I'll get some wine and dishes Okay Three years ago I caught a petty thief and locked him up in jail Later I found out he stole the money to pay for his daughter's medical treatment But in doing so not only was his daughter's illness left untreated but he also died in prison from sheer distress and anxiety As a result his daughter was left utterly alone and helpless This is her in the photograph Where is he now Ever since I found out about this I paid for doctors to cure his illness then sent him to study in Peiping he should be returning soon Brother Jiang truly has a noble heart I was wrong to mistrust you earlier Here let me toast you This is truly a case of "no fight no friendship " I'm raising my glass to you come on Where are you from Ma brother I'm from Shandong I'm from Shandong too You're from Shandong as well Then we're old acquaintances meeting in a his virtue but also exceptionally skilled in martial arts every shipment he guards has never been lost—indeed not a single one has ever failed That was the final attempt—and it failed And even lost your life You know that I won't hide it from you Ma Zhenzheng is my father You are the son of the renowned martial artist Ma Zhenma No wonder now—I could always tell you had a strong spirit different from ordinary people You 're actually the child of a hero That famous martial artist What happened later to bring about his downfall He was betrayed by a villain Who set a trap for my father Who is it Officials of the Qing dynasty Who might you be friend Our lord is currently gathering military funds from all directions if you don't leave the镖营 immediately don't blame me for showing no mercy with my blade My apologies my apologies So you're one of the lord's men This shipment entrusted to me by the employer's family is hard-earned sweat and blood money since I have been entrusted with this duty I shall faithfully fulfill my obligation—may Your Highness kindly show mercy Let me off the hook— come day I’ll personally thank you at your home Do you really think we’ re here today to discuss things with you Let me make this clear: today I’m taking your convoy If you're willing to give me a few more lives I don't mind at all—since that's the case I'll take my leave
