Do you feel like the Pavane won't let you sit still? 💃 Gabriel Fauré would surely be delighted. He drew inspiration from a majestic dance of the Spanish court. Shortly after its premiere, the piece was given its first of many choreographic settings, the most famous of which arrived in 1917 thanks to the famed dance ensemble Ballets Russes of the impresario Serge Diaghilev.

Not a ballet dancer? No problem. Anyone—even the most amateur dancer—can sway to its calm melody. 😊 🎶
