We’re taking you along as we bring our luxury motorhome to Disney World and stay at Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground! From arriving and setting up our house on wheels to heading into the parks for magical adventures, come experience what it’s really like RV camping at Disney ✨ 🏰 🚍
We are arriving at Disney World and I think the person that is most excited about that
is this guy right here. There it is. There's a big Disney World sign.
You're gonna hit that trash can. Buddy, we made it here. So we're gonna take you all along for
the journey with us to show you what it's like to go to Walt Disney World in an RV. Okay,
it's officially time. Disney time. Now it's time to do Space Mountain. Here we go, babe.
How'd you do, babe? The countdown is officially on. We are t-minus 30 minutes away from arriving
in our motorhome to the happiest place on earth. And in case you can't tell from that hint,
that means we're arriving at Disney World. And I think the person that is most excited about that
is this guy right here. Axel is the most excited. He's more excited than I am. I think you're more
excited. I'm very excited to go see the land of the mouse. That's right. And just for the record,
no, we do not have any kids with us. It is just Chris and I. And I don't know why, but Chris is
obsessed with Disney World. So we try to go as much as we can in the RV. The deal was this year
that if he took me out west and we got to go to Banff and some other amazing national parks,
I would go to Disney World with him as soon as we got the opportunity. So here we are.
Okay, so a little bit of a life update for those who may or may not have seen some of our last
videos, but we owned an RV lot in Northern Michigan that we just sold and had to move out of.
So now we're on a trip going from Michigan all the way down south to Florida and then eventually
heading west out to our other RV lot in Southern California. So we're going, what, I think 5,000
miles total? That's a pretty long trip because it's from the very tip northern border down to
the very bottom in Florida pretty much and then back up and then all the way across to the west
side. So we tend to do these kind of extreme drive trips. I don't, every time we get in the
middle of it, I'm like, why did we decide to do that? But we're going to cover a lot of ground.
So we decided that since we're going to be in Florida, we take the opportunity to go stay at
Fort Wilderness. If you didn't know this, Disney World actually has an RV resort that is one of
their Disney resorts called Fort Wilderness and it's a really, really nice RV park. I think it
was probably the first like a luxury RV park we ever went to. Yeah, it was three, four years ago,
wasn't it? Yeah, I think it was almost four years ago now. Like right when we got our first super
CRV, we took it to Disney World as one of our first trips. I still remember trying to get it in
because I hadn't driven it much and I struggled to get that thing in there the first time.
Yeah, I remember that. It's been about two years since we were there the last time, so this will
be fun. Yeah. And even though we don't have kids, we do have this little guy right here who loves
Disney World and loves all the Disney amenities. They have a great dog park for him to play with.
We've been driving about six hours total today. We were coming from Hilton Head, South Carolina,
heading down to Orlando. So like I mentioned, we're about 30 minutes away now.
Getting excited. Ready to be out of the RV, honestly. But today's been a really smooth
travel day. No complaints. Nothing's gone wrong. Knock on wood since we still have 30 minutes to go,
but so far it's been good. Yeah, it has been. I mean, coming down 95 is always a pain in the butt,
but traffic has not been too bad today. No, but it's just, it's constant traffic. Like,
Chris cannot use the cruise control on the rig, which is kind of annoying. So he's having to
constantly adjust the speed and it's just been very steady traffic all over. And you might be
able to hear the beeping in the background of our Freightliner safety systems alerting us there's
cars around, which when you're in a lot of traffic, happens a lot and it's very annoying.
Very much so. You have to tune it all out, which is exactly what you should be doing with your
safety systems, tuning them out. Right, exactly. So Freightliner, if you're listening, find a way
to make that better. All right, babe, this is our exit. I'm excited. Going towards Epcot,
Disney Springs. That's where we're going. You better be excited because the whole reason we're
going here is for you. I thought we were going for you. No, I can do without Disney World ever
again in my life. I wonder when Halloween starts here. Are we going to catch the end of Halloween?
We might. Or beginning of Halloween. That'd be cool. That would be cool. I've never been here
during Halloween. Are you going to dress up? I am dressed up. What's your favorite Disney character
you'd want to dress up as? Oh, you got to go to Disney character? Yeah. Well, so I don't even know
if I could name three Disney characters. Anything Disney related. What about Star Wars?
That's Disney. I go as Anakin Skywalker. The bad guy. The bad. When he was bad, not when he was good.
There it is. There's a big Disney World sign. The most magical place on earth. Is it the most
magical place on earth, though? That's what I want to know. It seems magical. All the bushes are
shaped like Mickey Mouse and animals. I guess if that's your definition of magical, then I suppose
it is. I don't know what magical is. I think what'll be magical is if you ever get grandkids,
we can come back here with the grandbabies. Now that would probably be pretty magical. That would
be pretty cool. Seeing through kids' eyes. The grandbabies. The grandbabies. One day. So I can
spoil them. That's right. Chance and Jack, if you're listening to this, get on the grandbaby
making. We'll get married first. Yeah. All right. According to the GPS, we have 1.5 miles to go.
We're getting off at Epcot Boulevard to get to Fort Wilderness. This has honestly been a pretty
easy drive, I have to say. Like, it's been very smooth. Molly has done great this whole trip.
No issues. Molly has been a dream. We didn't even stop to get gas or anything on this trip. No,
that's true. That was nice, wasn't it? Kind of amazing. You've done a great job driving,
as always, Ben. Thank you. Very proud of you. Thank you. And Axel has done an incredible job
sleeping. What I love about driving into Disney World, and of course now that I say it, you can't
really see it, but you get to see a lot of the attractions off the really tall ones, right? So
there was Epcot, the Epcot Ball, and there was the Swan Hotel and the Dolphin Hotel, and sometimes
you'll see the top of Mount Everest when you're over here. Yeah, it is cool that you actually get
to see some of the attractions as you're driving in. If you're really paying attention, you can see
some of them from, like, behind. So you'll come, like, around Mount Everest, and it's nothing but
scaffolding, and you see some of the construction materials, and then from the front, it looks like
Mount Everest. It's pretty cool. Okay, this is our exit. Fort Wilderness! Woohoo! That's Fort
Wilderness left lane. You gotta go left. Oh, ----. Sorry. I thought it was saying we go towards Epcot,
but... It doesn't actually say Fort Wilderness. You want to go left. I know. I see that now.
Actually, look. There's Epcot. There's the Swan. Oh, yeah. You can actually see the Epcot Ball. I can't
see it with your big head in the way. Oh, look at that. Axel woke up. Axel's getting excited. Hey,
man. You can smell Disney World, can't you? He loves Disney World. Can you smell Mickey, huh? Are you excited?
He is excited. Smells like every other mouse, huh? Fort Wilderness or Camp Wilderness? It's the campsites
at Fort Wilderness is its official name. This is also Wilderness Lodge. Yes, which are two
different things that we learned the hard way on the bus. Entirely different sides of the place.
Here we go. Turning left into Fort Wilderness. Fort Wilderness Campground. I have to say, even
though I'm not a huge fan of Disney World, I do love the way they do their RV, the way they do
their resorts and theme parks. Everything is so nice. And themed, right? Like all our pedestals
look like logs. It's pretty cool. They do a really nice job and the campsites are all really big and
I'm just hoping it won't be too crowded since we're kind of going a random time of year.
Yeah, it'll be crowded, but it's not the busiest time of year for sure.
We need to get some little Mickey ears for Axel. Yeah, we do. We need those so badly. We do.
I want to see Axel and Mickey Mouse ears. Check-in. Hello. Okay, great. Thank you.
Look at that. There's no line today to check in. Usually when we get here, there's a long line to
check in. Geo number two. I don't know. I just picked that. Two seemed like a good number.
Stop. Where am I supposed to stop? Right here or keep going? Don't know. Hello. All right,
great. Thank you so much. Thank you. We appreciate the help. Oh, Axel, look at this, buddy.
Look at that. We got our Disney card. It's our Mickey card. Okay, so we just got to pull up here
and unhitch really quick and then we can head over to our site. So you'll unhitch and I'll
drive the car over. Those are all the new cabins. Oh, look at that. Fancy. Yeah, those are nice.
Getting the Lincoln unhooked so that way we can get into our site. I think all the sites here
are back-end sites, so you always have to unhook first. None of them are pull-through to my
knowledge. Well, I don't know if that's true. I think it is, but I'm pretty sure.
They want you to unhook anyway right here so that way you don't block the road.
I hope our site's nice. I'm sure it will be. It's Disney. Otherwise, I'm gonna have to drive back
up and talk to our friend at the gate. I'm not gonna stay in a bad site here. We're paying too
much money for it. It's gotta be shady. It's gotta be easy to get into and it's gotta be
a good location. It did seem like they had lots of options. Yeah, it did. Okay, I'm gonna go in
the front and I will direct you where to go. I got the walkie-talkie on, so we're probably gonna
need it to get back into the site. Okay, 847 is what I'm looking for. 847. All right, baby. I'll
see you in a minute. All right, you're good. Just watch the Halloween decorations and trash can over
there. You gotta be careful. There's a little lantern right there. Your mirror. Just keep
coming straight back. You're okay to go straight back. You're gonna hit that trash can. Watch that.
Watch every other trash can. Baby, you're like two inches from that trash can. Just go straight back
for a bit. I'm purposely two inches. I'm fine. All right, now you can just come straight back.
Keep coming. Keep coming. Buddy, we made it here. We made it, man. Are you so excited, Axel?
Are you excited to be at Disney World? Come here, Axel. Come here. You can't run off, man.
Come here, bub. Good job backing in, babe. This was not the easiest of spots. I really thought you
were gonna hit that trash can. No, it was fine. I had the whole thing. You had two inches. I'm not
kidding. I know. I know exactly how much room I had. I know, but that was a little close for comfort.
No, two inches is still two inches away. Yeah, but that was cutting it close, babe. You had all
the people around here were scared. They were all watching you like, no way is this guy gonna make it.
They had no faith in you. They don't know you. It was a one turn. I didn't even have to do a
multi-point turn. That's true. Pretty straightforward. All right, let's get the hookups and everything
set up, and then we can relax finally. Let's do it. Chris is gonna get started with the hookups.
You can see this is one of the things Disney does is their pedestals look like tree stumps,
which I think is kind of cool. It's a nice touch that they do. Yeah, they are kind of cool. It's
all part of the magical experience. We're setting up our electric, water, and sewer. We always make
sure to book a campsite with 50 amp electric so we can run all three of our AC units. Especially
in the summer in Florida. Especially when it's 95 degrees like it is today. Remind me again why we
left Michigan? I don't know. For the swamp? Yeah, exactly. I don't know. It's a bad day to ask.
All right, we got electric. We got electric. Okay, I'm gonna go turn the AC on really quick while you
finish the rest. Okay. First thing, well we got the electric hookup, so we gotta hook the water up,
and we gotta hook up my fancy handy dandy Bluetech splitter and pressure reducer. Oh,
we got too much pressure here. And this little clippy thing, which is really cool.
Bluetech for the win with all their handy dandy stainless steel stuff and quick connect. It looks
a bit like we got a little science experiment going on out here, but it works really good.
It does kind of look like a science experiment. So grab the water here, and then plug it in.
We got, um, it's the other thing actually that we got from Bluetech that we have on everything
are these quick connects. So our end hoses are all quick connects, so we don't have to screw
anything off and on, which doesn't sound like that big of a deal, but when you unplug 20 things
every time you go somewhere. Makes a big difference. It does, and they're really just,
they're just nice and handy. So we've got them on everything. And not to mention the fact that
you permanently installed our water filter and softener and chi tank inside the coach. So now
all you have to do is plug the hose in and turn the water on. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. They got a ton
of water pressure here. That's really nice. Good and bad. Now you just need a pressure regulator.
Yeah. But at least in the coach we got lots of pressure. True. And last step, the stinky stuff.
The fun part. It's not stinky. It's not stinky. And then you just buy a new sewer hose.
I got this new, so yeah, these one and a half inch sewer hoses for the.
That's a big sewer hose. Well, no, it's still a one and a half inch hose, but
it's got a UV protectant cover on it. Let me see. It looks a lot bigger than the last one,
but it's just the UV cover. It's just this cover. Because every time we, it sits out in the sun
every time. And I'm, I gotta say. Oh, is that why it got a leak? Because the. I've always panicked
that they're going to crack. It did get a leak in the last one. Yeah. But again, I'm always panicked
that this thing is going to crack, which leads to a burst, which leads to something we don't
want to see. What was that movie? I think it was RV or something. RV. Robin Williams. Massive.
The poop explosion. Black tank explosion. That's what we try to avoid at all costs. You've already
had one of those in our life. I think that's probably enough. Yeah. Right. Every RV newbie
is going to have a black tank problem at some point. Fortunately, it's usually the gray tank,
not the black. We've never had a true black tank problem. All right. We're done. It's a good topic
for discussion. Yeah. Okay. All right. I'm going to go set up the inside. It's hot. Okay. Now that
Chris has got the outside set up, I'm going to get to work on setting up everything inside the inside.
We're going to be here for six nights. So it's long enough that I'm going to take out most of
our stuff, including some of our decorations. We've got our lawn chairs out and things like
that. So for extended stays that are over just a couple of days, we typically like to just take
everything out. That way it just feels more like home. You might be able to hear the AC is roaring
above me. It is so hot outside. I think it's, it says it's 93 right now. So all the ACs are
cranking on high and hoping it'll cool off in here. Luckily we did get a shady site, like I
was hoping for. So I made sure that I actually got a site that had a lot of trees and a lot of shade
for this week, just knowing that it was going to be really hot. Okay. So starting in the back of the
RV, I usually always start in the back just because I find that it's easier place to start.
Then I work my way up the rugs out here first, and then I can get the bed put down.
Perfect. Here we're going to do the same thing with this rug. Two rugs inside. Kind of a pain,
but just makes it feel homey inside. Okay. Everything on the inside is all set up. You can
see here what the inside of our RV looks like. I honestly still love the inside of our custom
design RV so much. I sometimes just have to pinch myself to think like we actually get to live in
this. My favorite part are these big seamless windows here in a place like this, where there's
lots of trees and it's a wooded private area. It's just so nice. Really love this setup.
And then in the back, we've got our bedroom, wardrobe on this side, and then our bed over here.
King size bed. So nice to be able to go to Disney World and sleep in your own bed. Seriously,
like that is one of the biggest perks about RV travel is sleeping in your own bed at night and
having all your own stuff. We've got our shower, got all my clothes hanging in the back, and then
the vanity. That's our dehumidifier right there because it is hot and humid here. So you definitely
need to run a dehumidifier. Go back this way and you can see just what a nice view and atmosphere
it is here at Fort Wilderness. If you have an RV and you've never been at Disney World, highly
recommend checking this place out because it really is a pretty magical experience for anyone
in an RV. All right, let's go see what Chris and Axel are doing. What are you two doing out here,
getting into some trouble? Oh, trying to relax, but it's kind of hot. It is really hot. Even in
the shade it's hot. I know, even in the shade it's just so humid. I just turned the dehumidifier on
inside because it's like even in the back my closet feels so humid back there. It's a good
way to make water. Axel's having fun. Axel, what are you doing, man? You like this place? You got a
little freedom? I can get a feel for what our site is like. We've got a lot of shade. Our site here
is 847. It's one of the perimeter sites, so we don't have anybody behind us. It's pretty private.
There's nobody here in this site right now. I'm sure somebody will probably be coming, but
it's a pretty good size spot and it wasn't too bad to back into. And then on this side we have
a good bit of shade and a good bit of privacy too with this palm tree here. We can fit the coach just
fine. The awnings are out. Gives us even more shade. The only thing I will say is our site's
a little bit sloped in the front, so our front tires were almost off the ground. Not quite,
but we do have a pretty big step there, so we had to get our extra step stool out. But other than
that, it's a pretty nice spot. What do you think? It is nice. It's quiet. Better than the last one we had?
Uh, no. Really? Well, shade wise it is. Yeah. But that was a nice location. It was a bigger spot.
But you told me you wanted this loop, so that's what I got us. I like this spot. I'm not complaining.
They're all smaller here in that sense, but the shade and the privacy is nice. Yeah. So are you
excited we're finally back at Disney World? Yes. I'll be more excited tomorrow. When we go to the
actual park. Yeah. Which park do you want to go to first? Since we got the park hopper we can go to
any of them. We'll go to all three in the first day. All four in the first day. Baby, we're not
going to go to all four parks in the first day. It's a park hopper. We could do that.
Okay. Which one are we going to start at? Magic Kingdom. All right. Magic Kingdom it is.
We'll go old school. And which character are you most excited to see? None of them. You don't care
about any of them? No. Where are we going? Why do you care about Disney? I don't know. I just do. I
like the park experience, and I like the people. Uh, people watching. And I just like crowds. It's
chaos. I like that. That's the part I don't like. Okay. Well, let's go relax after a long-ish
driving day. Okay. Sit in the AC and then. Yeah, it's hot. We'll get going to the park tomorrow.
Sounds good. So we're going to take you all along for the journey with us to show you what it's
like to go to Walt Disney World in an RV. Good morning. It is day two here on our Disney World
trip. We just arrived yesterday into Fort Wilderness. Today we're going to be going into
the park for the first time. We're going to head into Magic Kingdom first. We did get the park
hopper ticket so that way we can go to any parks that we want throughout the day. But we're going
to start off with Magic Kingdom. That's, you know, obviously the most prominent park to start at. And
then we might go to one of the other parks in the afternoon. And then we're definitely going to go
to Epcot for dinner because that is my favorite part of going to Disney is making sure that we
have good food on the trip. So I'll definitely be looking forward to Epcot tonight. Before we get
going we're going to take a minute to make some breakfast, get some food. One of the perks about
traveling in an RV is that you get to cook your own food so you can save a lot of money. And it
just makes it easier so that way when we get to the park we don't have to worry about it. Smells
good sweetie. What are you making? Just making you some eggs, some toast. Oh yum. Breakfast of champions
right? Oh yeah look at that. My favorite eggs too. I know I did. We finally found these heritage eggs.
These are my absolute favorite eggs. Found them at, where was it, Kroger I think? Kroger, yeah. One of those
stores. I think they were even on sale. Yeah I think they were actually which made my heart happy.
They're always like the orangest, goodest yolks. Axel, you're not getting anybody. This is seriously my
favorite part about coming to Disney World in an RV is just the fact that we can actually cook our
own meals and we don't have to eat out for every single meal. That's true. And what did we see this
morning right here? A turkey. A turkey and a deer. Axel almost took my leg off with his leash. He got
wrapped around me when he saw a turkey. They come right up here to the side of the coach. Yeah this
has been super nice though. So we just got this new griddle from E-Trailer. We had an induction
cooktop so that way we could cook outside but I really missed having a griddle like we had at our
RV lot in Michigan. So we just got this new one. Pretty cool. Runs off propane but made pretty good
eggs this morning. Yeah it's really simple to use. It is really simple. I like that it runs off the
small propane containers too. So we don't have propane in the coach so for us to haul around
propane I don't want to haul around one of those big white jugs of propane. So these little propane
anything that runs off these little propane things works great for us. Yeah especially since we don't
have propane in the coach these little tanks work really good. But having got this from E-Trailer
we were just looking at their website and honestly they have very quickly become our one-stop shop
for all things RVs. It's amazing the inventory of things that they have for any kind of RV product
you're looking for. Whether you're looking for camping gear like this griddle or the essentials
every RVer needs, things like sewer hoses, water filters, towing equipment, or even accessories to
make your life easier, E-Trailer has you covered. And what really sets E-Trailer apart from any other
online e-commerce site is that they're not just selling products. They have the expertise you need
to make sure you find the right product for you. They back it up with export advice, detailed
installation guides, and tons of real world info that make finding the right gear so much easier.
Most products even have videos and if you need a little extra help you can call and actually talk
to a real human here in the U.S. So if you're getting ready for your next RV adventure we would
highly recommend checking out e-trailer.com for all of your RV needs. All right baby, you ready to
eat? I'm ready, I'm hungry. Let's get to it so that way we can get to the park. All right. How'd I do
cooking on the griddle? They're really good. Trying to eat as fast as I can though. We get to the park.
I know, Chris is always actually bummed that I cook meals before in the RV because he just wants
to eat at Disney World. That is true. But we save so much money this way. And come on, the food is
better when I make it. The food is better but it has a magical quality to it when you eat it inside
Disney World. Is that true? Yeah. Look at Axel. Axel, buddy, I wish we could take you to Disney Man.
Axel gets to sit inside the RV today. He can't ride on the rides, he's too short. No, we did take him
to the dog park this morning though so he got to run around with some friends and got to hang out.
That's right, buddy. He's gonna have a good day napping now. Good job. He doesn't like the
humidity anyway so he'll sleep well. I don't either. We're aligned on that, buddy. Okay, especially time.
Disney time. Bye, buddy. Have fun. You be good, Ax. I always feel so bad leaving him. I do too, but
he has to stay. I wish he could come with. It's just a couple hours. Next time we got to get him set up with the
Disney dog place. We should. I think he's like Disney best friends or something like that.
It looks like a great time. In fact, I might want to spend some time there myself. Got a little swimming
pool, they let you watch TV. I know, but we never get him booked for that. It's currently Halloween time
here at Disney so you can see everybody's got their decorations out. It's the best time to come.
Well, maybe not the best time to come, but a great time to come. Yeah. Everybody's got all their
decorations out and Axel loves the decorations. Axel hates the decorations. I can't believe it's
time for Halloween already. Almost. A couple weeks. Yeah. We're like the only non-festive people here
with no Halloween decorations. Well, we turned our orange lights on last night. That's true. We did
turn our own orange coach lights on. They did look pretty cool. I love that we can actually set our
lights on the coach to any color we want now. But what would be even better is if you could set a
theme so then like now we could have do orange and purple or 4th of July we could have it do red,
white, and blue. That would be cool if it could cycle through colors like that. Yeah. Should tell
American Coach that. I'm sure we'll add it to the list of new features. Look at all these blow up
Halloween decorations. Good morning. Everybody's out cooking breakfast. This actually might be a
nice day. It's overcast. All the other days have been super sunny. It is, which is funny because you
don't normally look forward to an overcast day. No, but here it's been so freaking hot. Walking to catch
the boat over to Magic Kingdom from Fort Wilderness. So again, one of the really nice things about
staying at a Disney resort is that they provide all the transportation for free. So we just got
to walk down to the boat launch, take the boat, which is like a 10-minute boat ride or something,
and we get to hop right off at Magic Kingdom. No parking, nothing. I mean, it's great to be able to
walk everywhere and hardly have to use your vehicle once you're here. Yeah, it is nice. Just got
to walk a little bit. That's right. That's why I look like a tourist today, and I have my tennis shoes on,
and we'll do a lot of walking today. Probably like six, seven miles, I bet, by the time we're done
with it. Yeah, at least. I mean, it sounds like a lot, but I feel like we always do more closer
to eight to ten by the time, especially we have the park hopper pass. If we happen to hit two parks
in one day, we definitely would push eight to ten. And don't forget, dinner tonight at Epcot. My
favorite part. Oh, that's right. Dinner and drinks under the stars. Right. Maybe we'll see the fireworks.
If we can stay up that late. All right, so which ride are you most excited to ride at Magic Kingdom?
Any? It's going to sound really silly, but the Jungle Cruise. They redid the whole thing,
and last time we were here, we couldn't get on it. It was the one we couldn't do.
Oh, really? Yeah. So we are going to do Jungle Cruise as one of our first ones this morning.
My favorite is Space Mountain. When I was a kid, I came here with my parents and my oldest brother,
who was like four years older than me, was too scared to ride Space Mountain. But I loved it when
I was like five years old, and I rode it over and over again. You know, it's always been my favorite ride.
You know, what's funny is those Space Mountain, if you've never been on it, I'm sure you have,
but Space Mountain is just a blacked out roller coaster, so you're not supposed to see anything.
Well, I get kind of motion sick sometimes, so I actually close my eyes inside of Space Mountain.
So tell me that makes any sense at all. I got my eyes closed inside of a dark space. I don't know how you
get motion sick on that one. And then, I don't think we're going to do my favorite ride today.
It might be tomorrow, the next day, but Avatar is my absolute favorite ride. Avatar, I also close my eyes on.
Avatar is the coolest ride in the world, because it truly feels like you're on the back of an
Avatar and you're flying. It is such like a thrilling experience. It's worth the two-hour wait.
I love the thrill. I can't, the motion gets me. That's another one. I just kept to close my eyes.
Oh man, it's hot. I'm sweating already. I know, it is. The sun's starting to peak out just a little bit.
And we haven't even gotten to the park yet. There's a lot of cool things about Fort Wilderness.
So they have a beach area, which is actually kind of silly, because it's got alligators, so you can't
go swimming. They do have this nice beach area where you can sit and hang out, and then this
is the boat launch here. Oh look, they got the alligators fenced off now. Oh, look at that.
Last time we were here, those weren't there. So somebody, somebody must have got eaten.
I think they actually did, so. No, seriously? Yeah, no, seriously. All right, well the good
news is the boat hasn't come yet, so we haven't missed it. I wonder how long we have to wait.
Well, I don't know how often this boat comes, every 30 minutes or something.
Look at the big bird. Is that an egret? I think so. Is that a fake Disney bird or a real bird?
Should I get close and see? Go ahead. Go say good morning. And like they're building a new hotel
over here or something. I don't know what that is. It's definitely a new hotel or an extension
to some other hotel. Something going in. Right on the water. Pretty nice. Let the lines begin.
My favorite part of Disney World, waiting in lots of long lines. Wouldn't you rather be at
like a national park right now instead of an amusement park? Waiting in a long line at a
national park? No. It's not long. Well, sometimes. We have had some. We have had some, but we typically
avoid the lines at national parks. I love natural parks until you get into a situation where you're
just traipsing down a trail behind 17 other people. True, but at least it's natural beauty,
unlike this, which is just man-made swamp. No, no, no, it's man-made reclaimed swamps. Whatever.
Oh, here comes the boat. Get over there. There it comes. She pretends not to be excited, but look
how excited she got when she saw the boat was coming. Yeah, because it means shade and air
conditioning are coming soon. Oh, okay. Thank you. Thank you. Pass holder or guest entrance? Which
one are we? Guest. Okay. You won't let me get a pass. I need my phone on the side pocket there.
Hello. I missed you though.
Thank you. We're fingerprinted. We're in. We're officially in Magic Kingdom.
Ball in Disney World. Although it doesn't feel like ball. No, it doesn't feel like ball,
but it certainly looks like it. Good thing it's not crowded. Okay, we're just walking
into Magic Kingdom, and I swear you said this was like the low downtime of year, the best
non-crowded time to come, and holy cow, it is still packed. It is, but it's not as bad as normal.
You can see the pavement. That's true. I guess last time we were here, we accidentally came during
spring break. Don't ever do that. That was insane. That was horrible. A short line was 45 minutes.
There's a Cinderella castle. Do you think Cinderella's in today? I don't know. I don't
think so. I don't think she's working on Mondays or whatever day it is today. One of these days,
we're gonna have to do that dinner in the castle. I don't. It'd be cool if they still do it. I think
they do. Yeah. All right, why don't we go try to ride Space Mountain while it's still early
and see if there's a shorter line than there will be this afternoon. Let's do it. Space Mountain,
here we come. Okay, slight change of plans. Space Mountain was too long of a line, so we're gonna
start with Jungle Cruise because it only had 20 minutes. I tried to get Chris to buy lightning
passes yesterday, and he was like, oh no, we don't need them. The lines are all short. There's
no crowds here. Yesterday, yesterday the lines were 15 minutes. I told you we were gonna need
them. It's a Saturday. Well, it'll get better. I don't think so. Well, right on the scene. I think
you can always rent your own boat there. We got our standard or the deluxe paddle package, but it's
either or.
Okay, so now it's time to do Space Mountain. While we were in line at Jungle Cruise, Chris
went ahead and got us a lightning pass to Space Mountain, so that way we don't have to wait at all.
That's right. So we're walking up now and shouldn't have to wait more than, what, five minutes?
Yeah, no, we can walk right up, so we don't have to wait any time at all. This is my way
to do Disney World. We're gonna go to the right. Okay, so there's the standby wait time, and now here's
the lightning lane that we don't have to wait for. Into the dark.
You ready for the ride? You're not gonna get sick on me? I'm gonna close my eyes.
We got to skip that whole 40-minute line. We get to go right to the front of the line. We only have,
what, maybe 20-30 people ahead of us? Much faster. Should be pretty quick. There we go, babe.
There we go. Ready? All systems go. All systems go. Ready for launch. Ready for launch.
How'd you do, babe?
Oh, that was really fun. You okay, baby? No? Unfortunately, Chris isn't feeling too good
after Space Mountain. I'm fine. I don't know why you always ride those rides when they make you
kind of sick. Because you like to ride them. Thank you for sacrificing your health for me.
Just part-time health. Temporary health setback. All right, now can we please go get a pretzel,
finally? Let's go. All right, I'm gonna get a Mickey-shaped pretzel. What are you gonna get?
You gonna get a hot dog? Hot dog or sticky bubbly bread? Sweet bread rolled in cinnamon, caramel,
and warm spices. Right? Sounds pretty good. Sounds pretty good. I can't find my wallet.
Hello. What? It's in there. Can I get a pretzel and a sticky bubbly bread? Thank you.
That looks good. Does look good.
This makes all of the lines and chaos and heat worth it. My first bite of a Mickey pretzel.
Good? Everything you remembered it being?
How much did we pay for this? About $4,700. I think it was like 15-20 bucks for these two
things. Probably, yeah. It's crazy. Worth it, though. Plus the tickets to get in.
But you can't put a price on this magical experience. No, it is magical. Magical pretzel.
All right, we are just about to leave Magic Kingdom, but before we leave, we found a place
to get a Mickey Mouse ice cream, which Chris wanted to get to make me happy. Right before
the exit. It's perfect timing. That's right. We also did a little bit of shopping. I got a new hat
to keep my son protected from the sun. To keep my head protected from the sun. I knew that didn't
sound right. Your son protected from your head. I got some Disney souvenir to remember it by.
That's right. I got the memories. All right, can I get a number one and a number two, please?
This is the winning ticket to cool off for a little bit. Fort Wilderness, right?
Yeah. Thank you. Time to get back on the boat. At least this time I have ice cream, though.
You got 15 minutes left of morning. Okay. It's already starting to melt. It's hot out here.
Welcome aboard. For your safety. That is worth it. Is it good as you remember? That is. It's worth the
Don't spill on your white shirt. Now relax and enjoy your cruise.
Making the long journey back to our campsite. It's actually not that long. It's not that long.
It just feels like it's long after walking five miles in the park. That's true. I have to say one
of my favorite things about traveling in an RV is that while everybody else at Disney is going back
to their crappy hotel room where they only have a suitcase full of whatever they packed and it's
not very homey, we actually get to go back to our home where we've got all of our stuff, all of our
food, a full kitchen to make food, and most importantly Axel. That's right. The fact that we can take our
dog to Disney World is pretty awesome. I think it's better that we can take our house to Disney
World and our dog just happens to be coming with. Yeah, good point. It does make it nice though when
you get to travel with your entire home. It is. It's very nice. Very comfortable feeling. We finally
made it back to Molly. Tucked away in the trees. It's actually a pretty good spot honestly. It is.
It's a great spot. Let's see what Axel's doing. Axel, come here buddy. Axel, come see mom. Come here.
Axel, oh there you are buddy. There's my happy boy. He's always got to go say hi to dad
first. Come here Axel. Come here. Can I get a kiss? No, he's got to go scratch first.
Come here bud. Should we wake you up Axel? He must have woken somebody up. Come here bud. You got an itch?
You want mom to get it? Come here. Come here. Come on buddy. Can we go potty back here? Come on. Hey, let's go
potty. Come on. Nice thing about this campsite too is that we don't back up to the middle. We're on the
back side here in the perimeter so there's nothing behind us, or I should say there's no one behind
us except for wild turkeys in the morning, which we learned the hard way this morning. That's right.
It is nice though. It's very private back here. All right buddy, you want a treat for being such a good
boy? Come on. Let's go back inside the RV. Every time we leave, whenever we come back, we always
give him a treat so that way he knows anytime we come home. He's gonna get more spoiled. He's gonna
get more and more spoiled. He knows too. Can you sit? Can you sit? All right, hang on. Let me turn the lights
on real quick. Hang on buddy. All right, let's get you a treat. Come on. He knows exactly what's coming.
Uh-uh. We sit. You sit. Axel, where are your manners? Gentle. Good boy. You're such a good puppy.
Okay. Okay. Always gotta love on dad. Attack the camera. Go get dad. Where's dad? Go get him.
Give him a love. Nice way. You happy? We're home buddy. Are you happy? Now you can actually relax.
I don't know about you babe, but I think I'm gonna take one of five showers today. I could go for a
shower. Take a quick shower, relax for a couple hours, and then on to Epcot tonight. Yep, that's
right. Maybe we'll take Axel to the dog park for a little bit. Maybe after a shower. Yeah, for sure.
All right, we need to get a Disney card for tonight so that way we can actually get back
in here. That's good thinking. And just need to get shoes on. I think we're ready to head to Epcot.
I got everything I need. All right, so we're gonna drive there, right? Instead of taking the bus.
I think they have parking there. Oh, they did. I think we did that once before.
It's just a little easier than Epcot. Epcot's a little too awkward to get to for us. Okay,
I think we're ready. Axel, you be a good puppy buddy. I love you. Be a good boy. I always feel
so bad leaving Axel. He loves it. I've already told you that. He's napping inside, but I still
feel kind of guilty leaving him. He likes to sleep. Not too bad of a drive. It's only 10 minutes away.
It is a lot faster than having to walk all the way to the bus. The bus takes us all the way down
to the main bus stop and then take that bus to Epcot. That's a problem. We gotta take two buses
really to get to Epcot. The boat's a lot faster to Magic Kingdom. Yeah, Epcot is a bit of a hassle
to get to for some reason, but it's easy to get to. You don't have to drive if you don't want to.
I also feel like the buses don't come quite as often going to Epcot from here for whatever
reason. Probably because all the kids don't go to Epcot. Okay, we parked by Dory 406.
Don't forget that. Dory 406. Where do we have to walk to? 100 miles? That's a long ways, baby.
Yeah, we should have taken the bus. I thought this was gonna be faster and it turned out to
be like the worst idea ever. You don't like having electronic badges? I don't. I like having
just a plastic card because you can put it in your wallet. You can forget about it. This, you
gotta make sure it's charged. You gotta hold it out. I gotta get rid of the password. It's also
coming from the guy that loved having a paper airline ticket until about a year ago and you
finally got on board at the end. I still prefer the paper. Then go green and do it again. Oh,
thank you. Ready for Epcot? Let's do it. There it is. There's the Epcot ball. What's that actually
called? Do you know? Discovery Earth, I think. Yeah, Discovery Earth. That must have been such
a cool thing when it was first built. Land of Tomorrow or something. It's under construction.
I don't think we can go in it. There was a lot of construction going on last time we were here. I
wonder if they finished any of it. Okay, so we just got to the World Showcase part of Epcot.
Currently walking around the world. I think we're in the U.S. right now which is kind of
boring considering we actually are in the U.S. Well, we just passed a Hawaiian food station.
Looked pretty good. But we can't stop at the very first station we find because there's gonna be
lots of good food tonight. So we're gonna eat around the world and see what kind of good food
we can find. Canada's coming up next so we'll stop at Canada. What do you think they have in Canada?
I bet maple syrup. Maple syrup and steaks.
Feels busy again here. It is. It does feel busy here. Canada, there's Canada. What do you think
they have? Let's go look at the menu. It's something maple-y. We had it last time if it's
the same thing. Cheddar and bacon soup. I told you it was a steak. Is it? Filet mignon. All right,
we got cheddar and bacon soup and filet with mushrooms and mashed potatoes. Keep walking. All
right, let's keep walking. I don't think it's a place to get a filet. No, I don't think so either.
I don't think mass-produced filet mignon is ever the way to go. No. Let's get something more unique.
One of the things I love about Disney World is all the how everything is like matches perfectly.
We're in Morocco right now and it actually feels like you're in Morocco. Or at least Disney's
version of Morocco. Disney's version of Morocco. The highlights of Morocco. The tourist part. We're
gonna try Japan first. Are we going with the teriyaki chicken bun or the Asakana Courage? I
have no idea how to say that. Which one are you gonna get? We'll go with the teriyaki chicken bun.
Steamed bun sounds good. What? Steamed bun sounds pretty good. It's pretty over here at night. Sun
setting over the Epsom ball. Hello, can I get a teriyaki chicken bun and a peachy mango boba.
That's it. I was hoping you'd get the boba. I was hoping you'd get that. Thank you. Thank you.
Thank you. Thank you. You too. See if this is gonna be any good.
How are you supposed to get the bobas at the bottom if there's no straw?
All right, first bite. It's good. It's very sticky. I feel like it's all stuck in my teeth.
There's Italy. You can see St. Mark's Square there. The real thing's a lot better, but
a little bit. I like the Disney version too. It's a pretty cool one.
They gotta have some kind of good Italian food here, huh? You would think, but I don't think
they have anything open. They must. They must have something. Oh, here it is. Let's go see.
We got pizza dough.
What do you think? You want anything or no? It looks like that over there.
No, it's too long. Let's keep looking. It's a pizza dough. It's too long for pizza dough.
Okay, so we got a little bit from Mexico here, and then we also got some shrimp from Australia.
I'm not sure the two really go together. No, yeah, they'll go together. The Mexican
food looks pretty good actually. Tostada, flauta. Should be good. Yeah.
So how was it going around the world tonight? It was good. We did go entirely around the world.
It was fun. We did. We ate at a couple different places. That's right. Although it didn't seem like
the food was quite as good as last time we were here. The options just didn't seem as
interesting. No, they weren't quite as good. And bless the crowds. It's really busy here. It's
funny because we were at Magic Kingdom this morning. Magic Kingdom didn't feel that crowded
compared to here. It's packed right now. Yeah, this is supposed to be the off time of year,
but it's definitely not the off time this evening. I think it's because it's a Saturday night. I don't
know. A lot of season pass holders might come here for dinner. Could be, yeah. I don't know,
but it's a little too busy for me. Really? We need to get back to the overview with you and Axel.
They'll be happy to have us back. That's right. He will.
