Fairy Garden Tree Log House No.13 Money Box Cardboard and Plastic Bottle DIY Craft Ideas

Sharing new DIY craft idea to make fairy garden log house which can be used as money box or coin box. Yeah..fairy village has a little bank now where all the fairies can put their money in these tree log house with strong brick wall and roof at the entrance. Again, that was my imagination. LOL

To make this easy fairy house, I use plastic bottle, cardboard, old magazine, packing tapes, hot glue gun and clay paste. I don't use aluminium foil for this craft project.

Clay paste I mentioned here is actually texture paste which I have published the video few weeks ago (Link: • Homemade Texture Paste with 3 Ingredients,... ) but I've added more plaster of paris (POP) to make something like peanut butter texture.

Alternatively, you can use air dry clay (any type/ brand), add water until it is soft and can be spread on the cardboard surface with pallet knife.

This is also the best opportunity to make use of your homemade clay (link: • Best Homemade Clay Recipe (Retake) ) if you have made it too soft.

Before I cover the cardboard with soft clay, I cover the surface with kitchen towel and glue. Something like we do when doing paper mache craft.

By the way, be careful with your hot glue gun. Make sure it will not touch the plastic bottle otherwise it will melt. I almost ruin my plastic bottle but luckily I can safe it.

So, use packing tapes if you want to paste anything on to the bottle. And use hot glue gun only for cardboard or old magazine.
