Drambuie is one of my favorite liqueurs, and I'm determined to work in into as many cocktail recipes as possible. This love child of an old fashioned and a sazerac is the perfect vehicle, and I'm calling it an Old Sazerac.

The Sazerac tendencies of this cocktail are in flavor and name, and not at all in spec. This is absent absinthe, and has no trace of cognac. What it does have is the delectable Montenegro amaro, and Luxardo Apricot Liqueur.

Fee Brothers Almond Bitters are the star of this show... and they're hard to come by. If you need to sub out, try walnut bitters.

OLD SAZERAC
2oz Rye Whiskey
1oz Drambuie
.50 oz Montenegro
.25 oz Apricot Liqueur
(optional) barspoon luxardo cherry syrup

Stir down over ice, serve up in a coupe, or over a large rock. Garnish with a luxardo cherry.

Cheers, friends!!
