Abandoned Firebirds and a VW Beetle sit hidden deep in the forest at the end of an overgrown driveway. In this video, I follow an old access road into dense woods to uncover forgotten cars and a mysterious structure.
This site was first spotted on Google Maps, where the outline of a long, overgrown driveway leading into the woods was still visible from above. On the ground, the signs are unmistakable.
The forest itself is unusual. Tall trees tower overhead, but the forest floor is buried under a dense, chest-high layer of broad-leaf plants, making it impossible to see where you’re stepping in summer. Closer to the ruins, that vegetation gives way to a tangled maze of thick vines running in every direction.
The walk in was slow and exhausting, navigating fallen trees, deep growth, and using phone navigation to stay on course.
At the end of the old driveway sits an abandoned barn or garage structure, with no house anywhere nearby. Scattered and partially buried in the vegetation are two Firebirds, a VW Beetle, and other vehicles left in extreme isolation for decades.
This video also marks the premiere of my brand new 2026 video intro.
In today's video, we discover what looks
to be a very old and overgrown
mysterious driveway that leads deep into
a forested area. This Google Maps
discovery by my friend Ground State
Photography shows what was once a very
long driveway that leads to a mysterious
structure in the woods.
This small hidden plot of land in a deep
forest hides some very special surprises
that I am very excited to see with my
own eyes and capture here for you.
Okay, guys. So, here we go. As you heard
in the intro, I am in search of a bunch
of abandoned cars and firebirds
out here in the woods.
So, I know it's back here somewhere, but
I don't know exactly where.
And so, when I pulled by with my car,
I'm looking at the woods around here,
and I'm trying to see what makes the
most sense of what might have once been
a driveway. And it looks like this right
here, cuz you've got trees on each side
and what looks like a driveway here. So,
can't see anything underneath here.
And I don't know how long of a walk
it'll be to get there. But I'm walking
through some pretty thick brush here.
But I think I'm on the right path
because this looks like it would have at
one point been a driveway. So, I'm not
going to film the whole way in
cuz that would just be boring. So, this
will be a short one, but hopefully,
guys, I'm able to find these cars
because they're really cool. And it's
really cool to find really old cars,
especially sports cars, out in the
middle of a forested area like this. So,
let's go.
To most people, this is just a forested
area off a remote. But to those who know
what to look for, this has all the signs
of a very old and overgrown driveway
that potentially leads to something
interesting.
Before I head in, I douseed myself with
bug spray, but that did very little to
protect me.
The walk-in was exhausting with weeds up
to my hips at times, navigating and
climbing over fallen tree trunks, trying
to keep my bearings, and unsuccessfully
trying to keep my feet dry. I used my
phone's navigation to keep me on track
and headed towards this mysterious
structure in the woods. After what
seemed like forever,
I finally arrived.
Okay, guys. I think we are on to
something here. Here we are. I found
them. Here's the building.
There are some cars over here. So, here
we go, guys. Now, it's just a matter of
digging until we find what we're looking
for.
Okay.
All right. So, here we got a little
garage.
There is a pool ladder. tells me that at
one point when whatever was going on
back here, they had a pool.
And
here's some other stuff. There's some
furniture in here.
Really should have brought myself some
water.
Have some speakers here. A whole bunch
of them.
Beer bottles.
There's some water. It looks like those
are might be water skis.
And then there's a boat right here. Look
at how sunken this boat is
into the mud. That's how long this has
been here from years and years of
blowing and rain and mud and time and
weight that this boat has just sunken
that deep into the ground. That's a cool
looking boat though.
Oh,
couple tractors there.
All of this overgrowth makes it really
hard to see if there's anything, but I
know that I've saw a couple of cars when
I first got in. So, had a big tree
there. That's the garage we were just
at.
All right. So, there's something here
flattening.
Can't even make out what it could be. Or
this is just a pile of crap. Not even a
car. There's one right there.
I'll get a little closer.
You can't even see.
There you go.
Something tells me there might have once
been a car right here beside this one.
I'm going to have to look at the
pictures that I've seen from my good
friend ground state. He was here and he
took pictures of the cars that were
here. So, there might have been one
something here because it looks like the
way that everything's growing and then
there's like this void right here. Maybe
there was one here. There's a fire bird
back here somewhere. Hopefully, it's
still here. Oh, there's a blind back
here.
What's the best way to get to it? There
you go.
Obviously not for use right now when
everything's so grown in, but there's
somebody's blind for hunting.
Painted camouflage.
Okay, so I just looked at ground states
pictures and the Firebird is beside a
building. So it's probably on the other
side of that garage over there. So
hopefully that's where it is. I see
something right here, too. I think I see
a a beetle or something like a VW. I
didn't see that on the way here.
Man, these things are so well hidden.
Let's see what this is.
Really wish I brought water with me.
Something maybe it's like a gremlin or
something. Can't tell.
This little thing, eh.
That's a cool little car back here.
I didn't even see it. I'm walking by.
There's a look inside there.
This is the part of the video where I
would usually narrate something
interesting about history and what this
place was used for and then add in some
AI generated mumbo jumbo about
resilience and haunting timeless beauty.
But instead, let's just enjoy the
silence and the visuals.
Okay, guys. So, I'm on this side of the
of the garage here, and I don't see
anything over here. So, maybe on the
back. So, I'm going to go around the
back way because there's another
building over here.
So hopefully the Firebird is still there
because that's what I wanted to come and
see because that's kind of the draw,
right? Look at there's some bikes here
and skis.
All kinds of stuff just stored away back
here. Have I mentioned how thirsty I am?
Okay, guys. We're going to go on the
other side. Let's go. Okay, it's pretty
thick back here. Oh, man.
So, we have this building right here.
Probably nothing to it, but we'll go
have a look anyways since we're here.
Yeah, just as I thought.
Nothing.
But we're going to Oh, I see a car
behind it. I think the firebird's still
here. I see a car, guys. I see it.
Okay,
guys. I can't get to it. There's too
much weeds.
Okay, guys. This is the Trans Am and the
Firebirds over there on the other side.
So, we're going to check out the Trans
Am here first.
As as much as of as much of it as we can
see. We can see inside here now, though.
All right.
All right, guys. Here it is. Firebird.
I'm sorry. Trans Am, I think.
That's an old car.
Totally just buried here. I am
definitely going to get some kind of a
contact dermatitis on my arms after
walking through all this and sweating so
much.
Okay, let's get over here a little bit.
Bit of a different angle. And then we're
probably going to get out of here
because I'm so itchy. I got to get out
of here. That's a good angle though of
the car right there.
So, there definitely would have been a
house back here at one point, but the
house is long gone, as is the driveway.
All right.
Looks like there's a little bit more of
a trail here to get around instead of
going through so much to get to the last
car.
There it is. Yes.
Not so hard to see. That's a welcome
sight. Wow. Look at this, guys. Okay,
that is a super super cool find.
Massive thanks to my good friend
Groundstate. He found this so long ago
and I've always wanted to come here, but
I've never really like taken the time to
drive out here to this spot, but today I
finally did. I'm so glad I did because
this is a really cool find. So, thanks,
buddy. All right, let's see if we can
get a look inside. If the door will even
open. I don't know. Door handle's
broken. So, we're not going to get in
this side. Maybe the other door will
open.
I don't have my hopes up, guys. Ow.
Yep. There we go. Ah, there we go.
There you go. Hey, how many dudes went
for a cruise in this car? Had a good
time, eh, with their eight track. Or is
that a cassette player? That's a
cassette player.
Wow. It smells like an old car, too.
All right, guys. Well,
this is what I came here for. Firebirds.
I think I mis misidentified that as a
Thunderbird. I think they're both
Firebirds. Anyways, I'm not a car guy
and I don't know nothing about cars. So,
correct me all you want. I don't even
care. Anyways, this is why I'm here.
Again, thanks to my good friend Ground
State for finding this many years ago
and I'm finally here and happy to get
here. So, hope you guys have enjoyed
this one. This has been really fun.
Super super cool explore. Hope you guys
like the old cars. Not the abandoned
houses that I usually do, but this is
something totally different. So, that's
it guys. I got a long walk back and I
need to get me some Gatorade or some
water or something. So, thanks for
watching, guys. Please make this whole
trek and all this sweating and contact
dermatitis and dehydration worth it. Hit
