Jennifer Lawrence is the actress we always look out for on the red carpet. Not only for her stunning choice of gown but because of her clumsy antics, her photobombing opportunities and her wonderfully honest comments. There's something quite magical about Jen. I find her to be one of the most instinctual people. There's something very intuitive about her as an actress. And I always enjoy her performances. Jennifer Lawrence is the highest grossing actress in her favourite film series and bestseller, The Hunger Games. And at the tender age of 22, she received an Academy Award for Best Actress in Lead Role in Silver Linings Playbook. Jennifer Lawrence, yeah. Yeah, she's alright. She's okay. You know, she's coming along. You know what I mean? She's the best. You just get the feeling, yeah. Once she kind of gets on a roll, she needs to kind of... But don't get me wrong, she's doing great. She's unbelievable. That woman is unbelievable. I love her. Jennifer Lawrence has come a long way from her family home on a horse farm in Kentucky. Little did she know that her big break would come at the age of 14 in New York City when a stranger asked to take her picture and invited her for a screen test. Literally, immediately after I left here, she texted me just to see how I was because she saw me on a billboard. Did you text her back? Immediately. I don't text anyone. I don't text anyone but Jane. Well, yeah. I mean, look, when you look at it on the outside, it looks like a great picture. She's one of my best friends. I love her. But if we had a kissing scene, she would make a point of eating garlic or tuna fish. But Jennifer Lawrence is a very different kind of celebrity. During the London premiere of The Hunger Games' Catching Fire, Jennifer abruptly stopped an interview to embrace a crying fan in the crowd until she felt better. Jennifer told me her one rule for herself was not to annoy you. She failed. So annoying. No, who's annoying is Jonah. Oh, I'm going to get him, I'm going to get him. No, I love him, but he did make me laugh and I don't have a lot of control. Falling on stage when you're going to collect an Oscar for Best Actress has to be the most embarrassing thing to happen to any human. But when you're Jennifer Lawrence, laughing it off and laughing at yourself is the only way to get through it and come out on top. Do you know how much like a married couple you guys are? No. We bicker all the time and we don't have sex. Just like a married couple. Seriously, I mean, are you kind of secretly married or something? No. Not even close. I haven't seen her in months. Having a good appetite and enjoying food is not a recognizable celebrity trait. Staying in shape and working out is an A-lister's daily ritual. So we could not believe it when Jennifer Lawrence said, eating is one of my favorite parts of the day. She's got an incredible wit. Man, is she funny. But you know those kind of people who can just start saying things to you and once you start laughing, then they just keep coming and keep making you laugh more. She's one of those types. Jennifer has spoken about the pressures on Hollywood actresses to be thin and in the past she has been encouraged by producers to lose weight. She said, I'm old enough to be Jennifer's dad. I mean, you know, I turn 40 next year. And she played it so well with an issue, you know, a woman clearly with these sort of, you know, father issues. And so you don't question it. I was very impressed with her, how she managed to overcome the problems that I saw. Like all normal human beings who would love to have their blemishes hidden, Oh my God. I haven't seen this. That doesn't look like me at all. I love Photoshop more than anything in the world. Of course, it's Photoshop. People don't look like that. It was immediate, this connection that we had. Like from the chemistry read, first day, it was like, oh, we might be friends. And then by the end it was like, oh, we're best friends. Like we are really important to each other. And we still, we talk all the time. So yeah, I think we just connected very easily. There's something very kindred about the two of us. For someone so young, Jennifer Lawrence has certainly clued up about a lot of things and isn't afraid to voice her views. Speaking about the stigma surrounding mental illness for her role in the Silver Linings playbook, she said, I don't think we are going to stop until we get rid of stigma of mental illness. Before the scene, she'd be like, yeah, I had tuna, I had garlic and I didn't brush my teeth. Doesn't make you want to get in there and taste it. Having won an Oscar at the age of 22 is a testament to her true hard work and dedication. Her direct approach to acting has definitely got her where she is today. Despite auditioning twice for her role in Winter's Bone, the casting producer and director said she wasn't right for the role. She's the worst. No, when she walks into a room, there's not a person in the room that doesn't know. She's got... She glows. She does, she glows. And she's got a very intoxicating personality and it's just fun to be around. If it's not gifs of her faces on the wet carpet, then it's her awkward conversational topics during primetime television or playful slapping in a Watson at a press event. She was just instantly pulling me in and wanting to get to know me. And like, that is exactly the way to my heart is like, let's tell each other everything about ourselves. The truth is we love her because she's not perfect. And as mere mortals, we enjoy an oddball in Hollywood. Gone are the days of guarded, sensible celebrities. It's time for evolution in Hollywood.
