They've rolled out the red carpet
for Hollywood's hottest stars.
And they're finalizing that A-list seating chart.
Is that Emma Stone sitting next to Orlando Bloom?
And Julia Roberts sandwiched
between Pamela Anderson and Kate Hudson?
We were so close.
The countdown to Hollywood's party of the year
is ticking away, and Nikki can't wait.
There's a couple jokes in there that I'm like,
oh, these are like some of my favorite jokes
I've ever written, so I'm like excited for those.
She just has to put the finishing touches
on her A-list roast.
Right now, I'm still in that stage of like,
okay, was this joke or this joke,
or like we haven't really mastered the opening
or the close, like it's still kind of all up in the air,
and I'm really looking forward to that moment
when the doors open, and I'm like,
yes, I get to do this one last time.
She's been road testing her monologue this week
at comedy shows in L.A.,
and discovering that not every joke can be a winner.
Oh, so much doesn't land.
I mean, you get feedback right away of like,
oh, no one's even heard of that,
or no one even knows that Pretty Woman reference.
That joke, if I did it, would be a big mistake.
Huge, huge.
Did you get that reference?
Because most people don't.
Okay, so she was planning on going after Julia,
but do all the stars need to worry about getting burned?
She's here tonight with her new fiance, Benny Blanco.
I knew it.
Yes, and Benny Blanco is here because of the genie
who granted him that wish.
Man, lucky guy.
I feel like last year, I really proved to them
how hard I go, and it's not that hard,
so everyone can relax.
This feels like I finally made it.
You know, I'm in a room full of producers
at the Beverly Hilton Hotel,
and this time, all of my clothes are on,
so yeah, it was worth it.
And not be like, oh, is she gonna do me next?
I feel like every time I do a joke about someone,
then they can relax and have a good time and start laughing,
but until then, they're just kind of like, ugh,
but I just want everyone to feel comfortable.
Mickey will look good, but she won't be comfortable
in her drop-dead fashion.
So just how many in-show changes are we getting this time?
Like nine looks, just like the most glittery,
gorgeous gowns ever.
Now what about the menu?
Michelin star Nobuo Masuhisa
is delivering his signature seafood dishes,
sushi and black cod,
and he'll be keeping an eye on all the stars
while they nosh.
Mm, and smiling, so laughing, you know.
Glenn Weiss is the Globe's executive producer,
director, and showrunner,
and he dropped a little show secret surprise.
There might be one or two people
that you didn't see in a release this morning
that might show up.
And if that doesn't sell you on tuning in,
try this on for size.
The mingling, the drinking, the hanging out or whatever
makes this just a fun environment to be at.
We're at a party.
The party of the year, Sunday night on CBS.
Excited to be done.
That's what I do everything for is for it to be over
and then I get to be like, I did it!
