A Sculptural Concrete House Inspired by Donald Judd & Richard Serra

Inspired by the minimalist works of Donald Judd and Richard Serra, Gottlieb House is a sculptural concrete and steel residence that blurs the boundary between art and architecture. Composed of intersecting volumes with no defined front or back, the house presents itself as an abstract object set within a garden. Dramatic light, raw materiality, and spatial sequencing define the experience, from the monumental concrete cylinder at the entry to the light-filled entertaining spaces and cave-like private rooms. Both interior and exterior materials weather naturally over time, reinforcing the house as a living sculpture within its suburban context.
