“Design the Most Beautiful House on the Block,” They Said

Villa CG was created for a street already filled with architect-designed homes.

Instead of competing with an extravagant shape, the house uses a simple contrast. From the street, it appears symmetrical, dark, and private. A solid brick core protects the entrance and the more private parts of daily life, while two transparent glass wings reveal the kitchen, dining area, and home office.

Toward the garden, the entire character of the house changes. Floor-to-ceiling glass opens the living spaces to a covered terrace, while the long white roof visually connects the interior, outdoor areas, and landscape.

Inside, walnut-clad built-ins organize storage, circulation, a double-sided fireplace, and a flexible guest room without filling the floor plan with walls. Upstairs, the bedrooms remain protected from the street and open only toward the private garden.

Villa CG is a house with two completely different faces: solid and reserved from the front, light and transparent from the back.
