Frosty eyeshadow, rosy winter cheeks, and glossy lips.
It looks like how you might look after going out into the cold and feeling the chilly air outside.
Now it's winter, and today I will show you how to get this winter flush makeup look.
If you have a natural-born flush, well, you're lucky.
But if you don't, I will teach you how to create the look in a natural way.
Then let's get started!
Since this is the makeup look for winter,
I'm going to start by moisturizing and priming my face at the same time
to get a better application of the face makeup product I'm going to use after.
First, I'm going to use a hydrating primer.
Unlike other primers that contain a silky formula and shimmers,
the formula of this product is like a gel moisturizer.
It glides onto your skin smoothly.
Once you apply the product, I could feel that my skin is more plump.
So it becomes well prepared for the next product.
Next, we are going to use a new face makeup product.
If you've ever heard of BB cream,
this is the next generation called Barrier Beauty Balm from Dr. Jart.
I recently discovered this product and am obsessed with it.
It's more like a tinted moisturizer,
and you could see that you can hardly notice that I'm applying the product onto my face.
It evens out my face naturally,
and gives me that sheen glow with moisturized ingredients.
So I love it enhances my complexion,
and I would highly recommend for no foundation team.
Next, I'm going to cover the area where more coverage is needed
with my all-time favorite concealer from Red Beauty.
Since the tinted moisturizer has a light coverage,
it couldn't cover my under eye dark circles,
hyperpigmentation, or some red spots.
For the under eye area, to the most thin layer of the product possible,
I'm going to apply with a concealer brush.
After putting a small amount of the product on the back of my hands,
I'm going to blend it with the brush.
And then I'm going to lightly apply onto the under eye area,
and a bit in the inner corner of my eyes.
Since this look is all about blush,
it is important to even out the skin tone to make the blush stand out.
The area under my nose is also a bit uneven and red,
so I'm going to cover it lightly as well.
Next, you could see there's some hyperpigmentation on my side forehead,
so I'm going to cover that too.
At this stage, I'm going to take a smaller brush
and use the leftover product on the side of the bottle.
You might wonder why I take the product from there,
and let me explain.
For makeup products, high coverage normally comes from the consistency.
If the concealer dries, we can get more coverage.
And normally the product left on the sides is thick and a bit dry,
so I like taking it for higher coverage.
I will take it and apply it onto some hyperpigmentations,
and let it dry for one or two minutes.
After that, I'm going to remove any excess concealer on the brush with a cotton pad.
With a clean brush, I'm going to blend the edges carefully.
Then you could see perfectly covered and blended, so it looks natural.
Now I have a clean natural base for color makeup.
Since the main part of today's makeup is blush, I'm going to start with blush.
This is a muted rose shade blush,
and once you blend it in, it becomes more muted,
so it's perfect for a natural flush look.
Speaking of blush tone,
please do not go below the nose to avoid an unflattering look.
I'm going to put a whole cheek connecting with temples for a more blended look.
I'm not going to draw a stroke or put a lot of amount all at once,
but instead I'm going to dot a bit on my cheek and build up the coverage.
I put three times a little by little until I get the look I want.
Next, I'm going to put more of color with a baked blush.
This is a more reddish color, which gives a more flushed effect on your look.
The reason why I put both cream blush and powder is for long-lasting effect and more intensity.
If you put a powder over a wet product like a liquid or cream,
the particles of powder will set the wet product,
which will enable the look to last longer.
So I'm going to put a baked blush with a bit more reddish color with a sponge.
If you put a bit of blush on your chin and a bit on your forehead,
you could get a more youthful and fresher look too.
To put all the attention on the blush,
I'm just going to put a neutral base eyeshadow on my lids.
I'm going to apply it all over my lids as well as along my lower lash lines.
After curling my lashes, I'm going to tightline with a black eyeliner.
After tightlining, I'm going to draw a little winged eyeliner
and then extend the line with a tiny flat brush.
If you're afraid of drawing a winged eyeliner,
you could try this technique, which is much easier.
For a volumizing lash look,
I'm going to use a mascara with a thick wand from Tarte and apply it all over my upper lashes.
For a more detailed look,
I'm going to use a mascara with a thin wand and apply it all over my lower lashes.
For brows, I'm going to take a mid-tone brown shade and simply fill in my brows.
This natural brow look will emphasize the blush look.
Since we are adding lots of blushes,
we need to add more dimension on our face with shadow.
So I'm going to create a fake shadow with contour powder.
Taking an angled brush,
I'm going to swirl the product and start by applying it on the temple.
It's like creating a shadow on the outer face by swiping it.
To get more of a detailed look,
I'm going to take a smaller brush and add shadow on my nose and a bit around my lips.
Now it's time to add that frosty white effect on my eyes.
I'm going to take a white shimmer highlighter from the highlight palette using a small flat brush.
And then I'm going to highlight the exact inner corner of my eyes.
To soften the look, I'm going to use my finger tip to blend a bit.
Instead of applying white shimmer highlighter all over my face,
I'm going to use a different one for my face.
Taking a light pink highlighter,
I'm going to brighten the highest point on my cheekbones and a bit under my brows
and blend it all together.
It's mixing with the blush color well,
so I love the synergy of the two colors together.
Before applying a glossy tint,
I'm going to even out my lip color with a beige lipstick,
which mimics my natural lip color.
After applying the lipstick, now it's glossy lip tint time.
I've been obsessed with this lip product since it gives that juicy and fruity lip look.
This color is more like a grape color,
and it goes really well with the full-on blush look.
I'm going to apply it all over my lips.
As you can see, I ended up with this fun winter blush look,
which is perfect for a Christmas gathering with friends and family.
I hope you guys enjoy this makeup look and wish you all a very happy holidays.
Thank you so much for watching.
I will see you in the next one.
Bye!
