Coloring Coloriando
Hey there little artists!
Can you guess what today's buzzing flying honey making friend is?
That's right, it's a honey bee.
Get your crayons, markers or colored pencils ready
because we're about to start a fun and colorful adventure.
Now, when you draw your honey bee,
make sure to include those big friendly eyes,
a smiling face,
two little antennae on top of its head
and of course,
those see-through wings that help it zip around from flower to flower.
Don't forget the fuzzy body with stripes and six tiny legs.
Bees are insects after all,
but here's the best part,
you don't have to stick to just yellow and black.
Nope, you can make your bee rainbow colored,
polka dotted
or even give it sparkly wings.
This is your masterpiece
and you get to decide how magical your honey bee looks.
Did you know bees talk to each other by dancing?
That's right,
when a bee finds a good flower patch,
it does a little waggle dance to tell the others where to go.
Pretty cool, huh?
Bees are super important helpers for our planet.
They visit flowers and help them grow by moving pollen around.
It's called pollination.
Without bees,
we wouldn't have many of the fruits and veggies we love.
Like apples,
strawberries and even pumpkins.
And guess what else?
A single honey bee makes only about one twelfth of a teaspoon of honey in its whole life.
That means it takes hundreds of bees to fill up just one jar of honey.
Busy bees indeed.
Oh and don't worry if your drawing looks different from mine,
that's what makes art so special.
Everyone's bee is unique,
just like you.
You can even draw a flower garden,
a blue sky,
or a whole hive full of friendly bees buzzing around.

Okay, let's keep going with our colourful buzzing buddy.
Maybe your bee is flying to find flowers,
or maybe it's dancing to show its friends the way.
You can even draw it wearing tiny sunglasses,
or a little crown.
Because why not?
Imagination makes everything more fun.
And here's another fun fact.
Bees have five eyes.
Yup, two big ones and three tiny ones on top of their head.
That helps them see in all directions.
Pretty amazing, right?
Yellow.
Whether your bee is purple, blue, green or golden,
it's going to look bee-ortiful.
Just take your time,
enjoy the colours,
and keep adding your own special touches.
Thanks for drawing with me today.
I can't wait to see all your buzzing brilliant honeybees.
Until next time,
keep colouring,
keep smiling,
and keep being your awesome creative self.
Bye bye little artists.
Bees love.
