Hello everyone! Welcome to Doodle Garden. In today's Draw Simple series we are going to draw
and color a cute rainbow caterpillar. So are you ready to have fun with us? Then grab your pencils
and let's doodle! Let's start with a quick sketch of our caterpillar. You can simply
use any circular object you have on hand to draw the main body. Why not join in and follow along
Have fun!
Now let's use a marker pen to outline our drawing.
We'll begin by outlining the head with its antenna, then the body with its playful little legs.
Next we will add a pattern on its back.
And finally we'll bring out its cute face. It's time to color our caterpillar.
I've chosen a lovely peach color for the head and the lower part of the body.
Now it's time to bring out the magic of the rainbow. I will color each section of the body
with a different rainbow color and I will start with red, then orange, now yellow,
green, blue, indigo, finally purple.
Now I'm using pink to color the legs and the pattern on its back and later the antenna.
Why not use light brown to color those small circles on the body?
You know that these pores are very important for caterpillars for breathing.
Now it's time for the finishing touches to bring our scene to life.
We will add the spines which are very important for the caterpillar's defense
and then we will draw a delicious leaf that our friend is enjoying while munching on it.
