Lelis House, designed by vbrügg, is a weekend residence located in Los Reartes, Argentina, harmonizing with the region’s traditional architecture of stone walls and lightweight roofs. Built on a 10 x 30-meter plot, the house features an 8 x 12-meter footprint organized into longitudinal zones, with service areas, a living room, and an open gallery on the ground floor, while the bedrooms are positioned perpendicularly above. The design integrates cyclopean concrete and white elements, creating a balance between solidity and lightness. A movable façade system regulates light entry, adapting the interior atmosphere. Structural elements, such as a metal framework supporting a lightweight wooden roof, enhance openness and connection to the surroundings. Unique details, including floating stone handles and glass partitions, emphasize the architectural duality of mass and lightness. The house’s design blends modern functionality with local materials, establishing a strong dialogue between durability, essentialism, and ethereal beauty.
