Back in 2022, Sanctuary Foundation helped shape the Homes for Ukraine Scheme by securing 29,000 pledges from people willing to host Ukrainian women and children in their homes. The Scheme enabled the UK to offer a home to over 200,000 Ukrainians. As the only Christian charity involved at the highest levels of government, we influenced the warm national response that followed.

Since then, we have advised and assisted the Home Office, FCDO, and MHCLG in their humanitarian response to refugees. We have advocated for families affected by crises in Sudan, Afghanistan, Syria, Lebanon, and Gaza. We helped enable the first medical evacuation of Gazan children to the UK and are ensuring every child arriving from Gaza is welcomed with compassion.

Our schools work now reaches over 500,000 children per year through our Great Big Live Assembly - one of the largest platforms for Christian witness to young people in Britain. We also partner with the British Library on a national art and poetry competition and have increasing media influence across the BBC and national press.

Our team of three part-time staff is highly efficient, but we are facing significant funding challenges at the moment. Your partnership would enable us to continue offering a clear, compassionate Christian voice in a divided society.
