Elevated Living: A Modern Vancouver Home Designed for Light, Views, and Family

Yield House, designed by Splyce Design in Vancouver, is a contemporary family residence that carefully balances privacy, openness, and connection to its surroundings. Elevated above street level, the house uses a strong concrete base and a controlled approach sequence to separate public and private realms, while expansive glazing opens the main living spaces to panoramic views of the city, mountains, and ocean. The interior is organized to support both large family gatherings and quiet daily living, featuring fluid social spaces, warm material choices like timber ceilings, and thoughtfully integrated secondary areas. Overall, Yield House exemplifies a refined architectural response to site, light, and lifestyle through clarity of form and restrained material expression.
