In a mystery cave in Guizhou, a stilted house is found clinging to the cliff wall.
Next to it, there is a water source. Who on earth would build a house in such a hidden place
and why choose such a secluded spot? Let's vlog my lens and find out.
Hello guys, I'm Tila. Welcome back to my channel. I'm right now at Suiyang, Guizhou.
So we were just driving by when I spotted something incredible. A cave with two-story
house built right inside it. So who lives here and how did it get there? I'm so curious.
So right now let's check it out together. Right now we follow this, you know, path leading to it.
So be watch your step because it covered, you know, with the moss a little bit slippery.
Wow, as you can see, look at the enormous cliff, the cave. Look over here. Right now we can see
the house. It just built right inside the bottom of the cliff face. So okay, let's check it out
closer. As you can see, the whole part is those gravels and the stone and over here it turns
into the cement steps. So actually, it was dripping water from the cliff face.
Wow, as you can see, the cave is so enormous. I think it's just like a mouth of this,
you know, mountain. There's a little structure. I think it's probably, yeah, a toilet,
you know, a bathroom. As you can see, male and female. Look, there's a small pool here.
Probably made to collect dripping water from the, you know, rock wall. But it's dry now.
Yeah, I can see the electricity pole. You know, it shows they definitely have the electricity.
Here is another small pool, but the water is covered with dark weed and moss.
It feels quite humid here. See the wild flower.
So beautiful. There was a, you know, two stoves. Yeah, seems like someone definitely lived here
and the pile of, you know, firewood. Over here, a Buddha statue and also the incense ash.
So is that a temple? I'm not sure. Okay, we arrived. As you can see,
look closely. The house is built with bricks supported below by, you know, so many pillars
in a stilted structure because the ground here is uneven. There is no flat land.
It's strange. Why go through so much trouble to, you know, build a house inside here?
Let's go up and take a look. Actually, it's so quiet. So a little bit nervous to get in here.
Okay, over here, there was a room. Let's get inside. Seems like it's a kitchen. As you can see,
these two are the likely water storage tanks. They are built against the rock wall,
probably to collect water tracking down from kitchen use. Over here, a few plastic buckets.
Also some, you know, bamboo. Over here, there was a window. Let's take a look.
Wow, what a beautiful view. The view is wide open. Okay, let's get to the another room over here.
So we're also, you know, as you can see, only left the skeleton of the bed. Yeah, I think
someone definitely lived here before. Also, the corner. Wow, look over here. I can smell it.
You know, the bed poop. Wow, wow. Even more over there. As you can see, the room is really taken
over by bed guano. Even the bed frame is covered and, you know, the ceiling is all blackened from
a mixture of bed urine and, you know, droppings. It feels like no one has lived here for a long time.
Let's go up to the next floor. Look here. They made good use of the space
using the rock wall as part of the structure. Okay, let's get to the second floor.
Oh, no, please. It's locked. As you can see, we cannot get inside. Okay, on this door, it says
constructed in 2004. From the second floor, as you can see, we can see the full view. There are
doors, tables, and some kitchenware. They're even closed over here. It really seems like someone
lived here, you know, just not at the moment. Okay, unfortunately, we cannot get inside.
Let's head down and check out that opening I saw beside the house, you know, this cave.
Okay, actually, when I get there, I think I hear the waterfall. I think it's definitely right over
here. Also, over here, there are several. I don't know what it is. Maybe just a cave to stick the
incense. Wow, a pile of the tiles left. Wow, see that sheer drop? So narrow. So, as you can see,
this path leads all the way to this spot. Let's get a closer look. Wow, you know, this path is
with moss, so be careful. Wow, as you can see, this part is so narrow. I don't think I have the
guts to get there, but I'm so curious. Okay, never mind. Let's have a try. Wow, it's a waterfall.
Nothing else. Also, the water looks quite murky and it's really dark in there.
Actually, I keep feeling like something might rush out of the water. Okay, let's get back.
I have to turn sideways like this to shuffle along through. Wow, as you can see, the view from this
spot is so incredible. I looked up afterward and this is indeed a temple. Most of the time,
no one is here. Only at certain times, like every June, people come to burn incense and pray.
The kitchenware, tables, and chairs upstairs are left here for those occasions. The temple was
probably built around 2004, not too long ago. Actually, that makes sense. Temples are often
built in special places like this. You know, you would probably feel damned and cheated if someone
lived here. So that's all for today's adventure. Don't forget to subscribe and hit the bell,
so you don't miss out more explorations of the beaten path. See you next time. I'm Kira, bye-bye.
