I was thinking about the fact that it has been way too long
since I've sat down in front of the camera and done my makeup with you.
And I think it's because over the last few weeks,
I was doing like a lot of end of the year wrap up videos.
So I was mainly like recapping everything that I tried in 2025,
sharing the best and the worst products.
And I just wanted to do my makeup.
I thought this would be the perfect time to do
maybe like a New Year's Eve inspired makeup look.
I really didn't wear red lipstick as much as I wanted to this season.
I mean, you can wear a red lipstick all year long,
but like the holiday time screams red lipstick to me.
So I definitely want to incorporate a red lip, sparkly eyeshadow.
I'll do like a full coverage, long wearing base
because I do have a little bit of a longer day today anyway.
So I am using some of my favorite products from 2025 that you heard
that you've heard me talk about.
And then a couple of products that are just like older favorites.
I shopped my stash.
I pulled out some things that I really haven't used in a little while
that I'm excited to focus on over the next few weeks.
But everything in today's video is from either a drugstore or an affordable brand.
So I'll make sure to list everything that I use in the description box.
I'll break it down by category.
And I'll also share the shade names in case I don't actually say them on camera.
I feel like I've been seeing these lip balms from the brand
Vitamask all over my feed, mainly on TikTok.
I think Shelby Ann talked about these and she is one of my favorite creators.
She talks about a lot of drugstore and affordable products.
So when she mentioned something, I do feel like it tends to go viral.
I've had these for a little while and they're great.
They're very, very affordable.
So I thought I would pull mine back out and focus on them.
This one is in the shade of caramel.
It smells really, really good.
These are definitely a good alternative to Summer Fridays.
And again, I feel like every drugstore brand has launched their version
of what Summer Friday is really, I think, popularized.
OK, these are $4.99.
So that is definitely the most affordable alternative that I've tried.
I think Colorpop and Elf are double that.
And then what's the oh, Hard Candy.
Hard Candy, I think, is like seven.
So these are even more affordable than Hard Candy.
They don't have that rubbery applicator that a lot of people love.
This is just like a smaller plastic applicator.
But if I'm wearing lip balm over lipstick or over lip liner,
sometimes I prefer that just because it's easier to clean off.
So I just have sunscreen on right now.
This is the Heimish Artless Glow Base, one of my absolute favorites.
I've repurchased this a million times.
I love the way this looks on its own.
I've been skipping just base products a lot.
And I'll do sunscreen, brow gel and mascara.
And that's it.
And like a lip balm.
And I just feel like this gives me like a confidence boost
because it makes my skin look so glowy and smooth.
But it's also great under foundation for foundation.
I thought I would use an older favorite again.
I feel like people have been talking about this a lot lately.
The Catrice HD Liquid Coverage Foundation.
This has been around forever.
I remember this being so popular like back in 2016,
and it's having another moment again.
So this is a very long wearing foundation.
Great if you are going out for like New Year's Eve.
If you have a super long day ahead of you, it's pretty full coverage,
but you can share it out as well.
I actually haven't worn this in a little while, so I'm excited to wear it today.
This is the shade light beige.
So I'm just going to apply it with my finger
and then blend it in with the kabuki brush from Haley's Beauty,
which is one of my favorites.
And I do want to say thank you to Haley's Beauty for sponsoring today's video.
I'm going to be using some of my favorite makeup products from them.
Some of my favorite tools as well.
They've been amazing to work with.
I've been able to partner with them a little bit over the last few months,
and they just let me feature my favorite products.
And they have so many good products.
Their tools are great.
And the brand as a whole is very affordable,
but the quality really is comparable to high end and even luxury quality.
This foundation brush is great because you can use it to either
stipple your foundation on, you can use it to blend foundation.
I actually use it for cream products as well.
But Haley's Beauty is currently doing 20% off on their Amazon store.
So if you need to purchase some long wearing staples for, again,
a New Year's Eve holiday party, just for like your regular day to day
or stock up for 2026, you can get 20% off.
Which is really nice because I feel like it can be really hard
to get a discount on really anything after the holiday season.
Like everything goes on sale in November and then after the holiday season,
like everything shoots back up to full price.
So I love that they are doing 20% off right now.
So I'll link their store in the description box below.
But I'll also use some of my favorites on camera
just so you can see how they apply and how the whole look comes together.
I forgot how much I love this foundation.
I'm not even using that much, which is nice.
I feel like it pairs really nicely with this sunscreen
because it is more of like a true matte finish.
If you're using like a very glowy, smooth base underneath,
it allows the foundation to kind of stretch farther and you don't need as much.
But if you want to build it up in certain areas, you can definitely do that.
And it doesn't look heavy or cakey.
This foundation honestly was like ahead of its time.
I feel like this does feel like more of a modern formula compared to a lot
of the fuller coverage matte foundations that were popular back in 2016.
Do you remember the Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation?
That was my favorite.
Oh, or the KVD.
What was that like the Tattoo Foundation?
Those were what it was called.
Did I just make that up?
No, KVD did have a full coverage foundation.
I swear it had Tattoo in the name.
For bronzer, I am going to switch it up and use the Milani Cheek Kiss Cream Bronzer.
One of my favorites, for sure.
But I feel like this one tends to get neglected
because I do love the Revolution Beauty one so much.
But I use that one in almost every single video.
So I'm going to use this one.
This is the shade Hey Honey.
And then I'm just going to take a clean kabuki brush from Haley's Beauty
and use this for my bronzer as well.
This is great for cream cheek products.
I do. I was going to say I mainly use this for foundation, but I don't know.
I think I equally use it for cream cheek products as well.
I have a couple.
So I'll usually use one for bronzer, one for foundation and then one for blush.
It's just nice to have a few on hand because it is like a good multipurpose brush.
So this cream bronzer is very long lasting.
I do think it stays in place a little bit better than the Revolution Beauty one.
I think the Revolution Beauty one is slightly creamier,
maybe has like a little bit more of a glow to it.
But on days where I want my makeup to be locked in, this one is great.
So again, really ideal if you are creating a New Year's Eve type of look.
What are your plans for New Year's Eve?
Are you doing anything?
Do you go out?
Do you go to a party?
My family and I stay like every single year.
We should either like throw a party.
Well, my sister, she's like the party thrower, not me.
Or get a babysitter and go to a fun party that maybe maybe next year.
This year, we're actually going to be out of town.
And then the next day we're like flying home.
So I don't think we're going to be doing anything too, too crazy.
But that's why I wanted to do like New Year's Eve inspired makeup look.
Now, I'm just going to take this right on top of my nose
and then I'll clean everything up with a little bit of concealer in just a second.
But you can see that bronzer is not overly glowy, which is nice.
If you have a combo or oily skin and you want a cream bronzer,
that, you know, maybe stays in place a little bit longer than like
the traditional super slippery, glowy cream bronzer.
The Milani one's great.
Again, another old school favorite.
The J.
Kat Beauty stay assurance has a long name.
Water sealed zero smudge concealer.
I have the shade buff,
which, you know, it might be a little bit dark for this look.
We'll see.
I haven't used this very much since the summertime.
It is one of my favorite summer favorites because it's super long wearing.
But again, it's great really any time of the year.
This one does have a little bit more of a matte finish,
but it also doesn't tend to enhance dryness,
which is great because I've been dealing with some dryness,
especially right around my nose.
OK, this brush has been my go to.
This is also from Haley's.
It's their concealer brush.
The shape of this is so perfect.
I just love it for so many reasons, because number one,
it gets right up into this inner corner, which I really like to brighten that area.
It hugs right around the nose nicely.
You can also just create like a little bit of a lifted effect right here.
The shape of it is nice, but it's also the perfect density
because it is pretty dense, so it's not going to create a streaky look.
I feel like sometimes the issue with like a fluffier brush,
especially if you're using it for concealer,
for cream products, is that it just ends up looking streaky
and it doesn't allow the product to hold its coverage on the skin.
But if it is firmly, if it's too densely packed,
it can almost have the same effect
because it like drags the product in an unflattering way.
So I love this.
I also like this for like one and done eyeshadow looks
because of the way it's shaped.
You can create a wing very easily, which is nice,
but definitely my go to concealer brush.
The other day I couldn't find it
and it like fell behind where I do my makeup
and I was like, I cannot do my makeup without this.
OK, I'm going to set my makeup into place
with the Haley's Retouch Soft Focus Setting Powder.
This is the talc free version, so they have their original version
and then they did a talc free version as well.
What's nice about this compared to a lot of other talc free powders
is this one is still very, very smooth.
Sometimes when brands and I notice a lot of brands
have been reformulating their powder products to be talc free
and sometimes when they do that, the formula isn't quite the same.
It's not as good, but that's definitely not the case with this one.
So I'm just taking this Haley's Powder Puff.
This is the red one.
They have two, but I like this one for under the eyes
because it comes in like a nice triangular shape
so you can get right under the eyes.
Oh, I applied a little bit too much powder.
That's OK, because this is such like a thin, finely milled powder.
It is kind of hard to over apply it.
You know what?
This reminds me of the Makeup By Mario Setting Powder,
but this one I think is more ideal if you have combo or oily skin.
It's just as soft as that one.
It's just as smoothing, but it actually locks your makeup into place better
and keeps your skin from getting as oily.
That Makeup By Mario powder is gorgeous,
but when I wear that, my skin does get oily a lot faster
than if I use another powder.
And this one has that same smooth texture.
It gives you like that kind of blurred finish.
I mean, you can see the difference between the two sides.
But again, it keeps my skin matte, which is nice.
I do even in the winter, I get a little bit oily,
like right in this area and my T-zone in general,
like right straight down the center of my face.
And I love using a matte powder, but a lot of matte powders are too matte.
So this one is ideal.
And I think I think I said in the beginning of the video,
I've been dealing with so much dryness, like right around my nose.
So that's the other issue, because sometimes powders can look dry and heavy and cakey.
This is just all around such a good formula.
And even if you don't have combo or oily skin, I think you would like this
because it really doesn't enhance dryness.
It just kind of smooths over everything in a very flattering way.
So I usually use one of the powder puffs to like set the center of my face.
And then I'll use a fluffy brush just to lightly apply it everywhere else
because I don't need as much powder on like the outer perimeter.
I love the shape of this powder puff, though,
just because you can get in all of the smaller areas really well.
It actually comes as like a duo.
And the other one is like a rounded powder puff, which is great, too,
especially if you want to set like large areas of your face.
I'm just taking like the tiniest amount.
You probably can't even see much in the cap.
And this is their powder brush.
I'm just like really swirling it in and tapping off any excess
and then just lightly setting the rest.
I'm wearing a white shirt today, so I don't want my makeup to transfer.
Why? Why am I wearing a white shirt while I'm doing my makeup on camera?
I don't know.
Let me do the brows really quickly.
I'll fly through this because I know I use the same products every single time.
I might try to, you know, come up with some new brow products in 2026.
If I didn't film beauty videos, I would be and I am really content just using these.
But I feel like it gets a little boring if you watch my videos regularly,
because you're probably like the same seeing the same things every single time.
Anyway, NYX makes my favorite brow product.
So this is the NYX Thick It Stick It Brow Gel.
So I'm just going to run this through my brows
and let it dry completely before going in with the brow pen.
I just started this one, but this is the difference it makes.
So here's what my brow looks like with no brow gel.
Here's what it looks like with brow gel.
So let me apply it to the other one,
and then I'll come back and apply the brow pen afterwards.
And then this is the NYX Lift and Snatch Brow Pen.
I'm just going to.
Oh, I don't think I still don't think after all this time I can talk and do it at the same time.
Now, that wasn't too bad.
I'm just going to run this through my brows.
So that is the difference it makes.
Sometimes it just looks a little bit intense.
So I'll take a spoolie and kind of brush it through just a little bit.
And then I've also been taking the NYX Micro Brow Pencil.
Sometimes I do this.
Sometimes if I'm in a hurry, I skip it.
But I do think it makes a difference right in this area.
I'll just use it to kind of define that a little bit more and then just pull that out a little bit.
So that is it for the brows.
Let me do the other one, and I'll be right back to do the eyes.
Before I do the eyes, I just want to switch up the Vitamask Lip Balm
and show you what this one looks like.
This one is Pink Vanilla.
There's not like a big difference on the lips,
at least on my lips, between Pink Vanilla and Caramel.
But this one has like more of that cupcake vanilla scent.
I would say you don't need both of these shades because they're both so sheer.
I would go based on the scent you like better.
I think I like Pink Vanilla a little bit better.
It reminds me of whatever that Summer Fridays one is.
The pink one that has shimmer in it.
Pink Sugar.
I can't remember anything today.
I just double checked.
It's Birthday Cake.
The difference is that one has shimmer, so they look a little bit different on the lips,
but they smell exactly the same.
It smells really good.
And then I do have the Wild Cherry one.
I'll apply that in a second.
So for the eyes, I wanted to use this palette from Morphe.
This is their Flickering Sands palette.
OK, so in 2025, I tried the Chroma Plus six pan palettes.
They're gorgeous.
So beautiful.
I think I shared them in my favorites of 2025 video.
And then on Black Friday, Ulta was doing a sale like 40% off Morphe palettes.
So I picked up like a very basic staple neutral palette.
But I was curious to know if this formula was the same as the six pan palettes.
And I don't know, like they have the same name,
but this one feels a little different.
The matte shadows in here are like extra creamy.
And then it has more of like a it has more satin options,
whereas the six pan palettes have like a mix of satins, metallics,
and then that like new formula that's very wet looking on the eyes.
Anyway, let me get started.
Let's do this shadow in the crease.
I think I'm going to go for a pretty warm eye today,
kind of similar to what I would have done like years and years ago.
I've been keeping my eye shadow super basic,
but I want to get back to wearing more eye shadow in 2026
because it is one of my favorite parts of my makeup routine.
Anyway, this palettes already fairly affordable,
especially for having 12 shadows in it.
But like during Black Friday, I think I got it for like 10 or 11,
12 dollars, maybe a really, really great deal.
And the quality is great.
I don't know if you need a new palette as we head into 2026.
Maybe you're going to focus on shadows you already own.
Maybe you do need an updated palette.
They have a cooler version as well, which I did buy that one, too.
I haven't used it yet, though.
And then they have, I think, like one or two others
that maybe have more colorful shades in them.
I'm just going to take this lightest shade right here,
this matte shadow and really blend out that edge
because I want these two to kind of blend together.
This is just like a very basic transition color.
And then I will darken up the crease in just a second.
So let me do the same thing on the other eye and I'll be right back.
And then I'm going to take this shadow in the crease just to really warm it up.
I feel like warm kind of orangey neutrals go so well with a red lip.
And again, I haven't worn a red lip as much over the last few weeks
as I would have liked to.
But when I was, I was pairing it with like very basic shadow.
And I kind of want to do like something a little bit more impactful
on the eyes and the lips.
This is bringing me back to the old school YouTube days
where a neutral palette was just full of like orangey neutrals.
But I kind of love it.
I haven't really worn a ton of super intense warm eyeshadow lately.
I'm just going to use the same brush and go back into that transition shade
to kind of blend this out even more.
And I don't know that I'll go too dark today,
but I do want to go in with like a gold shadow all over the lid.
So let me just do the other eye.
I think I'm just going to take the brush I was using
and just whatever was left on there,
kind of lightly blend it on the lower lash line.
I'm not going to go too intense on the lower lash line.
I can't decide what shade to use on the lid.
I might go in with this bronzy tone
and then take either like a ColourPop Super Shock shadow
or a little bit of highlighter right in the center
to brighten it up even more.
But let's go in with this shade.
I feel like that will go perfectly.
With this formula, I just like to use my finger.
I mean, that's kind of the case with any like satin or metallic,
but it's really just a smooth, creamy formula.
Very lightweight, though.
It doesn't feel super thick.
Honestly, the quality of this palette is so good,
especially if you like the idea of like a very smooth shadow.
So I have a little bit of dryness on my eyelid.
That's kind of the case for me during the winter time.
And I feel like sometimes shadows can really enhance that.
But because these shadows are so smooth,
they just kind of glide over any dry areas.
I can't decide about eyeliner.
I think I might do,
maybe I'll do like a little bit of shadow in place of eyeliner.
I don't even think I'm going to do black, though.
I'll go in with this dark brown
and just kind of lightly line my eye
and create like a very subtle wing.
I think I only did liquid liner
like a handful of times in 2025.
I did do like some shadow liner
or occasionally I do like a cream.
But pencil liner, I feel like is so much faster.
Like that took two seconds.
Not pencil, eyeshadow.
And then I just take a brush
and kind of like clean up the edge.
Just create like a very subtle wing
without it being too, too intense.
I'm just going to curl my lashes,
apply some mascara.
This lash curler is from Haley's as well.
You know what I never realized?
Eyelash curlers are not made the same.
Like they're shaped differently.
The like metal they use is different.
Like everything's a little bit different.
And this one is very effective
at curling my very straight lashes.
You probably can't see
because my natural lashes are basically
almost translucent.
So I don't know if you can tell the difference,
but you'll be able to see once I apply mascara.
I just added a little bit of black liner to tight line.
And then I'm going to be using
the Reveal Lash Lengthening Mascara from Haley's.
This is actually different
than any other mascara I've tried.
Like it is truly the lightest weight mascara.
It was formulated in Korea.
And I was trying to think of like another formula
or another mascara in general I've tried
that's like this.
And I don't think I have a comparison.
It is so, so lightweight.
So I think that's the reason why it does such a great job
of like lifting your lashes and not weighing them down.
Because pretty much every mascara I've ever tried
has weighed my lashes down.
And I never really noticed that in the past
because 2026 was like the first,
I don't know what year is this?
2025 was the first year
where I really started curling my lashes.
I've always been like really scared of eyelash curlers.
But it makes such a difference
when your lashes are like lifted and curled
because it makes them look so much longer.
I have very short, very sparse natural lashes.
And this mascara and this eyelash curler
really work together so well
to keep my lashes like boosted and lifted.
What's nice is you can apply a very light layer
or you can layer it up too.
Like on days where I don't wear any makeup,
like I was saying,
and I just do my brows and my lashes,
I might take like just this much.
And I feel like it helps to just open up my eyes
in more of a natural way
without looking too intense or too dramatic.
But you can also layer it up as well.
I'm telling you,
if curled lifted lashes is like your main concern,
you will be blown away by this formula.
Like it just does such a good job.
I was just checking my footage
to make sure everything looked okay.
And I forgot that I had wanted to put a super shock shadow
or a highlighter on top.
This one's kind of dried out.
I need to go through my super shock shadow collection
and get rid of a lot of the older ones.
I should have done this before I did my mascara
because now I'm going to end up with the shadow on my lashes,
but that's okay.
I really just wanted to like brighten up the eyes
a little bit more.
I think that's good.
And then I'm just going to take that lightest shadow
one more time
and really make sure the edges are very well blended.
And then that is it for the eyes.
It's weird because this feels like a lot of eye shadow to me
and I used to wear so much more,
but I feel like I have a lot on.
You know what?
Where's my concealer brush?
I just want to clean up like this area right here
because I feel like I blended that shadow in
a little bit too close to my nose.
I almost forgot to apply the last lip balm from Vitamask.
This one is Wild Cherry.
This doesn't smell like the same cherry
that a lot of other brands do.
I don't know what it is.
I can't tell if it's like a more realistic cherry
or a more artificial cherry.
I think it kind of has like a cough syrup scent a little bit.
But it's not as intense as like some of the other
cherry lip balms out there.
So if you want like a softer wash of red,
this might be more ideal for you.
So as you can see, all of the Vitamask lip balms,
at least the ones I have are pretty sheer,
which could be a pro for you or a con
depending on what you typically go for.
I'm just going to take a little bit of bronzer from LA Girl
before I go in with blush.
I like this because it's like a good,
like it's the perfect tone.
So it kind of works as like a bronzer contour all in one.
Anyway, this is the On Cloud 9 Blush Bronzer Duo in Misty Mauve.
And I don't think I'm going to use the blush today
because I kind of want like a warm peachy blush.
But I didn't want to use like too warm of a bronzer as well
because I feel like that will be a little bit much.
And then for blush,
I want to use one of the Revolution Beauty
Bouncy Blur Blushes.
I think I'll go with the lighter one.
This one is Light as a Cloud Peachy Pink.
And then this one is Paprika Soft Bronze.
I think I'll go with this one just because
I don't want to have too, too much going on today
since I will have a red lip
and I do have more colorful eyeshadow,
at least more colorful than I've been wearing lately.
So I'm just going to add this to the cheeks.
I like this because, oh, it's so pretty.
It has like a nice glow to it.
And it just makes your skin look so smooth, so beautiful.
But it's also very long lasting, which is great.
Go for a good amount of it.
It's hard to mess this up
because it is like such a forgiving, smoothing formula.
I love it because it does have a glow to it.
But I think today I might use a pretty intense highlighter
because listen, if I was doing my makeup on New Year's Eve,
I'd probably go for the most intense highlighter
I could find.
I'm just going to take this right on my nose as well.
One thing I need to work on in 2026
is my blush application.
When I'm applying it and I'm looking at the side,
I'm like, oh, it looks perfect.
And then I look straight on and I'm like, what?
I don't know what the issue is.
I don't know if I need to keep it higher,
if I need to pull it in further.
I think sometimes I go too low.
But someone told me I go too high.
I don't know.
I'm asking for your constructive feedback on this one.
What am I doing wrong?
I just, ever since I was like,
I don't know what age I started wearing blush.
Ever since I was young,
my blush application has been like
a difficult part of my routine.
Again, from the side, it looks fine.
But like straight on, there's something,
I think it's like it's too low
or like maybe it needs, I don't know.
Let me know.
I don't know.
It's really bothering me today.
I feel like this part of my face looks so,
like it just ends in such a stark way.
That didn't make it better.
What?
I don't know.
What am I doing wrong today?
Whenever I did wear a red lip this holiday season,
this is what I was reaching for
because it's a dual-ended product.
So it is the Remark dual-ended lipstick
and liner from Haley's Beauty.
They have three different options,
but I think my favorite is Siren
just because it is like the perfect classic red.
What's nice about this product is the shades,
like the lip liner shade
and the lipstick shade are slightly different.
So it's nice because you can customize your lip look.
You can go in with a little bit more of the liner.
You can sheer out the lipstick
and it's not going to look the exact same.
Like it doesn't feel like you're applying
the same exact color,
just with like a thinner tip for the lip liner,
if that makes sense.
So I actually like that
because I do feel like the value is even better
since they are slightly different.
The formulas are also a little bit different as well.
The liner is very long lasting.
It dries down to like a complete matte finish.
It's not going to go anywhere all day long.
And then the lipstick has more
of like a soft satin finish that leans matte.
So really flattering on the lips,
but incredibly creamy.
So very moisturizing, very, very comfortable.
You can sheer it out.
You can build it up.
You can use it as blush if you want to.
It's just like a very easy to work with formula.
Also perfect if you are looking for
like a New Year's Eve lip color
or you're someone who likes to wear your lipstick
and have it in place all day
because this is very long lasting.
I feel like this is just the most perfect,
like classic red shade
that would be flattering on so many people.
I need to make a commitment in 2026
just to break out red lipstick more often
and just wear it on like a normal everyday occurrence.
To finish things up,
I think I'm going to take the NYX Buttermilk Highlighter.
This is in Bright and Butter
and use this to highlight the cheeks.
It's a pretty intense highlighter,
which isn't like normally my go-to for day to day.
But I feel like for New Year's Eve,
like you have to, you have to,
if there's, if there's, what am I trying to say?
If there's no other perfect,
if there's, what better perfect time
to break out a really intense highlighter
than New Year's Eve.
That's what I'm trying to say.
And then, you know what?
Let me just take a little bit of this
and put it right, yeah, right on the inner corner.
That really finishes off the eye look.
So that's it from me for today's video.
Thanks for hanging out with me.
I had a lot of fun sitting down
doing my makeup with you.
I'm sure I'll have more of these videos soon
because there will be a bunch of new drugstore releases
over the next few weeks
and I'll be here to test them all out.
Thanks again to Haley's for sponsoring today's video
and just supporting my channel.
I absolutely love Haley's products.
And again, right now they're 20% off on Amazon.
So make sure to link their storefront in the description
as well as the specific products I use.
They really are just gorgeous formulas,
high quality brushes, tools, really everything.
You can't go wrong with them.
So thanks again for being here
and I will see you very soon with a new one.
Bye.
