A Forest Retreat That Feels Weightless | Casa Cono

Casa Cono by Estudio Atemporal is a contemporary retreat located in the forests of Valle de Bravo, Mexico, designed for a young couple seeking to escape urban life. Composed of two intersecting rectangular volumes arranged in an L-shape, the 180-square-meter home harmonizes with the sloping terrain and surrounding trees. Featuring full-height glass facades that blur the boundaries between inside and out, the house connects deeply with its natural setting. The ground floor hosts open social areas centered around a sheltered patio, while the upper level contains private bedrooms with warmer, intimate atmospheres. Designed with respect for the landscape, Casa Cono embodies Estudio Atemporal’s vision of weightless architecture that coexists with the forest rather than dominating it.
