This is day 10 of the 12 days of
fitness. I hope you are enjoying classes
as of late. There are a ton to choose
from. So, if you did did not get in
those other classes yet, you still have
time. Plus, I'm off next week from
teaching. So, feel free to take as many
as you need. All right. Today we are
doing the annual Christmas sorry cookie
crusher metabolic conditioning. Yes.
Does that sound like a good plan?
Yes.
Day 10. We're getting it. We're getting
it. We're going to crush some cookies in
advance or Sans like after. Right. Not
Sans post cookie crusher.
Okay.
What you need for this class is weights
and a mat. And I think that's it. Let me
see. Let me see. Yes. Okay. And we're
doing slightly different than what I
typically do in my metabolic
conditioning class um in the app or
usually in the app. Um we're going to do
sets. We're going to do um
sets of 20 for our first round and then
we're going to go down by five for each
set of strength work. Okay. Well, it's
like a mix of strength and um cardio and
then we're going to do cardio
following that. Uh
each set is five. So, five strength,
five cardio.
Um,
yes.
And the interval times are descending
too. Okay. So, ready?
Let's do a few stretch moves.
All right. Big scoops.
Good
squats.
Oh yeah.
Lunges
and back for more little twist over that
front leg.
Couple more.
Last one.
And take it wide. Drop a shoulder. Drop
a shoulder.
Oh, Lisa's back for more.
>> Yay. Me, too. Me, too.
>> Good.
>> Drop that chest. Get a stretch through
the back of the legs. Widen your stance.
Grab one side. Pull. Oh, yeah.
That's good. Other side.
Oh, this will be a good cardio song,
right?
Push into those feet.
Good. Into plank. And then rotate.
Big rotation. Add a pushup.
Rotate.
Add a pushup.
One more set.
Good. Walk those hands back.
>> Wide stance and swing.
Get that tightness in the back side to
go. Three, two, one. Roll it on up.
I might have to come back to this song.
Good. Okay.
High knees.
Squat jacks.
>> Good. Squat jumps.
>> Jacks.
skips
>> other side
and get a shuffle in laterally.
Good. Last one.
and hopefully feeling a little bit
warmer. If you need a little bit more,
feel free to pause me and get there
before we do. So, five exercises. First
round is 20 reps of each exercise. Okay,
we've got a mix of cardio and strength.
Yes. First exercise, total body
extensions or if you want to call it
like last class, hang the star. The body
of the elf. Hang the star. 20 of them
down. and up. You can jump or go to toe.
Ready, set.
Let's go.
That was 20 for me. Next one. 20 goblet
squats. Grab your heaviest weight.
Ready? Let's
go.
At the 10. I'm going to switch my grip.
Okay, we got swings.
If you have a kettle bell, feel free to
use that instead, especially if it's got
a good weight to it. But if you don't
have that option, a dumbbell will work.
It is a swing. We are popping those
hips. 20 total. Ready?
Let's go.
And that's 20 for me.
I'm going to turn up the music and I
grab my other heavy weight. We got a
deadlift coming. 20 of them.
Simple deadlift.
In that deadlift,
I'm looking for a back that's flat.
Booty is back. You can have a soft bend
in those knees, but I don't want this.
Okay. No rounding of the back. Keep
those. It's almost like an exaggerated
chest out like you're proud of yourself
or you're Yeah, you get the idea. 20
total. Ready, set.
Let's go.
Little squeeze of the glutes at the top.
>> Oh yeah.
Halfway.
Oh my gosh.
That's 20.
Okay.
Racked lunges. 10 each side.
Take those weights, place them on my
shoulders, hold them in place. You can
hold the handles. Do whatever you got to
do. But you got 20 total. You ready?
Last one in this set. Let's go.
In the moon,
the people falling
as we fly.
I'm
flying
in the air.
That's 20 from me. Good job, you guys.
>> Give you a few more moments before we
hit up our cardio.
Okay.
So, first cardio is five exercises, 45
seconds each. Okay.
Get the timer out.
Oh, whoops.
No.
ready.
>> I'm not.
>> Okay, we're going to do 45 and about
halfway through I will call it and
you're going to switch legs. Okay.
>> Oh my goodness.
>> Five exercises. Very short break in
between each. Okay. First exercise
is lunge in, out jump. Okay, in out
jump. Ready, set, let's go.
We're crushing cookies. Come on. We're
walking.
>> Front leg is
>> 3, two, one. Switch sides.
>> We wish you a merry Christmas.
Three, two, one.
>> Oh, I like this one. Okay, next one.
Squat jacks. Moving forward and back.
So, these but moving.
>> Let's go.
Wow, it's a mash up a bunch of songs.
That was fun.
>> Oh my gosh.
Are you feeling these?
>> Three, two,
and one.
I'm going to switch to the actual cookie
crusher playlist next.
Ignore
the timer. I'll reset. We got skips.
>> Again, half and half. So, stay on one
side.
Sit. Let's go.
Lots of skipping today.
Not in this class necessarily, but
Switch legs in three, two, and one.
Let's go.
>> Merry Christmas.
Three, two, one.
Okay. Prisoner jack knee crunches.
Okay.
Ready? Let's go.
>> Don't pull on your head.
Make sure that knee is coming up
instead.
Big break after this set. One more
exercise after this. Come on, we got
this.
Oh gosh. Three, two, and one.
Okay.
Knee, knee punch. Okay, that's the next
one. Set.
Let's go. knee.
>> Oh, and I found another one.
>> We'll have to do this one.
They didn't block this one.
>> Good job.
>> Bring it on Wednesday.
>> Unless they block it by then. You're
done. Grab some water.
>> Yay. Yay.
>> I'm glad I found it again. It's a
different version, but that's okay.
>> All right,
>> we're round. But we're down to round
two.
>> How are you?
>> I know. It's a great one. You can't have
Christmas without this song.
Okay.
>> It is not the Mariah Carey version
obviously,
>> but the one that I had for uh our lit
song, the other cover was eliminated off
of uh Spotify this year. So, I'm glad I
found this one. We'll do this one. Okay,
round two. Five exercises again, but
we're taking down the rep count by five.
Okay. Yes. Me too, Lisa.
Okay. 15 of everything.
Uh more focused on the upper body. Okay.
So, first round was focused more lower
body. This one is upper body. And then
third round is
a total body. And then we have core at
the very end if we have time. Okay. All
right. Let's get to it. 15 flies. 15
flies.
Grab the weights that you want to fly
with.
Okay. You ready? Nice. Again, hinge at
the waist. Shoulders down and back. Hug
that big ball. Let's get it. 15.
You're welcome.
Good. That was 15 for me. I'm going
heavier. We got some rows coming.
Bent over rows. Same idea. Beautiful
posture.
Never rounding the back. Shoulders
rolled down and back. Chest out. Narrow
palm in. rows. 15. Let's go.
Okay, we have shoulder presses.
Going a little lighter for that. They
are narrow
narrow.
15 total.
So, palms still in. Ready?
Let's go.
That was 15.
Okay, 90° raise.
If you need to go a little lighter, feel
free.
>> 90 degree raise. 15 of them. Set.
>> Let's go.
Christmas around
the room
but I won't
15.
Okay, we have a tricep overhead
extension.
Okay,
>> I think I can keep my headband on.
>> All right, 15 of them. Ready, set, let's
go. Don't tuck your chin
>> and don't lock your knees out.
I' been down
to my
>> Oh, that was 15.
Okay,
>> we got some cardio.
>> Yes, we got 40 seconds. 40 seconds.
Okay, again going down by fives. Okay,
we have six by six. Six high knees, six
butt kicks. Okay, back and forth.
I I don't have a 40 second timer, so
just stop with 5 seconds left,
>> whether I call it or not. Okay,
>> ready,
set. Six by six. Let's go.
Three, two, one.
>> Oh my gosh.
>> Nice.
>> Okay.
We got a four by one coming.
Okay,
four pulses, one tuck jump. If you don't
want to tuck jump,
squat and drive the knee. Ready,
set,
let's go.
>> Four, three, two, one.
Three, two, One,
Serena. Yes, we are still going. Crazy
that we are. Okay,
next one. Lateral shuffle
hop.
Whatever direction you're going, the
opposite leg is coming across for that
hop. Okay, ready? 40 seconds.
Let's go.
>> Have you been naughty or nice?
>> Have you been Ready or nice.
3 2 1 go.
Three, two, and one.
Okay,
we've got
three, two, one, jump. Three, two, one,
jump, jump. Okay, so 90° turns.
All right. Ready?
Let's go.
Oh, I'm doing it wrong.
I don't really care how you do it as
long as you're getting all three
components in.
Three, two, one. Good job. Okay. Three
skaters, two jacks.
Three, two, one. Two jacks. And then
other leg. Yes.
Feeling it. Let's go.
Come Come on. Last set.
Three, two, and one. Good job. Take a
break.
Nice work, you guys.
There you go, Serena. I love it. Get it,
girl.
Okay,
our total body
is 10 of everything. Okay,
total body work. So, incorporating legs
and upper body and core of course. And
then
even though it we're being we've been
going down by fives, we are going to go
down to 30 second intervals for this
next cardio. Okay, then we'll finish out
with core. I hope that you guys are cool
with that. We're going to try and speed
through this. We may not get to core. If
we do, it'll be five of everything.
Maybe doubling up on some things. Okay,
10 faux slams. So, grab the weed that
that's going to work with.
Just 10 of them. Going to speed through
this. Okay.
Big overhead and you're going to fake
slam it into the floor. Okay. If you got
a med ball, it's a great option to use.
You ready? 10 of them. Let's go.
Oh, I'm losing my headband.
Okay.
Okay. We've got five
racked
going one way. The opposite shoulders
wrapped to the direction you're going.
Five of them. Let's go.
Switch sides.
Good. Good.
Good job.
Okay, next one. It's a weighted sit up.
I know I said core later, but yeah, if
you need assistance with your feet, feel
free to use some furniture to keep your
feet underneath, but it is a weighted
sit up. Your goal is to not
tuck your chin and full sit up. Okay,
keep those arms as straight as you can.
Ready? Five uh 10 of them. Let's go.
And that was 10.
Okay,
we are flipping over.
We're pushing into our toes. We're If
you can, you're going to hover those
knees and we've got a combination of
moves. Okay. Um, five of them because
that'll be equivalent essentially to 10.
So, I'll show you what I mean. Okay.
Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. And that's one.
Okay, you have five sets. If you don't
want to count, just wait. Like follow my
lead. Ready.
Actually, let's do eight. Yeah. Set.
Let's go.
That's one.
That's two.
Three.
Last one. Come on.
Okay,
this is a fun one.
Nutcracker, Swagger, Dance of the Sugar
Plum. Very hip-hop remix.
Got to throw Swagger in there somewhere.
Oh, so good. Okay,
we got cardio. 30 seconds each.
Oh my gosh. Okay.
All right. All right. Two twists, one
squat jump.
Okay. 30 seconds. Set. And let's do it.
are in space.
Yeah.
Three, two, and one.
Okay.
So,
ball. Okay. Fa squat jumps. Yeah, I
know. If it doesn't feel right, you can
just do regular squat jumps. Okay.
Ready?
Let's go.
Done. Oh my gosh, I went extra, didn't
I? My bad.
Okay, we have a three or two by one.
It's two hops and on the third, we're
going to drop lateral hops. So, three,
two, one. Sit into it. Yes.
Whether you like it or not.
30 seconds. Let's go.
Three, two, one. I caught that one.
Okay, we're hitting the floor. We have a
4x4
crossbody mountain climbers for four
followed by uh sorry, four by two two uh
plank jacks.
So, cross cross jack. Okay,
let's get it.
Three, two, one.
Okay,
we've got ski jumps
in front plank position.
I need another second or two.
Recover. Recover.
We're doing big ski jumps. So,
leg leg back and forth. Okay, let's
finish this thing.
Last cardio move for this set. Let's go.
If you don't want to jump, just steps.
Three, two, one. Oh my gosh. Take a
break.
Amazing job you guys.
No joke, man.
That is tough. Tough stuff.
Good work.
Okay, we get to finish out with some
core.
We might double up some of this, but
pretty much five of everything. Okay, we
have a side plank, hip lift, top leg
crunch.
Okay,
if you can, you're here. If you need it.
Uh you can be here. Okay, lift and
crunch. Okay, that's option number two.
If you can handle stacking your feet and
lifting the hip and then crunching in,
that's one rep. Okay, five of them, then
we'll switch sides. Ready, set, let's
go.
Good. Switch sides.
Remember your options and let's get it.
I did extra on the other side. So, I'm
going to do
cuz I lost it count
seven each side. It's fine. Extra
credit, right? Okay. We got hip dips 10.
We're doubling it up. Okay.
Take five hip dips each side. So, I'm
looking for you to drop your hip. You do
not have to touch the floor, but do your
best. We go side to side. 10 total. It's
going to be quick. All right,
set. Let's go.
That was too quick. Let's do 10 more. I
don't know why they're playing Carmen.
That's not a Christmas song. But be set,
three, two, and one.
Good job.
All right, this one is actually Let's
make it eight.
I know I'm all over the place.
This the habanera
trap style. You got to love it. But it's
not Christmas.
I've watched it around Christmas time of
the opera, but I have not ever heard it
played as Christmas music. Okay,
this is definitely
Okay, we've got plank pops.
Yeah. Down, down, up, up. One count.
Okay,
ready?
Let's go.
We got eight of them.
>> Go to your knees if you have to.
>> And that was eight.
I want to wish you a merry Christmas.
>> We've got 10 jack knives. Each leg
counts as one.
>> You're like, I don't know what a jack
knife is. I don't want to know.
>> Too bad. We're finding out. Right here.
All the way down.
>> All the way up.
>> Okay. 10 of them. Let's go. Merry
Christmas. I want to wish you a merry
Christmas.
>> Good job.
All right, we have 20 bicycles, but
they're
>> uh
>> Yeah, I think we can do 20 quickly on
each side.
>> Let's just finish with a bang. Sound
good? Okay,
this is it. And then we're going to
stretch.
>> Okay,
>> it's oblique bicycles, though. Okay,
it's 20 on each side. Ready, set, let's
go.
It's slower cuz you're on your side.
exercise.
>> Let's go.
>> Oh my gosh, these are hard.
Three, two, one.
>> We did it.
>> Oh my gosh. Why are those so hard?
>> Okay, I'm going to find it.
Good. Here
we go.
Oh, let's stretch. Good job, you guys.
We did it.
Stay on the floor. Sit back onto your
heels.
>> Walk those fingertips away
and then walk them to one side.
Stretch it up.
So good.
>> Curl those toes under. Push that booty
up. Push the heels down.
deeper stretch
>> and rock back and forth
>> and back to stretch.
>> Bring one foot forward. Push the hips.
Thank you, Lisa.
Somebody me too. I did not want to get
up off that floor. Oh gosh. And twist it
over that front leg.
>> Good. Straighten out that front leg.
>> If you need to bring that leg a little
bit closer, do it. If this doesn't feel
comfortable, get into whatever position
helps you and get a nice quad stretch.
I like to kind of be on the top of the
knee, the top of the quad, because on
the kneecap, it just doesn't feel right.
You too, Lisa. Thank you for being here.
Switch sides. Push that hip forward.
Good. Twist over that leg.
Good. And straighten it out. Toes up.
>> Bring that foot in just a bit. Get your
quad.
arm across
here. Other side.
Good. Get your triceps. We worked it
today. We got north swole, didn't we?
North swole, baby.
We did it. Good work. Please join me
tomorrow live at
7:45.
Uh,
>> yes. 6:30.
>> I teach at 6:30.
I think 7:45 should work. Uh, especially
if I have everything set up. Yes, it is
our annual Chris Kringle K-pop crazy
cardio class that is tomorrow live at
7:45. It's a different time because I
teach live and in person um earlier in
the morning. So, um join me at that time
if you can. It is super fun. It is all
K-pop if that is your jam. And even if
it's not, it is so much fun. Thank you
guys so much for being here. I hope you
had fun. Uh, join me tomorrow if you
can. Thought of the day as we take off.
Holy crazy song.
Christmas is a necessity. There has to
be at least one day of the year to
remind us that we are here for something
else besides ourselves. So good, right?
Thank you guys. Thank you for thinking
of yourself and taking this class. But
get out there and be kind, okay? You
guys are the best.
