Thank you for watching this week's cozy vlog ❤️ I hope you enjoy these tender moments of slow living here on my farm as I prepare for the Christmas season making homemade Polish makowiec (poppy seed bread), handmade paper ornaments and painted decorations, and sugar cookies with my children. Mom and I also go on a little trip to the Czech village and enjoyed a festive holiday craft show 🥰

🥖 Makoweic Ingredients (makes 2):
-1/2 cup (114 g) butter, softened
1/2 cup (100 g) granulated sugar
4 large eggs, yolks and whites divided
1 cup (240 ml) milk, scalded (any kind)
2 1/4 tsp or one package active dry yeast
1/4 cup (60 ml) lukewarm water
5 cups (625 g) all-purpose flour
1 tsp kosher salt
1 egg + 1 tbsp water for egg wash
2 cups (400 g) ground poppy seeds
1 cup (240 ml) boiling hot water
1/2 cup (60 g) finely chopped walnuts
1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
Zest of 1 orange
