He also talks about his bid to buy a controlling stake in the Baltimore Orioles baseball team that values the franchise at $1.73 billion. Major League Baseball still needs to approve the deal. Rubenstein is part of a group of investors that includes Michael Bloomberg, the founder and majority owner of Bloomberg News parent Bloomberg LP, that is trying to buy the team.
